I was quite surprised by how rundown this hotel was. The outside had trash bags lying around, there was poor lighting in the parking lot that made stepping in the potholes a hazard, and although there were 'no smoking' signs around it seems nearly every second room had a smoker in it. The first room I was given smelled of stale smoke and the TV and air conditioning both didn't work. Instead of the customary hotel phone where simply pressing zero gets you reception, the phone was a cordless home phone and there was no information to tell you what number to dial to reach reception so I had to walk back down to ask for assistance. The clerk did everything she could to make me just go away, including suggesting that I just leave the windows open (not exactly keeping the room secure!). She told me I wasn't working the remotes properly, although they were pretty plain remotes (power on, make your choices) so to please her I had to go back up and try again on my own, but still no success. Back down to insist that the a/c and TV should work for what the room was costing. She didn't want to walk up to the room to figure out the issue so she gave me a key card to another room instead (this was after she told me there were no other rooms available). Same thing in the second room, but one of these remotes had scotch tape on the back to hold the batteries in. And I was surprised that the TV setup was different from the previous room (3 remotes for this combo). I went back down for a third time and gently insisted that she come up and get things working. She was clearly irritated but she finally went up to the room with me. It turned out both remotes had dead batteries in them. Instead of apologizing and putting in fresh new batteries, she seemed even more irritated and rummaged around in the reception area until she found a few used batteries to replace the dead ones (my 4th trip down to the office). At last the a/c and TV worked, and the second room didn't have the stale cigarette smell of the first. I would not stay at this hotel again and it is certainly not worth the price or the 3.5 stars review (who's giving all the good reviews for this motel?). The customer service is bad, the freezer in the mini fridge was so full of frost I couldn't fit in a small ice pack from my cooler without chipping and scraping some of the ice out, and the rooms are rundown and dingy. I'm giving 2 stars because the bedding seemed clean and the bathroom seemed clean.
Would not recommend. I checked in to room 165 which felt like it’s in an old basement. Very inconsistent loud old wall heater, old jacuzzi tub. Just dated and not comfortable feeling. It was so hot I took my scarf off when checking it out and calling down to reception to see if I could get a different room. They said yes and confined the one I was in was the oldest room they had but they could give me a different room. I was happy and quick to leave. I accidentally forgot my beautiful scarf in the original room. I went to the desk and they said they will send someone to get it. Later when I followed up they said it wasn’t in the room. When I insisted it was they said that the door is broken on the room. It needed to be re-keyed by a professional so they could not take another look. I never got my beautiful scarf back. Anyway, the room they gave me was apparently newer but the layout was so strange. The bathroom sink to wash your hands right next to the entrance main door and the smallest toilet and shower area. Like Europe would find this small. I am a thin person and could barely turn around. The room was worn as well but fine. It’s was very close to the reception 102 so very loud as well as it’s a main artery for ppl to walk down. So I didn’t get much sleep due to this and the very hard bed. The restaurant was fabulous. The staff at the hotel were nice but no intention getting my scarf back for me.

This hotel is located just off the highway halfway between Quebec City and Montreal. Small hotel. Room and bathroom ware clean. Bed was comfortable. Not enough light in the room. Only two table lamps that didn’t give enough light. Not enough light in the bathroom as well. We were staying in this hotel on our way back from vacation in Maritimes. This was the only hotel without hot breakfast. There were some cold eggs, in the fridge, yogurt and some cheese sandwiches that supposed to be warmed up in the microwave, but there was no microwave. Muffins, bread and fruit cups. I thought we came too late and hot food ran out, so I asked at reception and the answer I’ve got was that we didn’t serve hot breakfast on weekends. Really??? There was a hot food station and waffle maker. But it all was marked out of order. I assumed on the other days they would serve hot breakfast. This was unexpected and unpleasant. Not what I am expected from the Comfort Inns, where breakfasts are usually good. It is good that we had some cold cuts in the room, so we grabbed whatever was available and went into the room to warm sandwiches and add some meat to our breakfast. Though I liked that it was just next to St.Hubert, where we went for dinner, next time if I chose Drummondville, I will stay in a different hotel
We stayed here on the final leg of a journey to the east coast back to Ontario. I spent time looking for a pet friendly hotel since those that don't take dogs greatly outnumber those that do. After a whole day of driving I was told the second floor is designated for dogs. I was also informed that I could not take my small dog on the elevator. I am almost 70 and both my 25 pound dog and I have mobility issues. I was advised I would have to take the stairs and if the dog couldn't get up the stairs I would be required to carry her. The reason? Hotel policy (no discussion) and guests with allergies couldn't use the elevator after a dog had been there. Final solution --- the supervisor said an exception would be made as long as no other guests got on the elevator. I had just spent two weeks in 10 different pet-friendly hotels including the Quality Suites in Levis --- never encountered this before. My feeling is if a guest is so sensitive to dogs (who may have been on the elevator) perhaps they should be staying at a pet free hotel --- there are lots of those. The front counter staff was not willing to make an exception; only a supervisor could. Apart from that the hotel was great ....
