"The room is small but well equipped. The bed is comfy. The public area is nice.  The library provides with free cold and sparkling water. It is so easy to bottle up the water before I head out for the day.  They also have a microwave and coffee machine. They provide complimentary apples which are crunchy and sweet. The $6 muffin is also good.  The neighbourhood is mostly government offices. The e Parliament House is in walking distance. However, it takes 10 minutes to walk to the nearest supermarket. "Location in a lovely garden setting was perfect and parking out front of the hotel was easy and convenient. Very quiet at night. Room (Superior King) was large, well set out and had lots of windows. Bed was extremely comfortable. Only negative was that a queen sized doona was on the king bed, which left it a bit on the small side. Bedding and pillows were all excellent of good quality. Staff were friendly,although when we asked for the doona to be replaced with a larger one, we were told upon returning to the hotel later that it had been done. It had not. The main downside of this well-kept and attractive hotel is that there is no food or bar facilities, although they provide links to nearby cafes and other eateries. About 10 to 15 minutes walk takes you to to the main restaurant area of Manuka."

"There aren't many places to eat around the hotel, and you need to take a bus to get to the city. The view is nice and very close to the Congress. Ben Chifley has lived here for a long time and is in the room next to us. But I don’t know why there is an empty plate outside our door and he didn’t take it away even after telling the front desk. . Because we had to catch the morning train to Sydney, we thought we needed to book an Uber in advance, but the front desk staff said we didn’t need to, just call for a taxi ten minutes in advance, saving us 30 Australian dollars. Went to the restaurant for dinner, it was good."

"We stayed over Christmas and it was lovely for the kids. They were welcomed with gift packs full of mini-games, not just the normal colouring papers and pencils. They also have a Christmas workshop set up way before Christmas. The room was very nicely decorated with ample of space for crafting and small table for some drinks. The only downside was that many things had been used up and not refilled as the workshop opened a few weeks before Christmas. They also served milk in the workshop room, but I had concerns that the milk was there from the morning for the whole day and that it was not kept chilled, which might not be good for the kids to consume. The receptionists were very friendly."

"I recently stayed at Rydges Canberra and, overall, found the experience to be quite average. The hotel didn’t quite live up to my expectations — while it wasn’t bad, it also wasn’t particularly memorable. The room itself was clean but pretty basic and somewhat dated, lacking the comfort or extra touches you'd hope for at this price point. One thing that stood out as a bit off-putting was the parking fee — $25 per night seemed steep, especially considering the overall value of the stay. On a more positive note, the breakfast was definitely the highlight. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and offered a good variety — a great way to start the day. In summary, Rydges Canberra was okay for a short stay, but it didn’t impress. I’d consider other options next time unless the breakfast alone is enough to bring me back."

"The hotel consists of several large courtyards, with buildings up to two stories high. The rooms are of medium size, with windows that open, and are clean and comfortable. Amenities like a kettle, hairdryer, and refrigerator are all readily available, and the free Wi-Fi is excellent. Complimentary coffee bags, tea, and milk are also provided in the rooms."

"A hotel that exceeded expectations. I booked a one-bedroom suite with a large living room, a separate bedroom and a kitchen. There is a supermarket near the hotel, so it is very convenient to buy steak and cook it. If you are too lazy to cook, there are also Chinese restaurants nearby that are also delicious. The most important thing is that the hotel has free parking. You don't have to worry about roadside charges or parking is too expensive. You can park anywhere you want, which is very important in Australia."
