I often go to Baeza and this is the first time I stay in this hotel I don't agree with other criticisms about the hotel meetings of the patio there is no cafeteria I've got it out of the claustrol The large room decorated as your name indicates a 18th century palace friendly reception staff no very quiet problem the street is pedestrian and in the very comfortable center to visit everything recommending a night walk around the wonderful cathedral the only failure that I find it very scarce breakfast toasted coffee and juice in the surroundings there are cafeteria with all typical sweets of the area but it deserves to visit that hotel
I stayed at this hotel with my parents and husband. My husband and I had the smaller room which had a slightly unpleasant smell from the bathroom (which needed some tlc as the sealant was coming away in the shower and the glass panel wasn't keeping the water in). My parents room didn't seem to have this problem at all. For the price it is a good hotel in a nice location with decent service but nothing amazing. The breakfast was just below average (not a lot of choice and quality of a few things could have been better). On weekends it can also be very noisy (despite seeming like it is on a quiet street there are a lot of people walking around and the windows don't keep out the noise!).
Despite being rated #1 manage your expectations. Location is very central and walking distance to restaurants and sites is good. If you arrive by car, streets are narrow and you may or may not be able to get all the way in to offload or load luggage easily. Unless you ask in advance, your driver may not know there is a back way to get to hotel and unload luggage. Do not expect porter service either. Service is below average at check-in and helpfulness. In the 6 months I’ve visited 7 cities in Spain, this was the first hotel I encountered nonchalant, unhelpful reception. No welcome, no help with luggage, we had to wait until they turned their attention to us to get proper check in process. While the hotel and grounds are charming, from the moment we stepped in to check in, the charm was lost from the front line reception team who, beyond checking our reservation and details, didn’t put any effort to offer any further basic information. The only two staff members that smiled to greet guests seemed to be the maintenance man and the lady who was in charge of breakfast and was happy to assist. Rooms are clean, and simple. However, our safe did not work, and some other items seemed to need repair or refresh. Breakfast buffet very average. So for what it is advertised as, a top hotel in Baeza versus reality, it’s better to manage and lower your expectations. Many budget or modest hotels have better service. We stayed one night and that was more than enough.

Big hotel, former convent, smack in the middle of the medieval town of Baeza. Reception people: friendly, helpful. Rooms are reasonably big, slightly outdated and definately worn. Bathrooms are fine. The corridors are long ( former convent, indeed) and echo every footstep - very audibly. The breakfast is good and varied, the breakfast room, the lobby, the restaurant and the bar are austerely furnished, without a trace of homeliness or cozyness. This place caters mainly to big (bus-) travelgroups - and obviously no one expects you to stay more than one more night. The wifi system is a disaster. It is wholly inadequate in capacity and speed for such a big place. It hardly works, and it has not worked well for quite some time now ( we were told by a staff member) Read the older comments on Tripadvisor: this has been going on for some time now. Listen to your clients, please. A system upgrade is a relatively small investment. For now, you get one dot only from us because of poor client orientation.
Reserve from April 28 to May 1st. I had to cancel for personal problems and did it on April 26 at 10:28 a.m. , on your website you made my reservation cancelled , I said everything was right. They never sent me any email communicating the The hotel is a hotel with a very good location and a very good location. I contacted the hotel and at first they could not give me a reply coherente.Como I made photos when I cancelled , I sent them and soon after they answered that they had arrived on day 26 at 23.20 , which could have been a fall the Internet . We talked to the director several times , for a possible solution , since we had thought to travel to Baeza later , and told me it was impossible The funny thing about the matter is that the charge by the hotel to my card was the same day 26 at 10:40 of The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. I returned to talk to the director who, for the post that has little empathy and much soberbia , because I told her that they had lying , had a bad treat.
We went to the end of July and the price was improving, nothing q blame for what we paid (EUR 42 night), comfortable, central air worked properly, something indispensable for Baeza in full heat wave, the chekin with very easy codes, Everything quite new and well decorated, the magnetophone to record psychophonies from the outlet of being has no price, for putting one but it was not having pears and it comes light in the morning, but I say, very recommendable to the general style of the Baeza hostels that are very pleasant in a chulish village,

First the positives: good location; on a quiet street; nice staff; fast WiFi which worked on the terrace; nice seating area downstairs. The hotel sent me a text, before arrival, with 4 parking options. But: I was surprised that a four star hotel would not have a safe nor a fridge in the room. There is quite a bit of black mould in the shower. Like a lot of Spanish hotels, it advertises that it has air-conditioning, but it doesn’t really mean that. Not in early/mid April anyway. The room was at 25 degrees when we arrived. Reception adjusted something but it only brought the temperature down to 22 degrees and that seemed to take hours.
