Stayed here for a few days to try and experience some of the coral coast, and do shark snorkelling. I'll start with the good: Scenery: very pretty, lovely view out to the sea, gorgeous greenery surrounding the rooms and the seating area. The seating was great and you could really relax in the hammocks next to the beach. Food: we both quite liked the food, varied, vegetarian options, felt fresh and relatively inexpensive. Drinks: good array, nice and cold, decently priced. Room: very nice, clean, amazing outdoor bathroom, comfortable bed, aircon/fan if you need it. The not so good: My main issue (and the reason I've not given a higher rating) is due to the activities. Unfortunately, despite being there 3 days we didn't manage a single activity. The communication around it was very poor - no one would know if there was anything on, you would have to ask the activities staff multiple times to get an answer, and they were often hard to find. The only activity we could have participated in was catch and cook. The daily yoga does go ahead as advertised too. One day was completely booked up with a big tour group - but this wasn't communicated to anyone the day before, and the board advertised activities as usual. Would have organised something else if we'd had known. We spoke to a couple of people who had similar issues. The advertised activities on the website was one our main reasons for coming, so it was quite unfortunate we were unable to make use of this at all. There are some kayaks etc, but we found we were unable to use these - the one day we tried they got locked away due to low tide, and told to come and get them in half an hour when the tide was up. Came back again and no one was around, no one had the keys and reception/management didn't know either. Luckily you can just snorkel off the beach (if you have your own snorkel), you can see some pretty cool fish but be careful as there was some sea urchins. We found the staff fine, if sometimes a bit unhelpful. Some other things to know: The beach is quite shallow and dramatically changes based on the tide, not a con but you may not be able to fully swim depending on the tide. In summary: great place to relax, chill, read, drink, eat for a few days, but if you were keen on getting out and about (day trips to the islands, snorkelling elsewhere etc), then either book somewhere else or make alternate plans.
This is not up to standard with a 5-star resort. Overall it’s a nice stay, but overpriced and don’t go expecting 5-star luxury. It unfortunately has not kept up with the maintenance it has needed over the years.
Negatives
- had aircon issues and slept without aircon, they moved us rooms to fix this
- had a leak above our shower in both tooms
- fridge was broken in both rooms
- lack of pool towels for number of guests, tried getting a pool towel on multiple occasions to be told they were out. When we eventually got some they were stained.
- lack of snorkle gear for guests, we unfortunately couldn’t snorkle because they were always out. We spoke to other guests who went and bought some because they couldn’t get any either
- aircon in rooms is very loud
- internet access drops out constantly
- we couldn’t watch tv as the internet was down for netflix on the tv and we were told we could only watch it on phones or ipads
- food menus in the room are dirty and falling apart
Positives
- most of the staff is really friendly
- adults only pool is calm and quiet
- good assortment of activities and things to do in the hotel
- staff is mostly helpful when you need things
We actually tried to refund the end of our stay so we could leave. I wouldn’t recommend it to people and just know if you do stay here it is more like a 3 to 4 star resort.
Where do you start. Greeted us with sincerity and had bn upgraded. The Bures were beautiful, everything you need. But could have used a bigger fridge .Gardens were immaculate. Staff were amazing, kind, genuinely friendly. Went out of their way to know our names. At dinner we were welcomed with their welcome song. We stayed twice. We had already booked our timeshare for our second week and were very sad to leave. All the staff came together to sing Fijis good bye song ‘Isa Lei’ which brought tears to our eyes. Only spent three nights at our timeshare and rang Crusoes to say we were coming back. They welcomed us back with open arms. Snorkeling was great. Activities were pre organized for the next day. We loved every moment and we will def be coming back next year. We made lifelong friends

Easy fast check in. We were met at our car by Sue who lead us immediately to our room. We stayed in the private pool suite. Room was clean with everything required in there. The private pool and courtyard are an amazing feature and well maintained for the middle of a jungle. Beautiful untouched and quiet white sand beach with crystal clear waters. Great deck by the beach to lounge and watch the world go by. We had the perfect start to each day by walking along the sands. The village 50m down the beach is welcoming and Mary gives a good traditional massage in her beach side hut. Although at first glance the restaurant menu looks rather simple; however every single dish was done to perfection. The chef (Nacanieli) prepares meals with the most brilliant balance of flavours from a simple base. You can taste everything. We were WOW'd by every meal and cannot give him enough compliments. Scooby gave great friendly service and some awesome conversation. Only recommendation is that you stock up on insect repellent as the resort is in the middle of a lush nature reserve so the inevitable wildlife is around. If you are looking for a private couples retreat to escape the world we could not recommend Wellesley highly enough.
Great included breakfast and internet, friendly staff, the room was clean and well equipped. The location is a bit far away from Denarau for day trips but we had hired a car so we were able to explore the Coral Coast instead. Popular resort with families, pool can get a bit crowded. Perhaps would benefit from a separate adults only pool. The resort grounds are beautiful and really well kept. We found the drinks to be a bit pricey and the cocktail list not very good, would have liked to see more classic cocktails. Overall we had a good time, though I'm not sure I would book this resort again for a couples holiday.

Well the staff and people are all to accomodating. Lovely people , helpful and try very hard. Friendly and do their best. Rooms are dated and need maintenance, they were half empty so perfect time to do a room at a time. The bed has been turned around from the side of the room to the middle. Good outlook , but now no PowerPoints to charge phones etc. light switch you have to get out of bed to switch lights off at front door now. Configuration is out of whack. These need doing asap. No toilet roll holder. Just screw holes where it was originally. After complaining they fitting one. Shower head needed to move around to get wet. There are pack of dogs that frequent back of the resort. My first night I arrived 12 midnight. Dogs yelped and barked to 2am from what I know because I finally fell asleep. I told them about it. Seemed like they had some workers chase them away for a few nights. But there was 2 more nights the barking happened again. So 3 out of 6 night. Breakfast was good. But no bacon 3 days out of 6. Not on. Money exchange rate was awful. 1 to 1.30 Fiji. I actually went to resort up the road 1 to 1.42 , the taxi through the hotel was 30 Fiji dollars dearer than the rest. Example went to ghecko resort for dinner. 60 Fiji return trip taxi I booked. Hotel wanted 100. Need a profit but not accomodating guest very well. Booked outside all transport. Dinner was good assortment. But went out few times. Better cuisine outside. No wifi in the rooms or resort unless you go to the front reception area. Big drama. Heard numerous people saying this is ridiculous and checked out early. One couple booked in. Went to there room. Ask at reception where’s the wifi. Told only available here in reception. They said check us out now. We are going elsewhere. Could be a lovely resort. Staff workers are all there. Area and position is good. Just need management to get their stuff together. First is wifi immediately and then rooms maintenance
