The hotel is near the entrance and exit of the subway line, the traffic is very convenient, there are many snacks around, the hotel's facilities are well-equipped, and the service is good.
Looking at the previous reviews, some guests have feedback on the further study of the light rail line. The further study of the light rail line by our two rooms is basically acceptable. The light rail runs from 6am to 11pm, and in this time period, any big city, the noise on the road is similar. After 11pm, we slept very well and quiet until 7am.

The room was very big, and there was a washing machine and a refrigerator. Although they were not used, they were well equipped. I stayed for two nights and didn't ask for cleaning the next day. The cleaners helped with the cleaning.

The room is not big and the place is easy to find. Because I was going for an exam, I contacted the hotel two or three days in advance, hoping to get a quieter room. The front desk of the hotel said that they could give a good review and upgrade to the 16th floor, but they didn’t. No matter what, I didn’t even bring earplugs. When I checked in that day, I was told that the room was full and I couldn’t upgrade (I was very annoyed that I couldn’t do it despite my promise). But I had an exam the next day and it was troublesome to book a hotel at last minute, so I checked in. During the day, there is a lot of traffic, but at night the sound of the KTV is clearly visible. The air conditioner and toilet exhaust fan are very loud. In summary, it is quite noisy. If you have poor sleep quality, it is not recommended to stay. If you have good sleep quality, it will not affect your stay. The breakfast was okay, the time span was long, and the taste was normal. Except for being noisy and the room being small, it has other normal hotel configurations!

The newly renovated hotel is comfortable to stay in. The facilities and equipment are very new. The rooms are smart and the hair dryer is from Dyson. The hotel has an underground parking garage where you can park for free. Our room has an outdoor terrace. You can sit here and see the river view at night. The night view of Chongqing is indeed beautiful. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry areas. The bed is very soft and comfortable to sleep in. Our 2 duplex suites are located on the 35&36 floor respectively with a great panorama view of the rivers. There's a great food court and the #5 line metro station located in the basement- making the hotel easy to reach and excellent for any kind of travelers. Hotel is walking distance to the Jiefangbei Square, the Raffles Square; and close to many local attractions and restaurants. The suites are clean and well appointed; one even included a treadmill and an exercise bike. We highly recommend the hotel for family and business travelers. We will definitely stay here again for our future Chongqing visits 👍👍👍👍👍

Very close to the city and the airport, Pucun made me feel why Chongqing is called a mountain city. It is really a good place to relax after the hustle and bustle! It was such a surprise. Although it was only two days and one night, the boss's design aesthetic and the B&B experience on the terraced slopes allowed us to experience many different beautiful scenery. The room is simple and has good facilities and equipment. The Dyson hair dryer is very comfortable. I like it very much. It is warm and high-end! Experience the chirping of the robin during the day, and fall asleep to the sound of frogs at night, as well as the bamboo forest among the pines. It just happened to rain in Chongqing. The clouds and mist in the mountains in the morning and the new rain in the empty mountains were very healing. Chongqing is really charming! Chongqing has 3D and is also a mountain city! The ingredients picked in Pucun are hard to come by. The plums just came out recently, so sweet! The butler was attentive and accompanying me throughout the whole process, very considerate! I like Pucun very much and will come to Pucun next time!

