"First of all, the people at this inn are incredibly kind. That alone is enough to make me recommend it, but I'll go into more detail. After booking, we communicated with them via WhatsApp. They responded quickly whenever I needed help or a request, which was very reassuring. I rated the location as average, but that's because it's a little far from Aswan city, so you'll need to take a taxi. However, you can find it using the local app InDrive, and they'll even help you arrange a ride if you ask. The breakfast was also delicious, and I looked forward to it every morning. 🥞 Guests were given the opportunity to take a free tour of Nubian Village, where we learned Arabic and Nubian numerals and visited a traditional home where they kept crocodiles—a truly valuable and enjoyable experience."

"Wonderful service - guard and porter at the front, efficient front desk, upgraded to a Nile room. Pool side was great with a view of the Nile, plenty of chairs and fresh towels,  although bar staff sometimes a little slow on drink and food refills this could be forgiven Buffet breakfast had a good selection including eggs made to order, staff very attentive Dinner selection was OK but again great service "

"We had to extend our stay to three nights as our cruise dates were changed. The manager was so kind and offered us an upgrade. I’m truly grateful for that because the view from our room was amazing. It’s pretty hot during the day, so we stayed indoor during the day and went out later on in the afternoon. The only downside of the hotel is its distance from downtown Aswan. There are no stores or shops close by, so do plan your meals ahead of time or you can have lunch or dinner at the rooftop of the hotel. The entrance of the hotel is kind of hidden. You need to walk down a set of steep stairs to get into the building, then to a different floor to check in. The room had everything we needed for the stay. It’s quite spacious and had a fridge, TV and and big closet. There is a bathtub in the bathroom but the shower area doesn’t have a door. The AC works great and kept us nice and cool. We had breakfast everyday, and the content is pretty similar to all other Egyptian hotels but it’ll keep you full if you finish everything. If you don’t like the hustle bustle near the center of Aswan and don’t mind the walk or taking cab, this would be a good option for a quiet, peaceful stay with a great view of the Nile."

"Absolutely a five-star review! Located diagonally opposite the Old Falls Hotel, the terrace offers stunning views, and the owner is incredibly friendly and responsible! Two things stand out: First, around 2 AM, I texted the owner to arrange a ferry to the other side at 3 AM, and he replied within two minutes, having already made arrangements! Second, my sister left her pearl necklace on the public terrace while enjoying the Nile River view the previous evening, and the next morning we found it neatly arranged! Truly honest and kind! The following evening, we witnessed a local Luwak wedding – a joyous and authentic traditional experience, a delightful surprise!"

"It was really great! Choosing the right hotel for this trip was a huge plus! The hotel's location is super convenient, just a 5-minute walk to the subway station, and surrounded by shopping and dining options. The room was clean and tidy with no unpleasant odors, the bedding was soft and comfortable against the skin, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a good night's sleep. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, making check-in and check-out quick, and they even proactively recommended some lesser-known local attractions. The breakfast selection was plentiful, with hot dishes, snacks, and fruits—all delicious. The facilities were well-maintained, the shower water pressure and temperature were just right, and the attention to detail was impressive. It's excellent value for money, and I'll definitely stay here again next time!"

"We had a nice stay, the Housekeeping staff are excellent. Towels in the bathroom need to get rid because it is old. Back of the bathroom door is a bit old and not cleaned. guest relation Christine was not helpful until I called reception and asked about her name. Reception staff need to be welcoming and friendly. Our TV didn’t have a signal since arrival, I had to call reception every day a few times to sort it out. It worked sometimes but was frustrating loosing signal while watching TV and have to ask reception to help. When it happened in the morning, I had to wait until 3pm when maintenance arrive. Also the screen was blurry. We had very good service in the restaurant .  the boat service is very good."

"I booked it temporarily because of the change in the itinerary. Tolip is a chain of five-star hotels in Egypt. Although the decoration style and facilities are relatively old, it is already considered good in the local area. The price is also very cost-effective. There are rooms with Nile views. It is only a one-minute walk away. It is very good."

"The scenery is beautiful. We checked in very late and took a boat to see the lights of the entire island. It was really beautiful. The room and surrounding facilities were not old. There are also many beautiful cats in the hotel restaurant. I felt relaxed as soon as I entered the island. The scenery was even more beautiful in the morning. The terrace of the room faced the Temple of Philae. I regretted that my stay was too short and I didn’t enjoy it properly. I highly recommend everyone to stay here. But please note that there is a construction site expansion nearby, so it may be noisy, but I believe the scenery will be more beautiful after the renovation. "

"A very good value hotel! Upon check-in, they consider the dryness of guests and offer three drinks: one with isatis root, one with plum flavor, and one with a sweet and sour flavor that's incredibly delicious. After check-in, a driver will drive you to your room. I had originally thought that the nicer hotels in Aswan were expensive, so I planned to book a more modest hotel to make do with my visit to Abu Simbel the next day. However, this hotel far exceeded my expectations. The scenery is stunning, with direct views of the Nile. Since we had to go to Abu Simbel early that morning and couldn't have breakfast, the front desk staff prepared a takeout breakfast for us. The only downside is that it's about a 20-minute drive from the city center."

"After seeing so many negative reviews, I booked this hotel with some trepidation. I'd like to say, the hotel wasn't as bad as the negative reviews suggested; on the contrary, it was quite good overall. First, the location: perched on a hilltop next to the Old Falls, offering a commanding view of both the Falls and the Nile. The hotel has two swimming pools: a larger one in the Old Basma and a smaller one at the top of the hill, which is where I booked the Basam Executive Club. The smaller one is quite small, but thankfully, it's high up and offers a great view. Secondly, the rooms seemed renovated, and the furniture and amenities weren't outdated. Upon arrival, I was even upgraded to a suite, which had a large terrace, a living room, a sofa, and a bar. It was spacious and very comfortable for two people. Finally, the service: the staff were very friendly. Although some didn't speak English, they were always willing to help, or call someone who did. They didn't ask for tips for luggage, etc. The room was clean, and they even provided welcome fruit and snacks. Overall, it was a very good experience."
