Amazing experience. Although they have 2 different locations, this is by far the most convenient and the one with the best atmosphere if you want to make new friends. People play board games or card games most nights, there are lots of chats and deep bonds formed. The staff are amazing and there is also really great lunch and dinner provided each day. I had a blasting time and would recommend it to anyone in chongqing, travel or not. Now get out there and make some friends and have some fun.

The location is perfect. Just outside the metro line 6 and line 1, these two lines connect to almost everything there is to see in Chongqing, the rest is all at a walkable distance from the hostel. The entrance is in a parking lot between multiple banks. And you have to take an elevator to floor 9. There is a large terrace with magnificent views. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds also have their own light and a curtain for privacy. A great option for travelers.

Very convenient location with the "touristy" places being within walking distance. It's located at the 9th floor of the 'New Chongqing Apartment (新重庆公寓)' next to the ICBC bank. If you're a foreign tourist, it's easier to find it through its Chinese/Pin Yin name using GPS (Chi Shan / 吃山). Was also very close to Hong Ya Dong, Liberation Monuments, etc. The only scary thing would be the ground floor of the building because the lobby is kind of worn out but once you reach the 9th floor where Yummyhill/Chishan is located, it's alright. There were 4 really cute and affectionate cats which we loved a lot (especially the white one!! but the tabby one was also really cute). The staff were all friendly and courteous which we really appreciated. On the 9th floor, there is also a rooftop garden that was nice to explore. Room was decently clean and all the necessary amenities provided were sufficient. There is also a common area where you can eat & meet other people! The only downside was that the dryer didn't really work effectively because our clothes were still kind of moist after drying it at top heat for 40 minutes. However this is not too big of an issue & we'd love to come back and stay here again when we come back to Chongqing some day. Thank you!

Nice hostel, with a central location, so it's convenient when visiting Chongqing. The bed was actually comfortable too. Overall the hostel was clean. Also the cats living there are really cute. I probably would come here again if i come back to Chongqing.

I had a great stay at Yummyhill. The girl that did my check-in spoke English and they provided me with an English document with recommendations for transport, sights and restaurants. The room was quite spacious and had it’s own toilet and shower, which was convenient. There is also the possibility to do laundry. It was a bit difficult to find at first, you need to go into a building and to the right for the elevator to the 9th floor. But once found, it’s a very good spot with the subway in front of the door and many restaurants and shops nearby. I would definitely recommend people to stay here!

honestly the best place to come when youre in chongqing the staff are young and lively, there is an in house chef that holds communal lunches and dinners for only 30+ rmb there are 6 adorable cats for you to play with, and a well equipped main room where you dine, drink, play board/card games as well as simply chatting the location is also prime for transport, where there is a metro station just downstairs that connects to most of the tourist sights, and there is also a garden outside with amazing views of the surrounding buildings that light up the night this is the first hostel i wished i could stay a lot longer for, and not just a place to sleep came here solo, left with many memories and friends! 我在重庆的吃山文化青年旅店等你!

THIS IS THE BEST YOUTH HOSTEL SO FAR FOR ME. I am a foreigner that can speak basic Chinese but the receptionist are lively to welcome me and introduce the environment. The facilities are great and luckily I’ve met a great set of roommates that they’ve brought me outside for lunch, dinner and even tour. We also did a lot of card games during night time plus the beer event starting from 9:30PM is also great. The environment is very alive and the cats are very cute!! I booked three hotels in Chongqing and this is the best among those three!.

Very nice hostel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They found ways to communicate with us in English. Definitely recommend. The rooms are also not like rooms for a hostel. They are very clean and comfortable.

Excellent service. Staff were very helpful, and the bed was clean. Central location and great price, would recommend.

This hostel has free group meals but you have to be very fast to get them. The dorms and public areas were well taken care of and used by guests, the cats were a great addition too. You can’t ask for a much better location in the city.

Best hostel ever for a nice stay in the city center. Close to everything and good bed to sleep in. Very clean and possible to wash and dry clothes

The position is perfect, right in the vibrant center. You can reach Hongyadong in two minutes walking. The rooms are nice and clean. Definitely worth the stay and the price.
