El hotel me encanta es acogedor y por hablar de las habitaciones son gigantescas son como si fueran de un apartamento la comida no es muy variada pero la q hay está muy rica la lejanía del hotel a la playa es mucha si no tienes coche difícil de bajar a la playa por lo demás el hotel genial la piscina bastante amplia con muchísimas hamacas y camas balinesas la única pega q nos tocó en una habitación donde a las 1 de la mañana en la zona de las camas balinesas y zona de relax había niños molestando y gritando mientras intentaba dormir pero bueno por lo demás excelente hotel

We stayed here for a week with my family. The hotel is nice but the bathrooms need an upgrade. They are very old and traditional. The hotel was quiet as the Al Nasir football team was also staying there and took up a lot of the hotel, which was nice for us. When they left (which was 1 day before we left), it got much busier and made a difference. The breakfast is ok but not great. The staff were nice and friendly. The pool area was nice but you have to go to the bar to order food and drinks. There is a free a shuttle bus, which takes you to and from Puerto Banus and Marbella old town, which was great. We used it daily to get around. Would recommend the hotel.

Quite a disappointment. staff on reception is not very helpful, was in a hurry during check in, didn't provide us information about facilities of the hotel or even about breakfast. As a returning customer and Discovery member I was expecting some nice Junior Suite but instead of it we received interconnected room with some other people with just one thin door between us. So, no privacy at all for our romantic vacation with my my wife. After complaining on reception, they gave us regular room, but it was the smallest Junior suite above terrace and restaurants. So we heard noise until 2 o'clock in the morning. So, to be the loyal guest of ANANTARA doesn't pay out as I understood. Generally speaking, hotel is very noisy due to specific construction of the main building. Staff near the pool is better than on reception but again not trained for five star hotel. We were at the Beach club only once because it definitely needs big improvements starting from old cheap sunbeds, towels and finishing with the staff. So we will choose other hotel and chain next time

Having read previous reviews, I did not have high expectations but I found the hotel to be absolutely fine, breakfast was plentiful, the pizzas were delicious and the drinks were cheap. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable and the pool area was one of the best I have been to. Staff were polite and helpful especially the young man serving in the bar area during the day. Its worth taking a trip down to the seafront at Estepona where there are many lovely restaurants to enjoy, cost us about 25 euros in a taxi that the hotel reception kindly called for us.

Paid for club premium suite as per the picture on their website. Four poster bed, lovely terrace for our wedding anniversary. What we got was no four poster bed, the smallest terrace I have ever seen. You practically have to climb on the table to get to the chair it is that small. In fact the superior rooms which are not suites have bigger terraces / balconies. When we complained we were promised a suite change to the 4th floor (bigger suites) on our 2nd day. We told the hotel we would be out for the day and not back until 9:30pm. They told us the room would be available. When we got back to the hotel they had given it to someone else, no apology, just “nothing we can do as not available”. Appalling customer service. Club premium suites are not the same as the pictures on their website and as they vary in size. The website is very misleading and this suite is not as advertised. Suites also give you the use of a “premium” pool which only has 8 sun loungers (not enough) and is certainly not “premium” by any standard. We are still here for another 3 days but would not recommend this hotel, they are very disorganised and the customer service requires significant improvement. Pictures attached for comparison.

It has been a wonderful stay at General! One thing I did not like, that when I arrived I had a photocopy of my credit card in front and behind. It would have been enough ahead and the truth, it is very delicate that the card numbers go around there in sight ..... Otherwise at reception, both day and afternoon the phenomenal treatment. Special attention to the people of the Bar who have always been attentive to the welfare of the client, having incredible details when one day I arrived late and did not know that the snack was closed and they provided me with dinner even after being closed. This was very much appreciated! Thank you very much to all !!

I chose this hotel because it is close to my friend's home. The interior decoration of the room is traditional and standard, with everything you need, including a bathtub. The room is quite spacious, including a deep balcony, which overlooks the swimming pool. There are many lounge chairs and palm trees around the pool, as well as some hammocks. Many foreigners go there early in the morning to take a seat and bask in the sun. The hotel's SPA and indoor swimming pool are also open to the public, and are charged to guests. It seems to be less than 20 euros, which is not expensive. If you don't buy the hotel's breakfast before checking in, it's 22 euros per serving. There are many choices. In addition to the lettuce, cheese and ham that most breakfasts have, there are butterfly cakes, carrot cakes, croissants, which taste good, as well as duck liver pate and fresh caviar. The kitchen can also make Benedict eggs, which are presented at a pretty good level, and the coffee tastes average. I also ordered lunch once, which was salmon with vegetables. The salmon was medium done, which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The kitchen also sent an appetizer with a high appearance value, plus a 3 euro bottle of water, the total was about 20 euros, which was very satisfactory. The only thing I was not satisfied with was that I wanted to delay the check-out for a while on the day, but the front desk told me that it would cost 22 Euros for 2 hours, and their tone was very blunt. In the end, they at least reluctantly agreed to let me extend it for 30 minutes.