GGuest UserJust finished a five night stay at The Regent Chongqing, was one of the best hotel experiences ever.
Arrived at the start of the national three day Duanwu Dragon Boat Festival and was warmly greeted with two tasty green bean cake pastries in a traditional wood basket as a welcome amenity in the room.
Breakfast has an abundance of options, everything fresh and delicious.
Ate at the third floor Chinese restaurant twice and the dishes there are truly outstanding, some of the best tasting dishes I’ve ever tasted in Sichuan province and also rated as the second best restaurant in Chongqing on this website. Compared to some of the top tier restaurants in cities like Beijing and Shanghai, also very reasonably priced and affordable.
What’s really nice is the hotel offers complimentary laundry service for up to three pieces per day which I thought was a very thoughtful service. Mini bar in hotel room also completely free and restocked daily. Water pressure in room’s shower was also very strong which made showering very enjoyable.
Hospitality is really on another level here. During the stay I experienced:
- A small soft cloth wipe was left next to my laptop since the staff noticed my laptop screen was a bit dirty
- Staff during breakfast would go out of there way to ask if I wanted or needed assistance in preparing a bowl of noodles, per my request they kindly prepared one for me with the most popular condiments used by locals
- One of the chefs during breakfast made it known if there was anything at all I wanted him to specially prepare for me he would gladly do it
- Same chef (Mr. Swong), when he found out I would be departing for a day trip the next morning from the hotel at a very early hour (earlier than when the hotel breakfast dining would be open) made it be known that he would make arrangements for the hotel to prepare a bag of anything I wanted from the breakfast buffet to take with me so I could eat it in the car. Sure enough, the next morning at the front desk reception there was a bag waiting for me containing various fresh fruit, a hard boiled egg, sticky rice, orange juice, banana, water, utensils. When I walked outside to the car that had arrived to pick me up, both the driver and tour guide remarked they had never seen a hotel ever do this for a guest and that this must be a really exceptional hotel.
- A complimentary bowl of fresh fruit was delivered and left in my room
- Upon check-out, received an immaculately wrapped gift box of Chongqing Small Noodles (dried, uncooked) which was accompanied by a specially prepared locally made peppercorn noodle sauce (wrapped in plastic), was actually the perfect gift since my Mom loves noodles and to see her face so happy and joyful upon receiving this gift brought me much happiness
Everywhere in the hotel, from the hotel front desk staff, the bellboys and staff working outside the front door, the staff at the 7th floor bar, the staff at the breakfast dining, to the staff on the 3rd floor Chinese restaurant, was treated so warmly and courteously and staff so helpful and thoughtful too.
Victoria was especially gracious and helpful as when I arrived, I didn’t know where to eat and after asking me a few questions with regards to my tastes and kind of ambiance I would like in a restaurant, she recommended a very popular local Chongqing Hot Pot restaurant just a few minutes away. This turned out to be great recommendation as the flavor of the hot pot was really great and the environment was more of a ‘hole in the wall’ place, very raucous and rowdy, just what I was looking for. She would also periodically check in to see if everything was going okay and if there was anything she could assist with. Will always be grateful to Victoria and the staff at Regent Chongqing for making my first trip to Chongqing so unforgettable and full of wonderful memories.

GGuest UserLocation was great. Right next to the metro station, although the entrance is a little hard to find the first time. Very close to a lot of the main attractions. I had a river view and it was great, but a weird choice - the large window is in the bathroom. You can barely see it from the room itself, but when you're on the toilet you're on full view to the world unless you close the curtains.
However, I was pretty disappointed by this hotel. From most of the other reviews, you get the impression this is newly renovated and very clean. It's not. There's black mould all around the sink and on the wallpaper behind the sink. There's orange mould in the shower, the grout work in the shower is badly cracked and missing in places, so who knows how much leaks to the floor below. There's weird stains on the curtains. As a guy with very short hair, travelling alone, when I find several long black hairs on the floor, I know they're not mine and the place wasn't cleaned properly. They charge 30元 to use slippers, so I decided to use my socks. Bad decision. Within a day, they were the dirtiest I've ever seen socks. The projector (right above the bed) has so much dust on it, it's obviously never been cleaned since it was installed. The place is well overdue a deep clean.
But that's not even the worst of it. Fundamentally, there is no sound proofing at all in this hotel. The room door allows quite a lot of light in from outside, so obviously it's not going to be very soundproof. But this was BY FAR the loudest hotel I've ever stayed in. People getting food deliveries at gone midnight the first night, the second night was relatively quiet. The third night, starting at midnight the couple next door were ”enjoying themselves” and you could hear everything. I presume so could reception, as there was loud music coming from that direction but I didn't go out to investigate. That stopped at 12:30, and a bit later so did the music, and then at 1am, that same guy started watching TV very loudly. At 1:20 I sent a message to the ”24-hour front desk” Wechat to complain. That didn't get answered until 8:30 the next day, when I got a terse message basically saying ”well done! you handled that well.” What I'd done was at 1:35 when reception still hadn't done anything, I knocked on the door and asked him to turn it down. The next night, he was at it again - TV until 2am, but a bit quieter this time, but there was still no sleep opportunity because the room next door was watching TV until 4am. And just to make sure you can't catch up sleep in the morning, the cleaning Ayi starts banging around at 9am. Remember, you can hear absolutely everything anyone is doing in this place. The wifi is right above the bed too, and has bright lights on all the time.
Oh, and facilities. I chose this hotel over others in Chongqing because it advertised guest laundry. I asked about that - she said it was on floor 31. Well the lift that services the hotel doesn't go to floor 31, so you have to go all the way down to ground floor and catch a different lift back up again. When I got there, it seemed to be a music recording studio or something, not a hotel, and they were very surprised a hotel was sending anyone there. When I explained some more, eventually he showed me to the room with a washing machine - but it was just that - a basic washing machine, with no drying facilities, no space to dry things, and seemingly they weren't really sure if I was allowed to use it, so in the end I didn't bother and had to re-use clothes for a second day during my stay in Chongqing.
As I said, the location is great, but there are several other hotels in this building, each having a floor. Personally, I'd try any of them before this one.

