The heating in the room and radiator in the shower was not working, we found a bunch of hair in the shower.. The receptionist with red hair told us that everything will be fixed in 2 hours, but after more than 5 hours we found just radiator in the room. Heating was not fixed.. I want to say big thank you to young receptionist (if I remember well hes name is Daniel) he did very profesional work, manage everything very well to make us happy, changed the room where everything was perfect.

The hotel is situated very close to the Republic Square. Everything is within walking distance, and if considered to far.... just take tram 15 that stops nearly at the doorstep and gets you to the bottom of the Prague Castle-walk. You can change there for tram 22 or 23 that takes you up the hill, to the Caste back door and or to Loreta (and stay away from the crowd). Palladium shopping centre is next door to the hotel, nice terraces and restaurants are in close vicinity. The rooms are a bit out of date, but they are spacious and clean, the windows can open and the airco is very adequate. The beds are good, the staf is friendly and breakfast, although not top notch, has excellent cappucino and more than enough choise. Be aware that end of breakfast time, means that the buffet will be immediately emptied ! Special appreciation for hospitable and capable receptionist Valentine who gave us very useful information and advise. To us he scored a 10 out of 10.

The location of the hotel is very good, very close to the most famous attraction Charles Bridge, 2 to 3 minutes walk. It is not far from other attractions and can be reached on foot. Crossing the Charles Bridge is the old town. Prague Castle is on this side of the town.
We booked the best room in the hotel, it is a delicate suite, very large, the inner room is a bedroom, the outer room is a living room, a sofa set, wardrobe, writing desk, etc. The wooden furniture is also classic. The toilet is independent, not in the suite, in short it is a luxury suite.
To be honest, the breakfast was so-so, with less content, croissants, cheese, cold milk, boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt. It can only be considered full, not good. Prague is a place suitable for footsteps, not for driving. I did not find a parking space in the hotel.
In addition, the elevator was so small that it was crowded when three people entered. There are more Chinese in this hotel.

The first is breakfast, very good, I am very used to eating, these days I feel a lot fat, haha. There are bread, bacon, eggs, cheese, various cereal milk, yogurt, fruit and so on. Favorite bread and milk. Although not in the city center, it is very convenient to take the bus and subway. The price of accommodation is not expensive.

We enjoyed our 3 nights at the Julian. The Hotel is a 15 - 20 min walk from the main attractions, which is fine, but the river, a Jazz club, the Cat Cafe and a few other restaurants within 5 mins. The breakfast is decent. The service is helpful, in particular Michaela was very good. The decor is old school with character. The room we had was very nice with high ceilings and pleasant decor. The hotel is good value for money. A few things to mention. The mattress was very firm and yet sagged in the middle. The bath has a high side so anybody with slightly restricted mobility might struggle to clamber over. Our room was on the front third floor. You do hear the road so if you are a light sleeper, ask to be situated at the rear of the hotel or wear ear plugs. The spa is very cheap and you have it to yourself which is nice but its not a proper hot tub, just a large bath with jets and the shower isn't great. Nonetheless it was a pleasant hour after a long day of walking. The hotel is quite dark and there was a smell of open fire the whole time(some people might like that), but we did go in the middle of Winter, I am sure it is very different in Summer. Overall if you like a boutique type hotel slightly away from the action The Julian might suit you.

The location is great! You can walk around very concentratedly. Very friendly breakfast staff. The room is very clean. The only downside is that the lady at the front desk recommends parking for 25 Euros per day, and you can park on the opposite side for 20 Euros. Not bad, but I think it's really annoying. She recommended a restaurant to us and we went there for dinner around 9pm. This restaurant is called Nostalge. I think if I don’t want to pay the bill, it will only mean BAR, because the device is said to have no reception desk, and we never came to pay because we were late. The waiter cashed our Euros and gave us very poor ones briefly. I have grilled camembert, my husband ordered schnitzel, I have water, my husband has Pilsner (small), we paid 34 euros in total! So be careful of these restaurants, they are all liars! For hotels, if you are not sure what makes the restaurant staff unsatisfied, it is not recommended. We went there because she recommended it.
My conclusion is that except for the restaurant you recommended to us, everything else is good.

