I really like the environment of Shiqiao Village, it feels like a paradise. I don’t want to get up when I lie on the bed of the homestay. The floor-to-ceiling windows directly see the beautiful scenery outside. You can experience the nearby hole-in-the-hole paper making. After finishing the paper, you can go to the nearby paper street and maze Miao Village. It’s no problem to play here for two days.

We regretted visiting Danzhai, as it's really nothing special at all (if you're looking for a genuine minority village, this is not the place...) and the entire town smells like burning trash. However, this hotel was perfectly up to standard -- and if you have to stay in Danzhai, we recommend this place. We got a spacious room, though small bathroom with no barrier between the toilet and shower, but a small enclosed balcony for hanging hand-washed laundry which we appreciated in the middle of our trip. Our queen bed was incredibly comfortable, but the twin bed in our room (we didn't need it) was a different kind of mattress and quite hard. Hotel is almost directly across from the entrance to the ”village” (outdoor shopping area) and has parking right in front. Was a fine place to stay for one night on our way to other places. Very clean and new.
