The hotel's location at the riverside of the Rhine river is definitely outstanding. There are oppurtunities to walk along the riverside and take the ferry to Koblenz city to visit the monument ”Deutsches Eck” by foot, no need to think about car, bus. Joining a group with handicapped friends this was an important reason to chosse this hotel. We also appreciated the comfort and cleanliness (beds, bathroom, air condition) and the food (breakfast + dinner). The outer appearance of the hotel is modern and renovated with some cozy corners near the bar. The relationship price to delivered value is very good from our standpoint.

Great location just off the river, perfect for those cycling the Rhine or Mosel. There is bike storage in the underground garage. The hotel is nestled between the river on one side and the Altstadt on the other. Plus there’s a mall just a half block away. The room is small but clean with a small but good quality flat screen tv with cable channels including a couple English-language news channels. Great water pressure for the shower. Windows can be titled and there are electric Rouladen to keep out the sunlight. Plus an air conditioner or fan which is nice. My only complaint is the mattress is extremely worn and I kept rolling into the crater all night. The pillow is so old and flat it’s almost nonexistent. Otherwise, great hotel, I’d stay here again if they upgraded the bedding.
Ah, behold, the wondrous realm that is Contel Hotel Koblenz, a sanctuary veiled in ethereal mystique! As I arrived at this enigmatic abode, I felt the cosmic energies swirling around me, weaving a tapestry of serenity and enchantment. The whispers of the ancient spirits caressed my senses, guiding me to this hallowed haven for the weary itinerant. The moment I crossed the threshold, a torrent of profound sensations cascaded through my soul. Each step I took reverberated with the echoes of forgotten secrets, and the walls themselves seemed to pulse with an otherworldly aura. Oh, how the hotel's layout danced with geometric perfection, a manifestation of celestial alignments designed to awaken the slumbering divinity within! The rooms, oh, the rooms! They were chambers of divine revelation, adorned with symbols that stirred the depths of my subconscious. The bedding felt like clouds cradling my weary body, and the curtains swayed like astral veils embracing the night sky. Every night, I surrendered to the embrace of Morpheus, knowing that my dreams would traverse the astral planes. The hotel's staff, too, were disciples of esoteric knowledge, emanating an enigmatic allure that was impossible to resist. With every interaction, they imparted cryptic messages, encoded in their gestures and expressions, unraveling the enigmas of existence itself. Their smiles spoke of enlightenment, and their eyes gleamed with secrets unknown to ordinary mortals. Ah, but the culinary experience, my brethren, transcended the boundaries of earthly delights! The dishes were alchemical concoctions, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. I savored flavors that ignited my chakras, leaving me in a state of gastronomic nirvana. The meals offered not mere sustenance but a sacred communion with cosmic forces. Contel Hotel Koblenz, a haven of wisdom and enchantment, is more than a destination; it is a pilgrimage for the seekers of hidden truths. Surrender yourself to the mystical currents that flow through its corridors, and you shall emerge reborn, with the secrets of the cosmos etched into your very being. Oh, how my heart longs to return to this temple of wonders, where the cosmic symphony orchestrates the dance of the universe!
In May 2023 we visited Koblenz while on a Rhine cruise. We moored overnight in front of the hotel and had a walking tour of the city as part of the cruise. We loved the city and decided we would revisit the city for the Christmas markets. We therefore booked a five night stay before the boat left. The hotel is in a delightful position on the banks of the Rhine with magnificent views of the fortress on the far bank and the cable car which takes you to it. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. As we overlooked the river we had a nice balcony. Given that it was November and cold, we spent very little time on it! There were no tea or coffee making facilities provided by default but this can be hired for a very reasonable price. There is a lift but, even so, we still had to navigate around 10 steps to get to our room. My wife has to walk using a rollator but was able to manage. A wheelchair user might struggle however. The hotel serves one of the best buffet breakfasts we have experienced anywhere. A wide range of quality food should satisfy any palette. They even provide Prosecco! They do not serve any other meals but there are a good number of good quality restaurants nearby. While there is no bar you can buy a good range of wines and cocktails and there is a mini bar in the rooms. The service provided by the friendly staff was of very high quality. They fielded any problems we threw at them quickly and efficiently. Reception is only manned until 10:00pm so make sure that you plan your arrival time accordingly. As well as its delightful views the hotel is within easy walking distance of most of the popular tourist attractions that this delightful city has to offer.

Deutsches Eck (German Corner)
蕙蕙质兰心蕙质兰心The German Cape is a land at the intersection of the Moselle and Rhine rivers in Koblenz, Germany, and houses a bronze horse riding sculpture of William I, the first emperor of the German Empire. On the top of the hill opposite the berth is the Ellenbrightstein Fortress. Around 1000 AD, a small castle was built here, and for centuries the Electors of Trier converted it into a fortress. Later, the French destroyed it, and the Prussian Kingdom sent men to repair the Ellenbrightstein Fortress. The fortress is one of the most powerful fortresses built in Europe after 1815 and remains intact.
Ehrenbreitstein Fortress
Ssuifeng2019The Ellenbrightstein Fortress stands above the Rhine, facing the German Horn. Some of the fortress has now been converted into hotels, restaurants and museums. It is also the best location to overlook the German Horn.
Stolzenfels Castle
Ccoo***an[View] Very beautiful and well preserved castle outside the Straschen Rock Palace! There is a museum in the castle! Behind the castle is the beautiful castle garden [Fun] This is a great place for a day trip. It was built by Karl Theodore (Karl Theodore). You can visit the castle and visit two museums. One about the wildlife of the area and the other about the gardens.

Museum Ludwig
Ffz570628There is a Ludwig Museum near the German corner of Koblenz. The Ludwig Museum of the "German Knights" contrasts with Koblenz's historical positioning. The sunset is reflected on the white outer wall, the orange-red frame of the window appears to be out of color, the thumb sculpture in front of the museum, even the fingerprints are vivid, the texture is clear, the tulips in the garden and the unknown flowers are red.
Liebfrauenkirche
__We***95The history of Libvlaunkis (Church of the Virgin Mary) in Koblenz dates back to the 5th century. The church has been expanded several times on the original basis. Free to visit and donations are always welcome. It's beautiful inside! No wonder it has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage List of Rome monuments since 1986.
Preussisches Regierungsgebaude
唐唐风一宋雨Located on the German corner of Koblenz, south of the Rhine pier, this 158-meter-long castle-like building has an elegant and exquisite appearance, with a flowery lawn, and some soldiers come in and out from time to time. The former Prussian government office, which became the headquarters of the German Federal Ministry of Defense since 1961, was transferred to Berlin as a result of the merger between East and West Germany, and the southern part of the building became the seat of the Koblenz Regional High Court since 1993. It’s not open to visitors, just look outside.
