I came over and stayed for a work trip. I booked the Parkside Motel as it was only a 10 minute walk to work and the photos of the room online looked nice and clean. From the outside it was not overly appealing but the reception and room I stayed in was clean and tidy - what you would expect from a typical motel room. The first night was fine but the second morning I woke up in the middle of the night to see that my door had been opened and the swing chain on the inside was stretched to capacity. I knew the door was properly locked before I went to bed and the doors are opened by an older style key so no accidental swipe card could have been used. I went to check out the next morning as I felt uncomfortable staying there for the remainder of my trip (had 2 more nights). Lindy the Manager/owner instantly got defensive and rude and made me feel small for wanting to leave and said they would not offer a refund. There was no empathy or care for what happened, instead they were angry and somehow tried to put the blame on me. I rung Wotif who we booked through to advise the situation to try and get our money back. They said that the money would be returned once the Motel had confirmed I had checked out and why (I told Wotif what happened). Wotif rung be back advising they could not return the money as Lindy had denied my reasoning for checking out - stating that I told them nothing and simply checked out. It was a really horrible experience and would not recommend.

Overall I enjoyed my stay here, the grill and Bar unfortunately was closed at the time I was here so I can't rate it. If you need something to fill in a few hours I highly recommend checking out the old Geelong gaol around the corner.

Apartment hotel, centrally located in the town. The rooms are comfortable, hygienic and spacious, the bathrooms are large and the price is not expensive, suitable for a family of four.

A very nice Morel with spotless grounds and a room (4) that was large had everything u could ask for was spotless clean and like wise the bathroom Very large vanity area everything supplied As with all motels car parking tight but this room had undercover parking with better than average width . Be aware Booking .con advertises pay at property but Motel rejects this So Booking .com are not correct , the payment was taken in advance by Motel as per their policy Was not their fault but rather wrong info from Booking . Com !!!!!

The beds were super comfy and the motel is a short walk to Geelong waterfront. It is also super close to the Gull bus office so really convenient to get to and from Melbourne Airport. Would stay there again.

Great hotel. Our room was upstairs. Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Excellent friendly staff. The location is perfect for a stroll down to the bay to walk along or into town to the many restaurants or shopping.

The motel is just up the road from the waterfront and big wheel, and close to restaurants, cafes and shops. It took about 20 minutes to walk from the railway station. The room was light and spacious, the curtains kept the early morning light out and the windows could be opened for fresh air. The staff were helpful and friendly and let me leave my suitcase when I arrived before check in and again next day after check out. The bed was comfortable and the cleaners had done a great job. It was not as expensive as many Geelong accommodation places and I'd definitely stay again.
