"We had a very frustrating experience trying to check in. The staff member helping us seemed very unfamiliar with the system and initially said my partner couldn’t check in without me, even though the booking was in both of our names. Then when he finally relented, my partner wasn’t able to pay the $50 deposit because the credit card reader wasn’t working properly (or possibly the staff member had messed that up as well?), so he had to hang around for 15 minutes until I turned up. Then, when I was trying to check in the same staff member somehow suddenly ‘lost’ our booking and couldn’t progress… after another 10 minutes the he eventually asked his manager to come help and locate the booking (which the manager did with no issues). The manager was nearby the whole time but didn’t seem interested in helping until the staff member actively requested his assistance, even though it was clear we’d been there for ages - honestly I was about to asks the manager to come over myself. It was absolutely bizarre, overall it took over 30 minutes to check in and was very frustrating. The room was a bit dirty (stains on the curtains and bed headrest) but serviceable."

"Typical sterile boring but very functional Hotel. Not much difference in many of these types of hotels dotted around the city. It is purely there to do what it advertisers to do which is provide a comfortable night accommodation but has about as much excitement and spark as my 95-year-old grandfather. 👴…. It’s as boring as you would expect it to be sitting off the edge of the city. however, the rooms were very clean and the bed comfortable so no complaints in that respect. I would definitely stay here again if I needed a night accommodation purely for a night accommodation.  unfortunately this is where hotels are heading in this functional world of ours. Boring but functional. If there was a pod hotel in Melbourne, I would definitely stay there instead of here as at least a pod hotel will have a travel vibe to it. "

"I booked a four-day, five-night stay at the 1hotel, Melbourne's newest brand, well in advance. I was extremely dissatisfied with the room service. Housekeeping required scheduling via TV (unfortunately, it was broken), calling customer service (also broken), or pressing the housekeeping button on the door (which I did for two days without anyone responding). Frustrated, I went to the front desk, where a foreign woman quickly dismissed me. After waiting half an hour with no one coming, I went back to the front desk. Luckily, a tall, Chinese lady patiently listened to my request and immediately helped us coordinate. A clumsy Indian male housekeeping staff member arrived, and suddenly I understood why they hadn't cleaned for two days! Indians are never reliable! How outrageous! 😡 They also sent two repairmen to fix the phone and TV, disturbing our rest. 😍‼ I'm still very grateful to the Chinese lady at the front desk for personally delivering a card and chocolates to our room; it made us feel that fellow countrymen are truly kind! Overall, the hotel location is excellent, the concierge service is excellent, and the gym is excellent! Cleanliness is so-so, and the carpet was very dirty. Facilities: Okay Cleanliness: Not so good Environment: Okay Service: Okay except for room service"

"Decent hotel, some odd in house policies but otherwise a nice stay.  Buffet breakfast was good with the usual bacon eggs, fruits juices coffee omelettes.  Plenty of restaurants near by hotel about 3-4 min walk around the corner near the Hoyts. Urban Brewery. Asian, Greek, delicious ice cream, kids adventure and entertainment, Woolworth and Dan’s Murphy’s are a short walk in the opposite mall as well about 2 mins with a chem warehouse. Roof top pool was lovely, with the heated spa. Nice view and it can get cold but in a hot day is lovely. I wouldn’t go swimming on the cold day. Had a free welcome drink in the sunset bar but did not have food. Did not try room service.  Check in and out was as expected. Pay $100 deposit per night, best to use CC as they charge you triple with cash deposits.  Complex across the road Also do remedial and foot massages there.  Rooms are a nice size with big bathrooms, beds are comfy. Staff seem to be friendly and smiling. Rooms We’re cleaned on time everyday. Had no issues with the room or cleanliness.  Overall nice area in the Dockland! 12 min u er to the casino and DFO south whalf mall where you get some fantastic bargains.  Dont catch taxi EVER. Uber are quick and very efficient.  Taxi wanted to charge me $95 from domestic to hotel, Uber $59 in comparison. Stay away from taxis as they rip you off."

"My experience was pretty mixed this time around, my room did not have tv remote and also had an extra access card key already placed in the light holder when i entered the room, also the 2 bed side lamps weren’t working either, when i escalated my concerns to staff they were apologetic and were very accomodating. Though i had these concerns with my room but the staff’s positive attitude flipped the whole situation. I will be travelling again and will be recommending this hotel to others"

"Location is very good because it is just next to a stop on the free tram system. There are shops and supermarkets nearby and some restaurants. You can also easily walk to the CBD, river and Southern Cross Station. It is relatively large and has plenty of amenities. The only negative was that the soft chairs are covered in highly visible greasy food and drinks stains. They should either use a faux leather or something or throws that can be washed. Also there seemed to be a huge excess of bedding which got tangled and uncomfortable. A simple duvet, sheet and two pillows would be better in my opinion. But otherwise, all good!"

"The hotel is a bit far from the Melbourne CBD and there are trams nearby. About 10-15 minutes walk to Costco and Woolworths. The environment and facilities in the hotel are very good, you can cook by yourself, if you come again, it is highly recommended"

"The location is right on the edge of the city center, lively and quiet, the environment is good. However, the front desk is not in the same place as the apartment and needs to be found, so it is best to know some English. In addition, the house is separated by a partition, the sound insulation effect is not very good, the party is opened next door, and it is very loud."
