Waterside Inn

It was a ho hum place in a very beautiful location.

Lovely sunsets from the balcony. Breakfast was delicious! Staff were quite accommodating and pleasant.

The hotel is very old, and while it has that old-time motel charm, there have been updates that make it a fine place to stay if you get it on the cheap. We paid 70 bucks a night. That made it worth it. The biggest issue I had was the uncomfortable beds. The pillows were cheap and worn rock-hard, the mattresses were about the same. It's also noisy because the floors squeak like crazy. If you need a quick budget place this will do. But I wouldn't spend a lot to stay here.

So this hotel has a sign in the room that can go on the door that says service please. We had it out all day and didn't get maid service and went to the front desk to at least ask for a clean washcloths and towels. The person at the front desk tells us we have to walk back to our room to get all our dirty stuff for the privilege of clean washclothes and towels. What service...

Pros: 1. The dock and pool seem to be in good shape. 2. Breakfast includes waffles made to order. 3. The bay view from our balcony was lovely and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. 4. Vanity with sink and mirror separate from the toilet/shower. Cons: 1. The rooms appear run down, particularly the bathroom. 2. Our mini fridge door wouldn’t close because the freezer needed to be defrosted. I was given a couple of towels and advised to unplug it over night instead of a working fridge being swapped in because there wasn’t staff available to help until the next day. The next morning, a staff member opened our door without knocking first to check on the fridge. I appreciate the follow-up, but please knock before entering. 3. We could hear EVERYTHING going on in the room above us. Every step, conversation, snore and squeak of the bed….If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. 4. The curtains aren’t large enough to cover the entire sliding glass door to the balcony, allowing the morning sun to shine right in your eyes and prevent full privacy at night. 5. We came in the off season and it was chilly. We chose this hotel because it has an indoor hot tub. Unfortunately, it was out of order for our entire stay.

We loved the room because it had a water overview. The elevator was a great plus to the facility. We will be going back next time we are in the area. Thank you for a great place
