We had booked our room well in advance and even called ahead to confirm our arrival time, yet we were made to wait over an hour upon arrival. The hotel claimed the room was still being cleaned and that the floors needed to dry for a "better experience." They kept telling us it would be “just five more minutes” — a line we heard repeatedly every 10 minutes.
When the room was supposedly ready, there was no one to assist us with our luggage. We had to ask for help — not what you expect from a hotel claiming 4-star status. To make matters worse, when we finally got to the room, cleaning was still going on, and we had to wait outside yet again. Even after all that, the room was far from clean.
Room service was equally disappointing. Overall, the experience was frustrating and unprofessional. This hotel shows absolutely no standard of service expected from a 4-star establishment. Hugely disappointing. We had made the booking quite in advance and also called them the day of the arrival to let them of the time we’d reach there, but still we had to wait more an hour for a room. They said cleaning was going on hence the delay, and then finally when they said the room was ready and we went to the room, it was still getting cleaned and the room was still far from clean. The room service was terrible, the food wasn’t good. They served cold tea. The pool area was out of towels most of the time and there were no staffs to supervise that. It was a terrible experience.
