I was uncertain about staying here as there were mixed reviews, but I am VERY glad I did. I extended my stay twice! I was upgraded to the ”chalet”, a modern adjacant building in chalet style, where I had a spacious room with everything one could want, including great views & a balcony. The breakfast buffet in the spacious dining room was excellent, a very full range & lots of choice - everything from hot bacon & eggs to a variety of cold meats & cheeses to cereals & a great coffee machine. Parking is spacious & free (rare in this area) Interlaken is an interesting destination - but you do pay for that!! Typically at least double the price I paid to stay here. As the hotel is about 1km from town, it is best to have a car here; or bikes; or enjoy walking.

The location of the hotel is farther from the train station than other hotels. The place is clean and tidy, and the breakfast has many varieties and features. It's a pity that I have to give a bad review on the service. I should check in at 3:00 pm, and I won't have a room until 4:00 pm. It is also different from the room pointed out 1 hour ago. We sat outside the door of the room to eat, took a cloth stool to put food on, and covered it with protection. My husband and I stayed at this property for three nights in the first week of October, 2022 booked through an agency in India. We reached Wilderswil at about 6:30 PM and were fascinated by the beauty of this village and of the inn as well. Conveniently far from the bustling town of Interlaken but also close enough to public transport that can get you there in under 20 minutes. The natural beauty here is enough to make you forgive the flight of stairs you have to lug your international luggage up- Ah what’s a rustic inn without some deficiency in technology? No problem. There was a warm welcome note from Erica and Bernard Muller (the inn owners) in the room and I looked forward to meeting them during our 3-night stay. Alas that was not to happen. The bathroom is quite minuscule and the shower only has a thin curtain to keep the water out, so you’re bound to end up with some spillage onto the floor. So as much as I hated to not continue using the same towel for all three days, I had to use it to soak up the water on the bathroom floor. We headed out that morning on our adventures making it a point to leave a ‘Clean my room’ tag outside the door as we left, and handed over the room key at the reception mentioning we’d like the room cleaned. We came back to the same messy room, linen unfolded and wet towels on the bathroom floor. Oh well, the housekeeping must have misunderstood the tag to be ‘Do not disturb’ as can occasionally happen. So we call the reception to ask for a couple of fresh towels sent up and a Ms. Fabian, flatly refuses. She says, we didn’t go into your room since you indicated ‘Do not disturb’ and now you can’t have fresh towels. “ Why do you need a fresh towel everyday? I don’t” she says when we insisted on one. At this point, I completely lose it and walk down the flight of stairs to the reception to demand some towels and Ms. Fabian says, she trusts her housekeeping more than customers when they tell her the DND sign was hung up. ‘It doesn’t matter what you tell at the reception, it matters what sign was out’. She goes on to tell us how ‘certain kind of people’ is always complaining. When probed as to what kind, she asks me where I’m from and then there you go! She probably didn’t understand the concept of ‘denominator’ as most people at the hotel were South Asians. I go on to explain to her that my degree in physics allows me to understand and explain to her that a short pavement and a negligible curtain cannot keep a turbulent stream of water from a hand held shower from at least minimally flooding the bathroom (condescending yes but wait for it!). She says she is too qualified to talk to ‘the likes of you (me)’. A few minutes later (as if upon someone’s instruction) she comes up to the room, fresh towels in hand saying she would like to ‘apologize for her honesty about us people’. All in all that ruined an exhilarating day we had and we were discussing options to move elsewhere, given the fact that agency had already made a f

This hotel is on the edge of the mountain, flowing water flowing from the front of the hotel, the river on the back of the mountain is very comfortable. Just got off at the supermarket bus stop and walked about 300-400 meters. From Interlaken West Station, take 105 for about 10 minutes. It is very convenient. All hotels will give you a free bus that you can take advantage of. If you have a 3-day trip, you can take the bus one day and take the entire Interlaken. The price in Switzerland is really high. The disadvantage of this hotel is that it can't be cooked and was found to be fined 500 Swiss francs. Eating is the biggest problem. Almost a fast food in the town center is about 200 yuan. You can consider taking a bus to the second floor of the ost supermarket in Interlaken. It is cheap, and a person can eat enough 60-70.

