Beautiful, classic, old fashioned (the good kind)! - such a lovely getaway! We had a standard hotel room, large in size, a very comfortable bed and just all good. The breakfast was great, well stocked with everyhting our heart desired. The location, the mountains and the lakes and the easy parking etc. Makes the stay even better. One thing we missed was a lighter food option. With a smaller child, the heavy Austrian options were not a hit, and the bar-menu was fun one night, but not every night, so we had to leave the premisses to get something lighter/child friendly/“faster”.
[Small fresh Deao 18th anniversary trip 2006-2024] Schloss Fuschl Rosewood located in Fuscher Lake Salzburg has only opened this summer. When you come to Salzburg, you must live here to experience the castle where Princess Sissi lived.
1. Hotel service is very intimate: from our driving, there will be staff to help us valet parking, and at the same time take the luggage of the car to the room according to our requirements. When checking in, we will give us a drink that is said to be the favorite of Princess Sissi. Try a mouthful of sour plum soup with mixed berries! Then the housekeeper in charge of our housekeeper is an Austrian handsome guy, who will take us like Liu Yujin into the Grand View Garden, visit a circle of hotels, and then introduce them one by one, knowing that I am a fan of Princess Sissi, and have watched nearly 30 movies since childhood. He will also go overseas to see Princess Sissi's musical. He is also a little surprised. He told me that there is also a Princess Sissi Museum in the hotel, which is super exquisite treasures!
2. The location of the hotel is super good: just on the edge of Lake Fuscher, we booked a terrace room, open the floor-to-ceiling windows and walk to the terrace to drink tea facing the lake view. Then there is the suite of Emperor Franz Joseph upstairs.
3. I have to say that the shortcomings of the hotel are: the road sign is not big enough and not clear enough, especially from the Panshan Highway driving, even if I have been driving google navigation, it is easy to miss the sheep intestine trail leading to the hotel; And the entrance of the hotel is a narrow road with a 45-degree downhill. If you encounter a opposite drive, it will be a bit embarrassing.
4. Hotel dining is generally the same: it is a bit difficult to say about eating this thing here....Because I knew before I came, this was a hotel in the countryside, and there were no restaurants nearby, so I booked see terrace, by email early. Who knows that the weather is approaching and the email said that the lake view global food restaurant was closed due to the weather. , I opened the Schloss restaurant (Castle Restaurant) and I was down in my heart. It was over and it was a meal in the desert. Sure enough, I didn’t expect to see that there were very few menu choices, including fried pork chops, grilled fish, burdock and the like. I ordered mushroom soup, naked-eyed burdock, and Shuflei, and I felt that the burdock was not bad, but the sauce was not good. I asked the waiter to give black pepper. Shu Fulei is so big, the taste is good, but with plum sauce, it is the feeling of European and American sweetness to the hair.... In an instant, I really want to go back to the room or eat the eagle money fresh fried salmon canned in Go Asian supermarket before I came!
Overall, this rosewood is perfect for a holiday and a slow life!
This is the only negative review I am posting from our recent trip thru Austria Italy and Greece, of 8 hotels and inns. We had a 3 night stay at the Obermayer Inn, a 35 minute drive to Salzburg. The first night dinner was terrible, over salted, a mess of a presentation, meat was tough, just an overall extremely disappointing meal. The rooms were small, not a lot of space to move around, tripping over our luggage, no bar fridge, bathrooms small. Beds and bedding was very nice. Breakfasts were good, staff worked diligently to stock the buffet presentation, line up at the coffee machine, had to wait, bit of a nuisance. Third and last night we decided to give the hotel restaurant another try, unfortunately it was closed for a private event, only drinks. This was another disappointment, why couldn’t they have told us, why couldn’t they have posted notices that it would be closed? We wound up back in Salzburg, driving around looking for a suitable place to eat that wasn’t pizza or fast food. Returning to the Obermayer after a fine meal at another hotel we discovered the parking lot full and overflowing, we had to park on the shoulder of the highway 100 metres away. This private event ended after 10:00 pm and we were able to move the car into a legal parking spot on hotel property. Private event, drinks only, designated drivers, maybe, but I viewed several men leaving on their own. I believe this to be a favourite gathering place for locals, there is even a table in the dining area set aside for locals only, friendly, they smile and say hello. My brother in law who has stayed there twice before and had very nice things to say about the Obermayer, how quaint it is, Bavarian inn, now swears he will not stay there ever again. The good; the bed and bedding was very nice, the breakfast staff worked diligently, and parking was free, if you could find a parking spot.

