"The hotel is really few steps away from the subway station! Check in process was also fast and the staff were all nice. Unfortunately, the hotel restaurant was closed during Spring Festival but over-all, the hotel is good. Recommended especially for solo travellers like me who only stays at night and roam around the city during the day time. 👍 The heating is also great!"

"We booked 2 rooms here. Excellent reception staff who are always friendly, cheerful, respectful and very helpful to us. They are efficient in check in & out without a hitch. Great staff and clean, spacious rooms and central location accessible to transport & places of interest. Great that they are able to store our luggage till our return from Dun Huang. "The hotel is located in the Old Street commercial district. Finding parking was a bit of a hassle, but if you call the front desk beforehand, their directions are very clear. I had forgotten my contact lens solution and couldn't buy any since I arrived late. When I asked the front desk for help, they surprisingly lent me their personal solution to use! Huge appreciation for their kindness and excellent service. The beef noodles at breakfast were delicious, although other options were somewhat limited. The overall environment of the hotel is pleasant, and despite its location in a busy commercial area, the room was quiet and undisturbed. There are many convenient dining options nearby; I recommend trying the 'Kang Guo Yang Rou' (pot-stewed lamb)."

"Convenient location near the station and very clean rooms. The staff were wonderfully attentive. Although I understand Chinese, they kindly used a translation app to provide information in Japanese once they knew my nationality. Very thoughtful and highly recommended."

"Location: The hotel is ideally situated right next to Lanzhou West Station. We arrived from Lanzhou Station, a taxi ride of about 12km costing 24 RMB. Since we got in late (after 10 PM) and had an early high-speed train departure the next morning (around 9 AM), we specifically booked a hotel near West Station. The immediate area isn't much to write home about, with limited options for exploring, but its unbeatable proximity to the station and the fantastic complimentary drop-off service were huge positives. For our 9 AM train, the hotel arranged a pick-up at 8:30 AM to take us to the station, which we were extremely satisfied with. Cleanliness: Excellent; everything looked very new and well-maintained. Facilities: The room featured smart home controls throughout, and our child particularly enjoyed interacting with Xiao Du (the smart speaker). Service: Exceptional. Every staff member greeted us with a warm smile, and they even offered us extra bottles of water as we checked out. The beef noodles served for breakfast were also delicious."

"Facilities: You need to swipe your card for the elevator, which is very safe, but not very soundproof. Hygiene: Very clean, the bed is very comfortable, and there is no smell when entering the door Environment: Very close to Lanzhou West Railway Station. The heating is sufficient when entering. The room is a bit small but adequate. Service: The best thing is the service. Everyone has a smile on their face, they are very kind and considerate. They even gave us water when we left, and the bags are also very strong."

"The hotel fulfilled all requirements I have for a base from where I can explore the sights in and around town. The only strange thing, which I didn't count to much was, that I ordered the room with breakfast (at least does the check-in voucher from trip say, that I get a breakfast) but there was no breakfast. I asked at the reception, where breakfast is and they said, in the entrance room of the hotel some thing (I don't remember what) is offered. There are some nice places to sit, but the only thing I saw was, that you could make some tea. Since I left on the first day early to visit Binblingsi, I didn't see whether other guests had their breakfast there, the next day I saw nobody. Despite I am a westerner I usually like the chinese type of breakfast at chinese hotels, so I eat the same like the chinese guests and don't need western breakfast when on holidays in China."

"The hotel in not the Mercure hotel and is abusing the name in the English version of the posting in Trip.com. There is no sign on the hotel shovin the Mercure name which makes difficult to identify it, also because the entrance is definitely nothing like a Mercure hotel would show. A couple of block down the street there is a hotel with big Mercure sign. I can guess this one got in trouble and now nowhere shows the brand name apart than in the catchy post on Trip, and the reception denies that they are the Mercure. Apart of that the place is a chimney only suitable for heavy smokers and smoke preservation. I had to go through a number of rooms to get one where I could try to breath without choking. It is obvious that any smoke detection system is permanently disabled and therefore the place is at extremely high risk of fire. Apart of this the place is underpriced for a legitimate Mercure hotel, but largely overpriced for the nearly 2 stars place they are. Despite the troubles, the personnel did their best to maintain a good level of service and tried their best to accommodate, including offering free cancellation."

"I don't know why they call it a ”designer hotel” when they have such bad design. No place to hang towels in bathroom, the sink is so badly designed it leaked water all over, the light switches are silly and badly labeled. Also the smell is strange, they need more ventilation. The reception has a ”bar” but has no drinks? Also the location isn't good, cars can't pull up to door, and the ”old city” is a fake/new shopping street, very boring area. Have to take taxi to get downtown..."

Cost-effective, stay here next time! The location is excellent, the decoration is luxurious and the view is wide. Attentive service and courteous staff. Advanced facilities, TV HD LCD. Experience comfort, it is recommended! The scenery is good and the bed opening service is distinctive. The small ornaments are designed with an atmosphere and the room is clean and tidy. The fresh air system is well ventilated to avoid mosquito bites."
