Chongqing Huafang Hotel Reviews

The hotel is tucked away in a quiet corner or the ancient town yet it's just a stone's throw away from the most exciting streets in ciqikou. The only bummer is that the night can get rather warm and there is no air conditioning in the room during the period that I booked. The hotel crew was however very helpful in offering alternatives and the overall stay was still a very pleasant one.

Great hotel in great location ran by competent staff. Xiaotan, Xiaoxu, and Xiaozhong were excellent.

Fantastic. We had a queen room with a terrace overlooking a branch-off street of the main walking street. Not the main thoroughfare, but still had regular foot traffic during 2023 Mid Autumn Festival. The room's balcony had a great view of the street and the Ciqikou cityscape behind it. Appreciated the detail of the old-style constructed buildings and architecture of the area. Food galore, there was no end to the variety of food, snacks, restaurants and tea shops all within walking distance. From the Ciqikou subway, it takes about 12 minutes of walking to make one's way up to the hotel however there is a very convenient escalator taking one up the part with the longest steepest incline. At night it was quiet and the beds extremely comfortable. The bathroom had a big deep bath, perfect for soaking in after a long day of pounding the pavements. The decor and lighting were simple, stylish and understated, the cleanliness was perfect, the staff friendly and helpful, and the outdoor infinity pool perfect for sun lounging (when there is sun). Great view down from the hill/mountainside from the pool side. The breakfast buffet is very satisfying and affordable with local Chinese fare, and some Western options too. Sail Hotel is charming and well laid out, allowing the place to be fully booked and yet not feel crowded. It's a hidden treasure and should we be in the vicinity in the future, we'd definitely stay here again.

Great place ! It's an escape in Chongqing, just situated in the old city. Green around , the facilities are really clean , the courtyard is quite and nice . Lights are awesome. Plenty to discover around

Good service, great location , great pool - especially great for pictures . If you look closely, you’ll see that the pool floor on the deeper part is very yellow and kinda nasty if you step on it, also there’s absolutely no service near the pool area. Perhaps because there are very few guests they decide not to bother much . A little sad , but we still had a lot of fun there especially in the morning when we could have all the pool to ourselves. Room was ok - it had a bathtub even though we booked the cheapest one. They used to have a breakfast buffet which was suspended due to pandemic, they have “western” and Chinese sets to choose now, and I’d strongly recommend Chinese. Restaurant has a very nice manager that speaks English and she was eager to help.

Fantastic hotel with really friendly staff! Always ready to help and added us on wechat so there were no translation issues. The pool is incredible and the rooms are beautiful. Lovely location in Ciqikou - a little bit of a trek to get into downtown but we didn’t mind because the metro station was so close. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chongqing!

The infinity pool overlooks Ciqikou. The hotel service is super good. Because it was my birthday, the room was decorated for me. It was too late that day and the hotel didn't prepare a cake, so it was delivered to me the next day. When I checked out, the staff helped me with my luggage. The staff were super nice and would take the initiative to show me the way and help me press the elevator. The hotel environment is great, quiet in a bustling city, and you can sleep until you wake up naturally. There is also floating afternoon tea and afternoon tea in the lobby. The breakfast is not rich, but there are freshly made Chongqing noodles and rice noodles. There is tea and drip coffee in the room, and the facilities are very new! I want to come again next time, hahaha. The only shortcoming is that it rained that day and there were fallen leaves in the swimming pool. I hope it can be improved.

It was my first time staying at the hotel. My first impression of the hotel was amazing. It has a great sense of design. It is located in the back street of Ciqikou. The hotel room feels clean. Zhong Zhong and Xiao Ma at the front desk are very enthusiastic and have a good service attitude. It is very heartwarming. I will definitely stay here again next time I go to Chongqing.

I like this hotel from the bottom of my heart. We decided that when we come to Chongqing for business in the future, we will stay in the city. Huafang is our home. The hotel looks very beautiful and retro. The floors are staggered. The environment on the fifth floor is quiet and comfortable. The infinity pool is clean and novel in design. Looking through the pool, you can see the distant Gele Mountain, which is covered with fog and has a beautiful view. The facilities in the room are high-end and the hygiene is good. Sitting on the small balcony, drinking tea, wine, and coffee, and listening to the beautiful piano music on the old street of Ciqikou is really a joy in the world. It seems that it is not a business trip but a vacation. The staff are very polite and enthusiastic. They are indeed hospitable Chongqing people. We will definitely come again in the future, bring friends and family. I love Huafang. Thank you.

Living in the suite, I felt very comfortable, with an excellent location, patient and thoughtful service, and beautiful scenery. I will stay here again next time I come to Chongqing. Xiaoma and Zhongzhong are particularly good, and you can often eat beancurd at the front desk!