The location is very good, located in the city center, the surrounding traffic I remember is very convenient, within 5 minutes walk from the subway station. The hotel compares the door on the side, there should be a sign to find.
The service is very professional, follow the process, and print a letter to me including the wifi password. I don’t understand why I need my address and postcode. Is this the Czech hotel? (First time in Czech)
The room was clean and met my needs. And gave me a loft location, with two resting skylights that can be opened, and the air is very circulating and comfortable when opening the windows.
The facilities are the facilities of the general express hotel, anyway, enough for daily use, not pursuing high quality. My room includes breakfast, but unfortunately I had to catch the plane early the next morning, and I didn't have time to eat. It was a pity.

La Boutique is placed a bit outside the centre of Prague, but within short distance from the channel. Its also a short distance to several pubs, bars, restaurants and also short distance to the tram, which travels all over in Prague. The reception was very service minded and its always someone there to guide you. We had a room on the 4th floor, big, nice room with good beds and a big bathroom. We felt the room was very comfy. The breakfast is simple but more than enough in the morning, and the food was tasty. They dont have any transport service for the airport, but we got a taxi both ways, between 650 and 800 chk. When we wanted to see Prague we either took a tram (22) or we walked down to the channel and from there over some of the bridges. We enjoyed our stay here.

GGuest UserThis hotel is in the historic town centre near Wenceslas Square and Mustek Metro Station which connects to all places in Prague. Although centrally situated and within walking distance to tram, bars, restaurants and shops, it is an extremely quiet hotel. The welcome we had was so warm and welcoming, different to other hotels I have stayed in, there is water and sweets in the area and a lovely Gentleman at the door who gave us a warm welcome not just the first day but always had a friendly smile for us every day and the reception staff are very helpful, especially the young lady who helped us to get to the airport. We stayed on the second floor number 123 which had a huge bed, beautiful linen and plush pillows with cushions too, it was decorated lovely and had a fridge, air con and coffee machine. The bathroom was big and plenty of hot water and shampoo, shower gel, etc. which was replaced throughout our stay. The whole of the hotel is spotless clean, well so is Prague. The breakfast, well nobody could complain about it as it had something for even the fussiest of eaters. There was fruit juices, water, coffee, an assortment of teas, detox drink, cereals, fruit, cakes, different kinds of bread and rolls, cooked assortment and cold assortment with the most gorgeous cheese I have ever tasted. Croissants, small and large with chocolate and jams and lots of different fresh fruit, tinned fruit, yoghurts and a lovely pot with different layers of chocolate, fruit and yoghurt. Amazing breakfast, my niece is going to Prague and I have told her to stay at this hotel as it just hits all spots for me.

GGuest UserA friend I spent 4 nights at this hotel whilst visiting another friend and seeing the sights in Prague. In terms of location, the hotel is a little out of the main centre (15 min walk approx). However it still feels very central due to how large Prague is and sprawls out. The hotel is not dated but doesn’t seem particularly modern either. It has a very simplistic feel. Staff are polite in the reception upon arrival. It has a very small lobby area with seating, vending machines and toilets hidden away. This area could get crowded easily. The rooms themselves are basic. They are clean and tidy, have decent beds, a small desk and a wardrobe. Numerous charging sockets are available which is nice and there is a TV. Unfortunately, there is no safe or mini fridge which did feel like a small hindrance. The bathroom is not spacious but is once again clean and tidy. Towels are replenished daily and small toiletries are provided. The hotel offers breakfast which was included within our booking. The breakfast is very basic. Cereals, fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheese and some boiled eggs is all it has to offer. However, the coffee and drinks machines were in good working order and the staff worked hard. Overall, this hotel offers a simple, easy and affordable stay in Prague. You get what you pay for but I was satisfied with the overall value. The additions of a safe, mini fridge and a more comprehensive breakfast would pay dividends though.

