I stayed at The Robey 2 nights, and I held a 1.5-day meeting in the boardroom. Everyone who attended was happy with the venue. PROS - Ellie, my Sales contact, was always helpful and responsive - The boardroom is reasonably priced, and much more conducive small meetings than your typical meeting room. Intimate - The boardroom pricing was reasonable, and there was no food and beverage minimum. There's a built-in screen for projection, and natural light in the room - It's located in Wicker Park, an upscale neighborhood, which is much more convenient than being downtown, and dealing with the traffic in and out of it. There are plenty of outdoor restaurants within walking distance, and nice houses to check out - The hotel is a 3-minute walk from the Blue Line (which goes to O'Hare) - The restaurant food is better-than-average. (I recommend the avocado toast and the beet salad) - Interesting architectural details throughout the property - Rooftop deck with amazing views - Strong WiFi - Small and personal property CONS - No blankets on the bed (I don't understand this hospitality trend) - Small rooms (tabletop ironing board is all that fits) - Mandatory resort fee for benefits you'll never use
