**Hotel Review: Mayura Pinetop Hotel, Nandi Hills** Mayura Pinetop Hotel boasts a fantastic location with stunning views, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The service here is virtually non-existent, making it difficult to address any concerns or needs during the stay. Additionally, the property is plagued by a monkey menace, which is both alarming and disruptive. The cottages are unhygienic and located far from the restaurant, adding inconvenience to an already disappointing experience. If you plan to stay here, be prepared to bring your own food and toiletries, as the amenities provided are insufficient. Moreover, this hotel is not baby-friendly or senior citizen-friendly, which is something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with family. Overall, while the location and view are commendable, the lack of service and poor maintenance make it hard to recommend this property.

I was nearly put off visiting the Nandi Hills due to all the poor reviews of Mayura Pine Hotel. I am really glad that I chose to ignore them. Sure the food could be better and yes, there are a lot of steps to reach some of the rooms, but the overall experience is actually very good. I struggle with steps, but these are not big steps and if you take your time they are OK. The rooms are quite large and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is supposed to start at 7 am, but if you arrive at 7.30 am there is a better choice. The masala dosa was very good. In the evening the restaurant / bar doesn't open until 7.30 pm which is a shame as it would do more business if open at say 6 pm. The hills themselves are wonderful. If you walk downhill to the main car park area you can travel back on one of the regular mini-buses that go up and down the only road.

No room service available and the Hill view cottages were at remote location so getting dinner at restaurant at Top of hill is next to impossible due to darkness and distance. The hotel administration must issue advisory to its guest to bring the dinner from their home

Scenic view, we got rooms on the 1st floor (room #9 and 10) so needed to climb a lot of stairs. Checkin needs to be done before 6pm. Reception is far away from the the stay (Gandhi Nilaya) Make sure you carry valid photo id proof of _all_ the adults traveling else it can create issues during checkin. The restaurant which is some distance from the stay often accepts only Cash / UPI but no card as their POS machine doesnt work. The geyser in our room didnt supply hot water. Carry drinking water with you else you can buy glass bisleri bottles from the restaurant at Rs 100 each. Also suggest to carry munchies like biscuits , chips and fruits as the room service can only provide tea (no biscuits) and expect any service to take about 45 mins. Or you can carry a kettle + milk sachets + tea bags and you are fully self-sufficient. Also nice to carry binoculars to get a great view from the balcony. In room toiletries are provided but make sure you carry your own room slippers. We were also told to keep the balcony and main door closed in the mornings due to a lot of monkeys which we did encounter the following day. Network signal is flaky. Works if you are on Airtel.

This in the only accommodation available in this spot and has monopoly. No doubt the location is unique and beautiful and is nearest hill station to Bangalore city. The rooms are maintained well and most of them are in heritage buildings. Restaurant timings are limited. There is no room service. Limited food options. Approach to the rooms is no suitable for elderly and handicapped persons.

The rooms were extremely clean, basic amenities which were promised were available. The ambience was amazing. It appeared to be a secluded gateway away from the weekend hustle bustle of Nandi hills. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. They were available every time we called them. We had some constraints in terms of movement. My daughter is a special child. They ensured everything we need, including food reached us. The person who attended us Krishna was extremely helpful. The view from the room was beyond words.

We have had pleasant experiences in the recent past when we stayed at Mayura Riverview, Srirangapatnam and Mayura Bharachukki, therefore, when we decided to spend a night at Nandi Hills, KSTDC Matura Pinetop was the obvious choice. The location of Mayura Pinetop is excellent just like the other KSTDC Mayura hotels, but that is all you should expect from this property. We had booked two Deluxe rooms on the first floor in Gandhi Nilaya Block as many reviewers had suggested that the view and facilities in the rooms of this block were better than that of the Nehru Nilaya block. We reached Nandi Hills at around 2 p.m. and had already informed the staff about our arrival time earlier in the day. Firstly, it took us quite some time to figure out that the KSTDC office (where we have to check in). It is neither in Gandhi Nilaya nor in Nehru Nilaya; in fact, the nondescript office is located near the Mayura restaurant on the hilltop. After completing the check-in formalities, we were asked to contact someone in Gandhi Nilaya to help us move to our rooms, who informed us that none of the rooms were ready by then. The rooms were finally handed over to us at 3.30 p.m. and we were shocked to see how dirty they were. The staff had not even cared to change the bedsheets in them and only after repeated complaints, they finally gave us clean bedsheets at 10 p.m. The washrooms too were unclean. Because of the monkey menace, we were unable to access the balcony (from which the view was breathtaking) most of the time. Also, faeces of monkeys could be seen all over the chairs and the railings in the balcony, which was quite disgusting. The mattress in one of the rooms had sagged and was in a pretty bad shape. The was NO room service whatsoever. Also, we had to keep running to the restaurant on the hilltop to get water and snacks. For dinner, the only option available was the Mayura restaurant. Alike any other KSTDC restaurant, it neither had many options nor taste or quality. Also, it wasn’t very hygienic with flies everywhere. The path from Gandhi Nilaya to the restaurant is not well lit at night. They should illuminate the place well as it can be dangerous to walk in the dark. We left Nandi hills shortly after sunrise and thought it wise to skip breakfast at the KSTDC restaurant. Mayura Pinetop is a KSTDC premium hotel but as pointed out earlier, except for the location, it is not worth the tariff charged. The other KSTDC properties, even the KSTDC budget hotels, were far cleaner and more comfortable than this “premium hotel.” Thumbs down to Mayura Pinetop…..extremely disappointing stay.

We stayed in Gandhi Nilaya (New Block) during the weekend and it was a great experience. The room was quite spacious and had a private balcony to enjoy excellent views. There is a restaurant a few meters away from the hotel which serves good food. The hotel staff was supportive and helpful. As it was not allowed for outside visitors to come to Nandi hills during the weekend, we enjoyed peaceful time in the serene environment of the hills.

Stay and you would know the secret of Nandi Hills. Loved the weather, vibe, service at hotel and the location near by Sunset point and equally sunrise point. Walk in the nandi hills hotel restaurant area with hot tea, clouds and dew drops is amazing
