It's right near the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and only a 20-minute drive to the Wangtianshu Scenic Area (the front desk lady was so kind to let me know there's a weekend market going on there—you can ride a shared electric bus to experience the unique local night market life). You can even see Dai villages along the way. The location is perfect! After waiting for half an hour with no one to respond, I realized the hotel offered a pick-up service and quickly contacted the hotel through the booking process. The driver was incredibly friendly!) The hotel room was even bigger than I expected! Over 30 square meters was plenty comfortable! The tropical decor, large windows, and cleanliness were topped off! The disposable bath towels were especially impressive: individually sealed, thick, and lint-free.
