The Indian man is rude and could run across the wrong person. I did not book a stay here. The location looks like a trash storage area on the side. From the outside looking in this location is a complete mess.. Starting with the Indian man. The Indian didn’t know if I had a reservation or not. First encounter this unruly specimen asked me to leave the property. I did not cause any chaos or made any noise. I parked on the side on the building to take my medications. I was not there more than 15 mins before his rude thick accent approached my vehicle. I do not look like a transient or derelict by any means. He will run people off with the rude demeanor. For all he knew I could have been dying or in need of assistance or booking a room at this trifling ass place.

This hotel has a cockroach infestation!!! Additionally the sheets had brown crust stains and looked as if they were never cleaned. Lastly the room smelled awful, some of the lights didn’t work, and the toilet had poop stains. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

This is a pretty typical Quality Inn. We had a king bed which was a large room. Fridge (with freezer section) and microwave. There is nothing around the hotel. If you need any food or shopping do it on your way in. We were coming from Benton Harbour area so stopped at Walmart (20 minutes away) before going to the hotel. We selected Sawyer because of price and we’re headed on to Ohio the next day. The breakfast was decent with a few options. The room was a good size.

Absolutely the most dirtiest stinkiest place I’ve ever been I was killing bugs all night, and an Indian guy was talking on the phone until 3 AM and they did not do anything about it. I even had to call police and finally when they see that this police is coming they told the Indian guy to stop talking on the phone. Apparently he was the relative of the owner so they’re afraid to talk to him.

Location is next to expressway, so it is convenient for travelers who need a place to rest. I had a quick stay, the hotel is very basic, front desk staff is friendly. Rooms are in good shape, spacious, clean, bed is comfortable. Bathroom is acceptable, sink in room. Breakfast is basic. Mini fridge and microwave in room. Plenty of parking. AC worked fine. Overall a good midmarket basic hotel, clean, safe and comfortable, décor is a bit bland and dated, but I will return if I can get once more the very affordable rate I was able to pay.

Thai hotel was surprisingly quiet and recently updated. Breakfast was also enjoyable. We stayed on the way to Champaign but I would not hesitate to stay while enjoying the village of Sawyer. A true gem. No expressway noise in the hotel. There was a grill and outdoor patio off the pool.

We had an issue with check in. They had entered my name wrong into their system and argued with me that I didn’t have a reservation for 30 minutes. Had to get orbitz on the phone to explain to them. Had to exchange blanket as it had blood or some other stain on it. Friends car got hit outside in the parking lot and they told her they’d send security footage but never did. The hotel itself is a 3/5* breakfast is mediocre, area doesn’t have much around it besides the lake.
