During our stay we stayed in the Windsor Suite offering ample of space with a combined living and sleeping room, a cabinet, a Roman bath & balcony as well as a terrace. All rooms and suites are individually designed with attention to detail. The country house’s restaurant offered an eccellent breakfast & dinner. The White Horse Hotel on Lake Wolfgang is well-deserved and the hotel is almost an attraction. It is located in the heart of the town, next to the town’s church, the hotel’s swimming pool and Wolfgang Lake are close to each other and can be conveniently located at the lake. Swimming in the indoor and outdoor pools of the hotel. The hotel breakfast is not particularly rich, but the variety and taste are also quite satisfactory, but the dinner at the lake view restaurant is definitely worth a try, the taste is amazing, not the ordinary Michelin knife and fork. The only downside of the hotel is that the hot water temperature is not stable and it is easy to get cold and hot. After living, there is a question, how can this be just a four-star hotel?

After dinner, I drove more than an hour from Salzburg to Lake Wolfgang. It was very late to the hotel. It was the last room. We arrived. The clerk stopped the car for us in the small courtyard. We lived here 2 weeks and feel very well. Little but beautiful and convenient 1-Zimmer-Appartement in the 1. OG with balcony and perfect sea view in a nice old villa, parking in the courtyard. The staircase is quite unusual, not appropriate and so doesn't suit the claim of the apartment. Kitchen and bathroom very small, but all there you need, including bed linen, towels and toilet paper. All right except on the floor, which could have been cleaner at our arrival (it was probably just sucked), under the bed was next to a lot of dust even waste from the predecessors! House is located on the congestive road towards the Schafbergbahn, always what happens and much to see who has a light sleep should take Ohropax. For this absolutely central and directly to the lake. Tea and apples are included, also treadboats at the lake. Beautiful sun terrace directly on the lake with beds inside and outside. We have always got a good place. All despite the many visitors clean and ordenly, partly somewhat used in the swimming pool area. We were just swimming in the lake and we could see that almost all bathroom guests went undouched in the hot outdoor pool and the whirlpool - showers are not easy to find below and there are no indications for use (which would be beneficial because of the large international guests - not few wear underwear under the bathroom ...). We have enjoyed buying the small packaging for the location and other benefits.

The hotel is so well located. It’s a five minute walk to the cogwheel train that take you up to the mountains for spectacular views. Our hotel room also had a lake view. Each table received a breakfast tower, which was ample and beautifully plated. It’s one of the most gorgeous breakfasts I’ve ever had.

The hotel facilities and environment are very good. I came here with my parents who are over 80 years old. I was surprised that there is an elevator here, but it is only located on the half floor. You still need to climb half a flight of stairs to get out. It's good strangeness. When I was leaving and checking out, I was asked to pay a separate cleaning fee of 39 euros for each room. I asked why and was told that this was an apartment and the kitchen needed to be cleaned. I said I only stayed for one night and didn't use the kitchen at all. I guess because I came from Vienna and am fluent in German, I was exempted. After reading previous reviews, many people have encountered this problem, so those who want to book should still consider it. This hotel is suitable for staying for a few more days. It is right by the lake. The environment is super beautiful. The rooms are large and close to the Schaffberg Mountain Railway. There are also Chinese restaurants and pizza shops nearby. So if you stay for a few more days, the cleaning fee is still worth it. of.

If you're going on the country to escape the city's heat - and then the roof room is much warmer than the city apartment - then there's something! Even the small ventilator is only noisy and brings nothing. It is so hot that you can only sleep with open balcony door, but the hangs are too thin and not light-density, the sun is shining in the morning and it is dawn. Sleep is no longer possible from around 7 a.m. The kitchenette is located right next to the balcony, making it sound and smells strong to eat. Otherwise the room is very nicely renovated. The bathroom is also halfway OK, only in the shower the shower head does not hold on the bar and to open the window you need to climb into the bathtub. The location is not just the best, the center is about 1km away, the lake is not seen either. The bathing beach is about 500 m walking. There are too few bedrooms, sunscreens and no toilet or shower. There is a completely hygienic manco for so many people! Even in the neighbouring cafe you cannot go, even if you want to drink something you're noticed: only for home guests or you pay entry 6. - Unfortunately the area is totally destroyed by mass tourism! Parking outside the hotel is not enough. However, the food is very good, the staff very friendly and helpful. Small career for this hotel class: use for the use of the room safe and filling the minibar every 30. - Eur and the summit is reached when you consume a bottle of wine at 32. - Eur and then still without notice 1. - Eur extra is charged for a caraffee pipe water. First of all, it should be mentioned that this hotel is a real eye-catcher. The location is optimal, isolated! The reception is extremely helpful with any requests (solstice bonfire, boat trip). Thank you very much for that. The rooms are very spacious, attention is paid to the little things, like the mini bishop's hat in the toothbrush glass!! Hospitality is a TOP priority here! The staff in the garden and in the restaurant, especially the men, are all great!! A consistent team that knows each other, you notice and feel that. One gentleman who was very calm and always found the right words in a highly professional, calm manner was a real positive, someone has to try and imitate that!!! The cuisine is magnificent, tradition and modernity combined, it doesn't get boring after a few days! Great enjoyment that other decorated restaurants don't offer at this level. Definitely! Big compliments to the whole kitchen!!!!!! We met the head chef personally and expressed our thanks, thank you very much for the kind words, it was a lovely chat, it was important to us to also compliment them on what goes on behind the scenes. From around 11pm you can experience a lot of peace and absolute silence (if that still exists anywhere in the world) directly by the lake or while walking along the barefoot path. We spent a great holiday at Stadthotel Goldenes Schiff and can really recommend it. All in all just TOP!!! 🥰 The room was clean and tidy with a spectacular river view from the huge window. The interior is modern, there is also available a tablet in the room that can help you to find any information that you need during your stay in this beautiful hotel. The foods were 5 stars; a rich breakfast buffet and delicious modern menus in the evening. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Their English is perfect. The Wellness area is a dream. Have some choices of sauna, fitness/gym area, also a great chilling area with a wonderful view of Traun. Last but not least, the location is TOP! In the center of Bad Ischl, which makes you easy to go anywhere, or get anything you want. As for me who likes running, I enjoyed my running time around the hotel and the river, the view is so spectacular. Keep it up!! Hope someday we can come back to this hotel again. 😊
