Fair hotel

I came to Chicago for a three-day and two-night trip. The location of this hotel is good. There is a Whole Foods supermarket behind the hotel and a Trade Joes two blocks away. There are many restaurants around. The breakfast in the hotel is very simple, with bread and one kind of fruit, milk, yogurt, tea and coffee as standard.

We spent 4 days in this hotel. Nice comfortable room We checked in earlier, thank you very much for that, Breakfast is typical for America, I read in other reviews that there was a long wait for food, but we didn’t experience this. Of the minuses - during the 4 days of our stay there was no cleaning even once, although it seems like it should be every day. Overall, I recommend the hotel!

Perfect hotel to discover Chicago. Located in the river north area with restaurants, supermarkets and shops nearby. Well connected to the airport and a 15-minute walk from the riverwalk.

Unreasonable deduction of deposit, negative review

It was one of the better Chicago hotels.

All around average. Our room had some basic maintenance requirements, nothing major but just tired and not maintained well. Example - bathroom door lock. The bedding and pillows were old and tired. The mattress was a bit saggy in the middle. The main issue though was the lack of servicing the room - we were of the understanding that the room would be serviced every other day, but ours was only done Once in 9 days. We had to go to reception to get toilet paper multiple times due to this lack of room servicing. We mentioned this twice to guest services and nothing was done to remedy, all we were told was that it would be fed back to housekeeping.

Check in staff was very friendly. However, the room was not clean. There was hair in the shower, and Kleenex still under the bathroom counter top.

It is a clean hotel with visible relative new infrastructure. Room is spacious. I didn't like that doors are too heavy and you could hear now and then guests slamming the doors. Not good. The sheets are not cotton so be prepared to see some sort of attached fluffs on them. They're clean but those things give a certain worry. Location is excellent. There are many options around to eatx coffee, drinks, and even grocery shopping. Forget about breakfast option. Do not take it if you have the option. It is ok for one or two days but more than that... horrible. All is the same. If there were at least good coffee, then it'd make a difference. Sometimes there is no even hot water. If you are a business person, traveling for a task, it is a good hotel. If your family is with small kids...not a good idea. The concierge system to get in is kind of different from the norm so it doesn't make the hotel "cozy" so to speak. Staff is courteous though and ready to help, specially at the front desk. All in all, I rate the hotel with a hard 3.9 stars

The rooms are small but very charming and equipped with a kitchenette and a sofa/bed. If you are a mother or you are spending more than 2 days, this is super valuable, the price is affordable, the breakfast was good, value for money, I will return.

This hotel is very conveniently located in downtown chicago, adjacent to the Magnificent mile, and in the heart of many restaurants, places to shop, and public transportation. My one complaint with the hotel was I did not have hot water for showers the entire weekend. I informed them the first day that the water in my room was not getting any warmer than lukewarm and the only response I got was to try to take a shower at a different time of day. I informed them again the next day that the shower did not get very warm and was asked did I want to take a scalding hot shower? I found the response to this issue very dismissive, and it did put a damper on my weekend, not being able to take a decent shower for 3 days.

Very clean, easy check in. I wish they had valet parking but the street parking wasn’t toooo bad, just pricey.

Great stay. My friends and I stayed for 4 nights and had no problems at all. The hotel is in a great location, with restaurants and grocery stores nearby. We had no problems with the water temperature. Staff is very friendly. Housekeeping has to be requested.

Leaking and smelling of smoking. No hot water for shower as well poor breakfast options. Overall the worse experience.
