Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown South Loop Reviews

We attended a concert at Soldier Field, and picked this hotel due to location. The hotel was clean, the staff was so friendly the entire time. Loved the pool/hot tub and outside seating area. Hotel is located in downtown by all kinds of restaurants and other fun things! We were able to walk just about everywhere.

Great location right on Lake Michigan. You can cook your own meals in the room, and there are convenient supermarkets nearby. The night view is beautiful, highly recommended

It’s just a very standard Samsung hotel with basic configuration. Before I checked in, I didn’t expect it to be the lowest-equipped Hilton I’ve ever stayed in the world. I have to bring everything except the daily coffee machine, shower triangle set and hairdryer. It’s a bit like a family. The hotel has a stove, an empty refrigerator, and a lot of tableware, no baths~ It’s quite comfortable for two days for business travel The breakfast is very average, probably because the epidemic food is very average and it is not allowed to eat dine-in tableware. It is also a one-time take away. The location is good. Because it is very familiar here, there are no worry about eating in the surrounding supermarkets. There is a Starbucks, and there is an Asian restaurant on both sides of the house. Both are small plates. (My boyfriend and I have discussed for a long time and I don’t know how to translate). There is also a milk tea shop when I go out, but I didn’t try it because I don’t like sweets. I live on the 17th floor, which is relatively east. Half of the window can see the lake view. Although the location of the hotel is not particularly good, the view is still quite beautiful Since I prefer to stay in a better hotel, if I don’t consider the location, I would not book it again~

It reeked of **** on our floor, to the point where all our suitcase clothes smelled like it a day or two later. My wife got a headache from how bad it was. Plus there were fights or something going on our floor and nothing was done to quiet anyone down. The hotel itself seems nice and generally clean. We had issues with our reservation and they weren’t the most customer service friendly with that. Seems like it could be a nice hotel but they need to get things under control.

It was fairly busy because of Spring Break, but the staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of and things flowed smoothly. The kids wished that there was a waffle maker, but if that is the only “complaint” then I think that’s pretty good!

Price was great, view was stunning but we just got lucky to get a lake view. Breakfast was AWFUL. It’s all warmed up Sysco junk. They don’t cook anything. The pool was really small for the number people staying there. The employees are not very friendly or attentive we asked for a couple blankets and they never came the evening we asked had to ask again in the morning. But it’s really close to all the cool Chicago museums, a block from the Roosevelt el, and a great overall value. We’d stay again. Be aware that if you book through a third party they will hold two charges on your credit card at $75 a night plus tax for incidentals. A little outrageous.

Everything is in walkable distance. Great area for families want to use public transportation. Breakfast buffet was great. They allowed us early check in as we were traveling with kid.

The location is perfect for visiting the aquarium and museums. The hotel had all the amenities for a comfortable stay, and the room was very clean and spacious with a nice city view at night. We will definitely stay here again!
