Whilst our stay in the Hotel X Suite was pleasant, there was nothing memorable about it. The suite was spacious, fitted with modern conveniences (ie. electric blockout curtains, Dyson hairdryer, zip tap and smart tv) and was generally comfortable. Unfortunately, the bathroom lacked privacy as it overlooked the street and directly faced another building across the road so the blinds were always drawn preventing natural light from coming in. Also, there is no separate toilet with lockable door. Although, the toiletries were nice and the shower quite spacious. Service was friendly but lacked a personal touch. Breakfast at Bisou Bisou had a limited menu but the food was overall good. The rooftop bar (Iris) had great views, a good tapas menu and relaxing vibe. The location of the hotel is convenient, within walking distance of the buzzing James Street precinct and a short car ride to the city centre.
Great place to stay. We were attending a matinee at the Lyric Theatre and Atrio was a much better and cheaper option than staying in town. Just a short walk from Fortitude Valley train station and the city cat ferry at Howard Smith Wharves. Pig and Whistle pub just across the road, plus two coffee shops. Will definitely stay again.
Place is extremely nice and has everything I need. Pros - Super clean. - Soundproofing is good. - Room Aircon doesn't get overwelmed. - Shower is to die for. - Staff are super helpful (we got lost trying to find our room). Cons - It is pricey but nothing crazy for the area. - 3 buildings and we got lost (if you can call it a con). - All the extra's you get for staying require you staying more than a day to use so much offered. - Leaving after dark on a weekend might be hell because its the valley. - If you are younger Egirls will try your dm's to get to come swim in the many pools. - Parking is a nightmare.

Very central spot if you have business to do in the area or are there to visit and party! All precincts are in walking distance, so is the Story bridge and the river. Great setting! Nice apartment with all you need. Balcony was a bonus! A bit loud, but hey you are in that area. It would have been nice to have milk for the coffee on the second morning though.. only milk for one night, and not for the 2 booked…
The hotel is in an area surrounded by bars so perfect for someone who wants to party. A long walk to the centre and a 5 minute walk to Fortitude Valley station. The reception area and very large kitchen are always spotlessly clean. I was in an 8 bed dorm which had a large table island in the middle of the room with individual open cupboards. Not big enough for anyone’s bag to fit in though. The room became extremely messy as people couldn’t store bags and suitcases and we are all very trusting leaving our belongings inside these open cupboard spaces. The hostel does provide each person with a small safe above said open cupboard. 1 separate toilet and 1 separate shower in the room for all 8 people. Very frustrating! Other than that, the bed was comfortable.
I had a perfectly pleasant stay until thhe day before I checked out when someone from reception entered the room (while I was in there) under the impression that I was supposed to have checked out. It was probably a simple mistake, which while invasive is also understandable. No apology, but they are mostly meaningless anyway and it probably wasn't the fault of the person who entered the room. Hadbit ended there I wouldn't have mentioned it, but the same thing happened again when despite the 'do not disturb' sign on the door housekeeping also entered the room also under the mistaken impression that I had checked out. I called reception after the second incident and was put on hold for 18 minutes before they eventually tried to put the blame on housekeeping (and repeatedly got my name wrong, which I wouldn't have cared about if it weren't for the being on hold and the weasily attempt to put what was clearly a reception error on the housekeeping staff). The whole incident left a lingering bad impression, which is unfortunate after an otherwise very pleasant and uneventful stay.
Breakfast is very good. The chef orders it now: omelet, shredded cheese, vegetables, mushrooms, etc. It's great. Other kinds of bread, fresh juice coffee tea. Meat has sausages, bacon. Peach apple, cantaloupe, pineapple and other fruits, a kind of Danone fruit yoghurt. All in all, including early value

