Very friendly staff in service, reception and bar. Good cuisine, which is however closed on Sunday and Monday evenings. The room was clean and well furnished but dark and without the advertised mountain view but directly on a residential building. The beds were very comfortable though. The reserved and confirmed parking space was not available. In the vicinity there are only short-term parking spaces. The breakfast is very, very modest. The wine from the wine vending machine on the 1st floor not recommended. All in all a nice, clean 3 star hotel but way too expensive.

neues Hotel zuoberst auf einem Wohn- und Geschäftshaus direkt am Bahnhof und an der Busstation Mendrisio. Ausgezeichnete Lage für Ausflüge ins Mendrisotto mit dem öV! Ausserordentlich schöne, grosszügige und saubere Zimmer mit sehr guter Schallisolierung und guten Betten. Guter Aufenthaltsraum mit wunderbarem Rundblick im 6.Stock. Sehr freundliches Personal an der Rezeption und im Frühstücksraum, sogar vergessene Kabel fürs Handy werden ausgeliehen! Grosszügiges Frühstücksbuffet, sehr angemessener Preis fürs Zimmer. Gerne wieder einmal!

The hotel is located at a high-speed intersection, and you will arrive at the hotel after you get off the highway, which is convenient for you to rest on the road. The hotel is clean and tidy, the service is warm, the breakfast is average, and it is a passing hotel.

The hotel is very close to the station, the room is large and clean. It is a shop opened by an old couple, and the store is very simple. Wait until we are 12 o'clock in the night. The croissant for breakfast is very delicious. However, Chiasso is close to Italy, the English of the store is not very good, and the exchange is a little hard.

We got a little room on the side wing, but still had the view of the mountains and even some lake. The beds were ok. The bathroom also outdated, but satisfactory. SPA area: sauna, steam bath, relaxation room, massage room, indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. Robes are extra and cost 10CHF. Towels for SPA are available in rooms only. For us the jacuzzi was the highlight, a very relaxing feature. Restaurant (dinner): very very impressed. Bread basket with olive bread was fantastic to tamper our hunger initially. For mains we got Ossobucco and Steak and both dishes were very well executed. The cheese board (Menu Ticino) was bigger than expected and we ended up sharing (it was a very large 1-person portion). The dessert that came in Menu Ticino was mistaken, but quickly corrected when we brought it to the attention of the waiter. Service a little slow. Restaurant (breakfast): very disappointed. The coffee is not great. Porridge is cold and has a ton of sugar in it. Cereal selection not bad. The meats were ok. Cheeses not great. Bread selection good. Loads of fruit, for those who eat it. Scrambled eggs not available at the buffet. Overall a pleasant stay but: the hotel was not full and a room upgrade would have been nice. Location is quite remote and might be a stressful drive to unsure drivers. Plenty of parking spaces. Complimentary water in room at arrival. Average.

The room is very good, the room is facing the lake, the scenery is very good, but unfortunately there is no time. The most dissatisfied is the front desk clerk. I feel unfriendly to the Chinese and the tone is really hard. Is this a five-star waiter? ?

What a surprise. Entrance, garage, check-in were so easy. But there was another big surprise: we were upgraded to a Suite. Room and bathroom were prefect and clean. The restaurant food was very good. There is a nice terrace overlooking the large swimming pool. The staff was very professional and extremely friendly. Breakfast was a very well appointed buffet. The location was perfect for us. Not too far from the freeway without the drawbacks and not too far from Lugano that can be reached in less than half hour. We highly recommend this hotel.
