We stayed at this establishment on a self-guided bicycle tour of the Bordeaux area. Hands down the best meals of our trip (two dinners, two breakfasts) as well as friendly and helpful service from the proprietors. Our room was clean; two windows with a view of the Chateau! Safe storage for our bicycles. The dining terrace was spacious and beautiful. There's a pool too, although we did not get a chance to use it. The village of Duras is fun to explore. Again, though, the real prize here is the amicability and generosity of the hosts.

Hotel tranquil with view of the golf. The room is large, pleasant and clean. The bathroom is functional. Grand work plan to put all toiletries. The room has a balcony that is common with the other rooms. Only a small wooden barrier separates them. No possibility of having a little intimacy. We were disturbed by neighbors who played noisyly with cards. The floor is clearly clear, which is also disturbing. You follow the conversation of the neighbors below without wanting it. It would be a greater thing to review the balcony. We were also disturbed by a breathtaking noise. I called the reception but I didn't have any return. The staff were very helpful and the staff were very helpful and the staff were very helpful. The room is very high and it reasons enormously. Otherwise the buffet is well garnished. We have dined 3 times at the Vigiers bistro. Good kitchen, very pleasant staff but a little noisy room. nice golf. Hotel to be restored.

My wife and I opted for a two course evening meal . We made the booking on the recommendation from the Tourist office in town, that the restaurant provided good traditional French dishes with excellent fish dish options ( important as we are pescatarian). I enjoyed a well Cooked sea bream dish with grilled vegetables and a cream sauce . My wife opted for a lentil based burger which to be fair was pretty heavy going but good fries to accompany. I enjoyed a lovely apple tart for dessert and my wife had an equally good nougat based dish to follow . The host was very welcoming which was a real plus point . I read somewhere that the restaurant whist providing good food did lack some ambiance and I would agree with this . The room was rather sterile in its decor with too many cold feeling lights to create an intimate atmosphere for evening dining . But overall a good choice restaurant .
When transitting France we nearly always choose Campanile. The rooms are basic but comfortable and pretty much the same whichever one you choose. For us the benefit of these is that you can always park, and always get a meal and wine in the restaurant in the evening and breakfast, both at additional cost. So we were beyond shocked to discover the restaurant here is closed at weekends! This did not seem to be apparent on the website so had we known we may have chosen a different destination for an overnight stop. Especially after a four hour drive! There are places to eat nearby but the Buffalo Grill, despite being open all day had no one dining at 5:30 or when we walked past again at 6:30. For a Saturday we were surprised and went to the nearby Chinese buffet instead which was really busy and did great good. Only a 5 minute walk across the road( opposite KFC) The guy on staff at the Campanile spoke good English and was really really helpful. Merci Senor, Gracias Monsieur ( he will understand!🤣) We got food! The beer pump wasn’t working, which is common in Campanile’s we have been to so it’s bottled beer but they were running low on some of those too. Breakfast is pretty standard in all the ones we’ve been to. Cereal, croissants, toast, pastries, cheese and ham etc. This one cost around €12. On the plus side, the air con worked which was not so at the Campanile we used the previous night. I’m sure during week days this might be a better experience but on this occasion for us, thinking we knew what to expect, it wasn’t a good experience.