GGuest UserFirst impressions of the hotel were good despite the hotel looking shabby as it claims to be 4 star the reception staff were very welcoming during check in, however everything went downhill from there. My room was not ready by check in so I was told to wait and the reception staff I had to deal with subsequently was very unprofessional and patronising, answering a phone call and talking for 10 minutes in the middle of issuing my room keys leaving me standing there despite me telling him I was tired from the journey. The hotel corridor leading to the rooms looked grim and depressing. Surprisingly on the plus side, rooms were much nicer and clean. On the other hand, no toiletries were provided despite being claiming to be a 4 star hotel. The hand wash/shower gel/shampoo seemed to be the same liquid and the only toiletry provided. The bed frame was undoubtedly a double but made up with two single mattresses which doesn’t make much sense. Everything else in the room was decent. The facilities the hotel were subpar as well, the gym was full of old rusty equipment, whilst not the best gym it is better than a lot of hotel “gyms”. The pool however, was closed due to “technical reasons” is what it said on the notice, very convenient. The room-keeping staff on checkout day were very unprofessional, barging into the room without knocking from 8AM and following up a couple more times, despite door being chained locked. Overall, my experience at this hotel was lacking for what I consider to be 4 stars, from the staff and rooms to the amenities and facilities, I would not return.

Downside to rooms, lack of plug sockets - Kettle has a short lead and difficult to find where to plug in. Not enough bed pillows. That said, we did not ask reception for more. They did not replenish the tea/coffee during stay. Only the milks.
We could only find one plug socket. We found a further two sockets behind the bedside cabinets. We plugged our charger in only for this to burn out one night and the electricity went out and due to the new evening receptionist she was unable to turn it back on until she was relived in the morning. The receptionist though was ever so helpful and tried her best to help. We also received an apology in the morning.
I have a bad back and found that there was no where to sit in the room with back support only a backless stool and ottoman.
All that said we enjoyed our stay. Was very happy with our choice of hotel. We did not book breakfast and there’s lots of choice for breakfast towards IP pavalova. The Deminka restaurant that is shown in the hotel as the lounge bar - apparently is not connected to the hotel (ownership different) but would recommend. Good food reasonably priced and staff are very friendly and helpful. Also popular with locals too which is a good sign and has great history attached to the restaurant.

JJTSydneyThis is my first time in Prague and this is one expensive hotel (but I guess it's like this for all hotels in Prague). Location wise, it's is a walkable 15 minutes to the main train station or the metro station is only a few mintues away. The staff are really helpful. They helped planned my day's sightseeing! There are a few restaurants nearby but most still require about a 5 to 10 minute walk.
The room itself is very clean, spacious and come with all the usual amenities. I have some issues with getting hot water for showering on one of the day which was fixed quite promptly but I think the hot water is only satisfactory hot (and not like boiling hot). I stayed during the winter months so the AC in the room don't work. The building is centrally heated and the temperature adjustment is against the wall. It took me two days to figure this out though the temperature in my room was okay (so it doesn't really matter).
Overall, my stay has been pleasant and I will likely stay here again next time I'm in Prague (and I will be back. Prague is such a beautiful city). I'm hoping next time I won't need to fork out an arm and a leg to stay here.

GGuest UserLocation is great, but a big confusing to get to. The large sign outside of the building doesn’t actually say the hostel name (A plus). It says something else. The woman that checked me in and out was friendly and welcoming.
I stayed in a “private” room but the toilets and showers were still shared, which was one of the purposes of me getting a private room…. This wasn’t made clear before booking.
The floors were not cleaned, and my room was not cleaned in the second day (I stayed two nights). The toilets and showers were ok, but should be cleaned. When I was there, they weren’t “dirty”, but didn’t look like they’d been cleaned in quite a while.
The common area was just a bunch of tables and chairs and there wasn’t much socializing going on. When I walked in, there’s was one guy who was taking a nap. That was it. There is a cool old-school elevator that works from the first floor, which is fun.
Not sure why my room was as expensive as it was considering I could have stayed in an actual hotel for relatively the same price. Overall this wasn’t a bad place to stay, but definitely not worth the price.
