Super 8 by Wyndham Childress

The rooms were very clean. Outside not so much. Shower had weak pressure but stayed hot. Pool was closed. Breakfast was warm but no waffles.

I haven’t stayed at a super 8 in over 20 years and was pleasantly surprised. It had nice decor, a phone charger outlet that was easy to access, nice Dove mini bar soap, fridge, lots of lights easy to reach. You can tell they put some thought into into it when they renovated We stayed in #211. Only suggestion would be to update towels and I learned in the middle of the night that using the fan on all the time helps negate the occasional road & train noise plus the little clicking noises of the AC & fridge.

It took 20 minutes just to get warm water and you allow people to play loud music in their cars in the parking lot

Rooms were clean, everything worked, breakfast had a good variety (The Texas shaped waffles were a pretty cool touch!) and the staff was super friendly. You can tell the owners work hard and have pride in their property. The pool was a good temperature and the hot tub, while small, fit 4 people comfortably and was clean, clean! Would recommend this property to anyone wanting a clean, friendly property at a good value.

Very good stay, was here visiting family, had no issues at the property, will stay at this property any time, the breakfast was good and offered a variety of different items to choose from, also pool and hot tub was wonderful

Rooms appeared to be dirty. Sink and shower/tub were mostly clogged. Pet friendly yes. Management charged an extra $25.00 dollar fee per pet for two small pugs. Very little if any area for pets to go potty. Had to got outside to get ice or breakfast. Would not recommend Super 8 to anyone and I will never stay there again!!!

This is the 3rd Super 8 we have stayed in on our cross-country trip. We were charged $75 to have our dogs (one large, one medium, one very small), where every other location has charged $15 per dog. We requested a queen room, and when we walked in, it was filthy. The linens had been replaced (I hope), but there was stuff on the coverlet, someone’s hair on the sink, debris on the sink, and the floor clearly had not been vacuumed. I called the front desk who said she could give me a king room “but it will be an upgrade” (which means more $$). We paid $190 for one night already by that point, so I argued the fact that it’s an upgrade charge. The clerk said she would have to call her boss, and arrived 5 or so minutes later with one key (there are 2 of us) to a different room. She told us there were no downstairs rooms left, so we carried 3 dogs, their kennels, our luggage up 1.5-2 flights of stairs. The second room was cleaner, but had burn marks on the carpet. Completely awful. Super 8 advertises pet friendly, but they price gouge you.
