I stayed in The Buffalo Lodge on my way from MT to CO. Anyone with allergies or asthma should NOT stay here. While quaint, this place has not been updated for at least 30 years. I arrived at 10:10p, picked up the phone in the “lobby” as instructed and let it ring for 3 mins. No one answered or came to check me in. I called the hotel phone number from my cell and still no answer. After 15 mins, a lady in her bathrobe showed up, was apologetic, and checked me in. Outdated decor doesn’t bother me, BUT the room was stuffy when I entered, the AC unit was filthy, filled with dust and insects & did not blow out cool air. I was hot all night. The room was very dusty; microwave had not been cleaned; bed had cheap, polyester sheets and bedding with an uncomfortable mattress; bathroom had chipped vinyl flooring, permanent hard water stain in the tub, and old caulking. Towels clean, water was hot with good pressure. Overall, everything in this place is dated and very, very worn. This is a $50 a night hotel. I paid $117. The hotel is located in a small, rural, agricultural community—so it’s unrealistic to expect many amenities. The people are lovely—quite friendly. However, I would not stay here again and do not recommend, especially for the price.
