The room is large, one bed in the twin room is double bed size. Heating and air-conditioning will make people noisy, and they will wake up in the middle of the night. It can only be turned on for a while and then turned off before going to bed. The smoke alarm rang in the middle of the night. It turned out to be dead. Come at three o'clock in the middle to change the battery. The card was once degaussed, and I changed it. The heating system is so loud that will wake you in midnight. The fire alarm may ring in midnight just because it runs out of battery. Everything was nice at the hotel: our room was upgraded to a more spacious one with two beds, the location is second to none - right in the center of it all, it is very quiet, which is a big plus. The only thing that the hotel is dated… they really need to renovate bathrooms and buy new thicker towels. Replacing scratched furniture will also help their image. Our $25 per day food and drink credit was pretty handy for our late lunch. I had Cobb salad (no bacon) and my husband had delicious grilled chicken wrap with aioli sauce, greens and French fries. On another day we tried their desserts. I had mouthwatering cheesecake with berries and my husband had cinnamon cobbler with cherries and peaches. His desert was humongous, so he finished it in the morning for breakfast. I couldn’t resist and finished my cheesecake on the spot… Service is excellent - very welcoming and the bartender is absolutely fantastic. And I can’t think of a better location - right in the heart of beautiful Chicago Downtown. We will be back in April.

Swissotel is awesome! The service was great and friendly staff. I especially appreciated Kia that works at the hotel. I was celebrating my birthday and she had something special sent to my room (a card and a fruit tray). She made my day - Thank you Kia! I would most definitely recommend this hotel! The amenities are amazing and the view is the best! I saw reviews stating there are no robes and no one came to clean and I can definitely disagree. There was a robe in the front closet and not only did someone come to clean but they provided us with warm towels! Best service and friendly staff!

Checking in at the Congress Plaza was so straight forward. I was upgraded without asking to a King size bed with a lake view. The room was perfect. Fridge, safe, TV , Coffee and water.

We stayed for a night, upgraded to a lakefront room. Great location, great rooms. The only issue I had was the AC was not working that well. We didn’t even use the sheets or our blanket we got so hot. Also the bar is a little over expensive. Other then that great stay! I’d stay again but bring a fan and our own bottle next time :)

It’s a nice hotel. The room was very clean. Check-in was no problem. Very nice to us. It was just the parking was a block and a half away. But we did find a parking spot on the street on the opposite side of the block. You can drop your stuff off in front of the hotel and check in before you go find your parking. Lots of places to go eat in the area. I’m not sure but I think this is part of Chinatown. If not it’s right next to it . We definitely stay again.

I visited the Warwick Allerton with a group of friends over a three night stay. The hotel is older, in the midst of a remodel. Our room was fine, appeared to be remodeled. It was clean, comfortable bed and furniture. Housekeeping had to be scheduled and we ran out of toilet paper before the scheduled service. Additionally our wifi was continually disconnecting. Alicia from the front desk offered to come up to our room, reset our wifi and delivered 2 rolls of toilet paper. She arrived within minutes of me talking to her. She was friendly and very helpful. The hotel charges a $15.00 daily service fee. The restaurant was closed for remodeling and there was no food on the premises. There may have been a gym, which we did not use. I fail to see the benefits of the facility fee and would rather just have the room charge be higher if the hotel needs to make a higher profit on the rooms. The hotel is in a good location for shopping and restaurants. The valet service was also efficient.
