Thankyou Discovery parks McKay for restoring my faith in caravan accommodation. Michelle & Sue are the old fashioned sort of managers that at least appear to very much want you to have a great experience. Their recommendations to go to the Pioneer Valley show made for an unexpected memorable day . While there is some traffic noise we were close to the incredible wet land that the park surrounds full of bird life . We found it very quiet & spacious. The very well maintained facilities were much appreciated especially the fantastic ensuite. We initially booked for 2 nights as weโd rather park on the road than a bad caravan park however we stayed for 6 . The park is ideally located which meant weโve had a great experience in McKay m, Finch Hatten and Eungulla .

We needed somewhere to stop overnight and for a good nights sleep. Room was very comfortable and quiet and clean. Hotel is a little dated but no complaints. I had hoped for more food options on the harbour however they were limited. The restaurant in the hotel was good however under pressure as they were also hosting a wedding. I should have done a little more research as the hotel was further off the highway i.e. beyond the Mackay town centre and the city is reasonably well spread. Bed was comfy and we enjoyed the quiet.

Stayed here for a week, and what a pleasant surprise. Firstly the place is spotless. My room was fully functional nothing broken or missing. The location is perfect to access town but because it's at a dead end street you are away from the hustle and bustle of The main street traffic noise. Access to town is a short walk to the CBD and major shopping centre. The office staff are prompt and courteous, even the cleaning staff are always smiling. The pool area has a bbq area, the pool is fantastic. WiFi and subscription tv do the job for entertainment. Breakfast is provided, cereal, toast, juice etc. .. overall a totally hassle free experience and my room was cleaned every 2 days by the friendly staff. Recommended to any one who wants a value for money hassle free stay in a quiet and clean as well as convenient location.

My apartment was spacious, comfortable, modern and clean, with a fully equipped kitchen and large balcony overlooking the river. It has everything required for a short or long stay including washing machine and drier. It could only be improved by making it feel a bit less โblankโ. e.g. needs some pictures on the walls, cushions for the sofa (had to use pillows!). Good facilities - nice pool (although the hard wood sun loungers could do with some cushions!), small gym and a sauna. Location is right on the river next to the lagoon and a big shopping centre, just a short walk into the city centre. Very quiet, no noise disturbance at all. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable. Recommend!

Great service at check-in, kindly upgraded which was much appreciated, clean rooms, great size, great location - was able to walk most places.
The only down side was that there was a smell musty, damp smell when the air con was on.

Amazing room, thought i could live there! It had a washing machine and a dishwaser and lounge room. The bedroom was lovely too, sliding mirror cupboards nd a tv. The bed was so comfy too, wish i could have stayed longer. Also the shower pressure was great! You know how hotel showers can be iffy, this one was hot and good presure. Also had a bath which was great to relax after a long day. Only thing i didn't love was the fact the iron was steamless. I understand that's probably safety. It did the trick.