This hotel is everything you expect from a well established family run Austrian lake side retreat. The protocol of its day to day running is well established and sound, removing the irritations that often come with a newer or badly managed establishment. The staff are well trained and informative. The food offerings are plentiful but not lavish or luxurious. I’ve been to other Austrian hotels where for example, the cold meats and breads at the buffet are of better quality and more abundant. More varieties of fruits and vegetables offered at the juice bar etc. This didn’t detract from the enjoyment for me personally but I mentally noted it and another guest who had been coming to the hotel for many years did say that the quality and quantity of F and B ‘wasn’t what it used to be’. Despite this I still enjoyed it and I am sure the hotel are doing its very best to make it work in a market that is probably more challenging of late in the face of rising costs and local staff shortages. Sometimes I felt like there was a rather meagre and ungenerous edge to some of the services eg charging 1.5 euros for a carafe of tap water at the table (when you didn’t order alcohol/wine), and the buffet choices mentioned above, hence my 4 rather than 5 star rating, however I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to others. I appreciated the positive environmental efforts the hotel are going to; a rather officious towel policy (well managed and not onerous) and the avoidance of plastic use. Excellent job. The rooms are super comfy and function well (if you want marble and brand new bathrooms and fixtures, don’t stay in this kind of hotel). The housekeeping is top notch. The spa services and facilities on offer are great. The massage I had was lovely. The staff are super lovely. The price is fair. I really enjoyed my time here. PS we upgraded our room mid stay. The reception assured us it would be an easy and seamless move, all done for us however it wasn’t at all. The porter who came refused to do it for us even though we had been told to the contrary. After throwing our things into a case at top speed we felt rather misled and when I raised it subsequently no one came to explain or apologise. Not a big thing but definitely an easy fix for the hotel - I guess things sometimes get missed or mis communicated.
My experience at the Jacob hotel was nothing short of perfect. The staff was friendly, and professional, the owner who was very welcoming and helpful in showing the best bike routes. The room is modern and with more than enough space (very cute the bike helmet holder on the wall). Breakfast served from 7 am includes a rich buffet with different types of milk and local produce. Dined at the hotel restaurant twice, including one in the lovely hotel garden, and were very satisfied with the menu and drinks. Bike service is on another level, with a mechanic available to support your setup needs. The rate includes free access to a 25m heated pool with a weekly lesson. Complimentary electric car charging. The beach on the lake is convenient and the scenery is unique. We will be back, definitely
This hotel is a fairytale experience. Staff can’t do enough for you. Setting is magical as is the ambience in the hotel. Food in the restaurant is top notch. Breakfast was amazing exceptional omelettes. Just book you won’t regret it. We have already book for next June.
2 large and 2 small rooms for 3 people. The hotel is really great, very Austrian countryside. The continental breakfast is very rich, with a variety of delicious, especially bread, with many items and everything is delicious. The children ate the most in Europe this time. On the night of check-in, I unexpectedly encountered the monster parade before Christmas. It was a very interesting experience. Diagonally opposite is a Christmas market, the food is also very delicious, the locals recommend an orange juice flavored cocktail, which is amazing, even if it is alcoholic, it does not taste alcohol at all

I write this review on the last day in my room at the Heffterhof Hotel in Salzburg. I started my stay here with my family on a tour, but got sick with COVID on the night we arrived. From the following day, as my family had to continue on back to our country, the Heffterhof Hotel staff cared for me like family. From management to the front desk, from the kitchen to the cleaning staff, everyone pitched in and went out of their way to make my stay and recovery as comfortable as possible. This service required way more effort than the normal guest as I had no family there to help me. But they checked in on me and brought me food and drinks. They brought tissues and extra towels. They ordered food out for me when the kitchen was closed. Instead of being treated like someone in quarantine, I felt like a member of the family being helped back to health. Customer service is always important in the hospitality business, but when things are going really badly for the guest, the kind of support I received at Heffterhof Hotel means everything to you. Thanks so much to all the staff at Hoffterhof Hotel!
Our trip was a family trip with our dog, the apartment was very spacious and the most important thing was the police. We had some problems to find Parking because the review talks about a property with a parking. Parking is clearly waiting when the structure is full and everyone travels in car to find a place for the car becomes difficult. We went in a very hot period but the apartment had a fan and a air conditioner so we were quite good. The point of the structure nevertheless excellent services described are there and we have been very good