There is no direct bus from interlaken west station to the hotel. The navigation says 1.2 km. I feel that 2 km is definitely there! Pull the suitcase from the train station to the end of the road and climb the hillside and climb a long way to the hotel! But when I was soaking my own black tea on the small balcony, listening to the birds twirling, looking up and seeing the setting sun, covering the Jinshan, I feel worth it! Das Gartenzimmer war eigentlich gut. Die Begrüssung des Inhabers besserwisserisch und eher kein warmes Willkommen. Die Frühstückszeiten sind zwischen 7.30 und 9.30, was absolut ein zu kleines Zeitfenster ist. Wir wollten früher los und baten am Abend vorher um ein Frühstückspaket. Die Antwort war: Das zahlt mir niemand, jemanden früher aufzubieten... Kleiner Tipp am Rande von Gästen, die das Frühstück bezahlt haben: Man kann sehr wohl eine Alternative bieten. Ein Angebot in Form von Zwieback und dem von ihm ohnehin abgepackten Käse, dann vielleicht einen Orangensaft und das Problem wäre gelöst. Auch könnte man vielleicht einen kleinen Zustupf (z.B. Fr. 10 für einen externen Kaffee) anbieten. Das alles könnte man, wenn man ein klein wenig gastfreundlich sein möchte. Einmal und sicher kein zweites Mal in diesem Hotel.

The Rötschberg Hotel was a good price and a very comfortable accommodation. There are 3 windows and they are wide open, so the ventilation is good. Most of all, there was an air conditioner, so I had a cool evening in the 30 degree weather. The room had a mountain view, so it was really nice. The shared kitchen is indoors and outdoors, and has a microwave, various tableware, wooden chopsticks, and a refrigerator. Thanks to that, I ate the retort food I brought from Korea. There is no mini-fridge in the room, and the bathroom is small but not inconvenient. If I come to Interlaken, I want to stay here again.

Interlaken is a beautiful, quaint little town and the Stella hotel is in a great location close to the Interlaken West train station and near the landing field for paragliding, both of which were great for us. Our room had a stunning view of the mountains! The breakfast was so good with fresh croissants and fruit and a self serve omelette station and espresso machine as well as bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. The breakfast room is lovely and Jean, the food manager on most days we were there, is a gem. So attentive and sweet. Astrid at the front desk was helpful too. My husband used the small workout area and pool which has glass all around with a lovely view. Our main disappointments were with our room. Though spacious, it was very dated with exposed metal rods supporting shelving and random furniture and an old lamp in the seating area…Not like the website photos. The biggest functional issue is there is no AC. Because it was unseasonably warm for October, we had to leave the glass doors open and could hear all the street noise early in the morning when we were trying to sleep. We requested a fan for white noise (thank you, Astrid) and that helped some. I can’t imagine staying there when it’s warmer. With that said, we were not in our room except to sleep so we still enjoyed all the positives of the food, location and helpful staff.

The rooms are clean and the hostel had all facilities. We stayed with our 2 kids and did cooking in the shared kitchen..the kitchen is so big and all equipments, fridge vessels,towels etc are available..and everything is super clean and neat..dining room was so good and big. the luggage room is very cheap and best.overall enjoyed our stay there and the location is before the bus stop and near to railway station..Happily recommend this hostel to everyone. You have more benefits than a hotel. WE can see the peaks from our room..

We had an exceptional experience staying at this hotel. It’s new, it’s beautiful, the breakfast was great, the bar was wonderful. Located right at the train station making access super easy. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful. Being a new hotel, there are some growing pains, but none that we experienced. We stayed in a room on the second floor which faced the train tracks and almost never heard the train. Recommend the hotel without hesitation.