Hotel is convenient to many places with walking distance and daily amenities were changed . We love the washing machine and the style which feels like an apartment homely vibes. GGuest User10/10!! This hotel is located right at the heart of Jiefangbei, making it super convenient to access the various attractions/tourist spots (they’re all quite nearby via taxi). Lots of food just around the area and shopping too! The room itself is huge and the staff were so kind to give us a free upgrade. There’s so much space to open our luggage and lounge around. The toilet is also very clean and spacious. Not to mention the gorgeous view since the hotel is on the 46th floor - you can enjoy the beautiful night view of Chongqing from the room! Overall a very enjoyable stay! Highly recommend!!

Mrt station 临江门 is within walking distance (Line 2 - green color) - less than 5 mins walk.
Hotel provides daily meal coupons for redemption between 7am-8pm. Few varieties to choose (noodles either spicy or non spicy, wan ton, fried egg, mantou, soya beans drink, porridge). Of course water bottles, tea bags, toiletries are replenish daily.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Special appreciation to staff number 11 & number 3.
Small pack of snacks (麻花) given as souvenir.

GGuest UserTo be honest, the price of machine room 1288 is really a bit expensive, the hotel facilities are relatively old due to the long time of decoration. The hotel's meal price is not very friendly, and the first time I saw the hotel, I could not bring my own wine and takeaway. Eating is charged by the head, drinking tea is also, to be honest, in addition to the environment is good, other really... I like this hotel very much, I will choose to stay in the future.

SSarie BottWOWOWOWOOW location could not be better! Directly across from Raffles and the horizontal hotel towr on the waterfront. Bathtub room has an incredible view. Modern, industrial design. Massive bathtub. Soft mattress. Excellent service. My only notes would be to add some towel or robe hooks in the bathroom and to give a tag for the door if you want room service or ”do not disturb”. Highly recommend. I will stay here if I ever come to Chongqing again.

Location: I personally do not like staying in central commercial areas in whichever city I decide to travel to (due to the traffic and noise), however, I still prefer to be as close as possible so as to be able to and back from the city centre without having to spend too much time and energy which would ultimately turn my holiday into a task rather than a time of relaxation -and so the location of this commercial apartment was perfect for me; 12.8km to jiefangbei 解放碑步行街 (20-30 minutes in a taxi), people’s square 重庆人民广场 (20-30 minutes in a taxi), 9km to ciqikou ancient town 磁器口古镇 (15-25 minutes in a taxi), 14.2km from the graffiti street 重庆涂鸦一条街(30-40 minutes in a taxi), 6.3km from the ronghui hot springs 融汇温泉 (15-25 minutes in a taxi). The room was also perfect for any days I did not want to go out travelling as it is a quiet, green area which is nice for walks, and in addition to that there are so many supermarkets and restaurants downstairs with anything you’d want to eat from Chongqing, and with all the daily necessities you’d need.
Room and value for money: Excellent. The room isn’t exactly luxurious, but at roughly 140 yuan per night, you get more than what you pay for. Clean, tidy, washing machine, kettle, fridge, bath towels, TV, cupboard, wardrobe, table, chairs, balcony etc. everything you need. Hot water works fine albeit the water must run for a minute or so before the water gets hot.
Service: As soon as I booked the room, I contacted the owner and she then proceeded to add my WeChat - from there on she was very attentive and replied to any message I sent her within 10 minutes and even helped me out to get the Chongqing green code when I was on the train from Shanghai. She also offered to send a cleaner to my room any time I wish if I found that my room got too messy.
Summary: Extremely satisfied, and would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the main attractions in Chongqing without having to deal with the noise and traffic of the very centre of the city, and who would like the added convenience of being able to wash your own clothes without having to wait for a dry cleaner.