We had the most amazing weekend away at this beautiful, well situated Hotel. Isabella checked us in and was fantastic, we booked the wrong weekend and within minutes our booking was changed and we were in the room without any hassle. Every interaction we had with her was outstanding. We also had breakfast in the restaurant both mornings, the food was great and service again, outstanding. Best customer service experience we have had in ages, thank you! Would highly recommend this Hotel to everyone!!
We had a pleasant stay at Kooii Apartments. The apartment is spacious and good for us, a family of four. The kitchen is well equipped. Overall, we were satisfied with amenities and facilities provided by Kooii. If we didn’t find a cockroach in the living room, we would definitely rate Kooii Apartments higher in cleanliness.
We really want to thank Scott, the Building Manager, for helping us when we had trouble. We had left our car key in the apartment after we checked out and dropped the room keys and swipe cards into the express box at 7:30 a.m. Unfortunately, we had to return the car and catch our flight. We called Scott for help. He was really helpful, patient and friendly.
The hotel is quite new. Supposed to book a female dorm but mistakenly selected a mixed dorm. However, the experience is not bad. Facilities are new. I like the locker which is large enough for a 23kg-size luggage and accessible by the room key. Love the kitchen and rooftop areas. Hand wash and bath gel are provided in the bathroom. Location is near to Fortitude Valley station. 24/7 front desk makes it more convenient for late flight passengers like me. However, it's quite warm inside the pod.

Outstanding
TTash PorterEvery thing about my stay at the Ovolo was great. I was very impressed with the size of the room (I actually felt guilty that I had such a large space to myself because the room is bigger than the apartment i live in!), the decor was beautiful, very modern and the free mini bar filled with snacks, beer, wine, soft drinks, waters etc was an unexpected surprise. Reception was welcoming and personable and it was a real delight talking with the staff. They also have rooms that cater for dogs (ALL dogs, not just tiny dogs) which means I'll be bringing my canine companion with me next time I stay here.
CCHURUJust stayed in this hotel, I haven't checked out, I can't help but talk about it.
1. The so-called Morandi color swimming pool, which is too stingy, similar to domestic hotels in the 1990s. Little Red Book claims to be ”I haven't been here before, I haven't been to Brisbane.” You can say this kind of crap, how much money you have collected, haha
2. Room facilities are ok, with electric curtains. It's just the same photo fraud. If you know how much I look forward to living here, it's the same as an ordinary hotel with more than 800 yuan. Why should I pay double the price? Who makes money is easy!
3. The ceiling and balcony are all cement floor paint. You can say that it is industrial style, but it is indeed low cost and not worth his price.
4. The parking space is $ 25 a night? It only cost $ 1.8 an hour to park by the side of the hotel, and it was free after 10pm to 7am.
5. The only good location is the location, there are many shops you want to visit, davidjones is just opposite, it is very convenient.
After vomiting, I hope you do n’t spend money on thunder, just watched Ctrip, many good hotels are only 800.1000, you can watch the beautiful night view of Brisbane, you do n’t have to stick to the net red hotel.
TT00dles67So I wasn't sure about these apartments but liked the location. I was a little shocked opening the door to walk straight into the bedroom at the front!! BUT, the place totally grew on me. The apartment was roomy with clever use of space and I was super impressed by my owners styling and also how everything was catered for. Fully equipped kitchen, Comp tea and coffee, towels, hair dryer, iron and board, toiletries - everything catered for from ice in the freezer and a jug of chilled water. I was on a red eye from Darwin and the owner accommodated an earlier check in. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and loved the easy walk to James Street, to the bridge and short ride to Eagle Street ($12). Also the #1ranked Cafe across the road did not disappoint! Give it a go it a bit quirky but that adds to the charm!
We stayed here for two nights. We had an event at the Valley Pool, and this hotel is an excellent choice for anyone needing to go there, it's very close. The service here is excellent and we got consistently good service from the staff at the front desk. Unfortunately they were the only high points. The room was awful. It was extremely dark with no natural light. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The TV was too small for the location it was in. We had a balcony with no furniture that only looked over other people's rooms, so you couldn't use it without feeling awkward. The decor was ugly. The plumbing in the bathroom was bad and it smelled really bad nearly the whole time we were there. There was only free to air on the TV. There is parking at the hotel, but it is not free, which is usual for a cbd hotel. There is not much street parking around this end of the Valley. I really wanted this place to be better, but they are going to have to fix the rooms, and put quality beds in there for the room rate they are charging. There are better options at that price.
EELL BELL JLoved this place, easy check in & the lady that worked there that helped me sign in was absolutely lovely!! She helped me with my bags to my room. Awesome place awesome service 5 stars !
One problem however was the shower pressure was horrible
GGuest UserCheap, you get what you pay for. It's so close to everything so if you just want to explore and have somewhere to rest your head it's perfect!
Showers were alright, toilets were clean, beds were comfy, and there's even laundry facilities
