Let's just say, the person who lives in this hotel must look at Fontainebleau. From this point of view, it is an excellent or even the only choice. The hotel is 20 meters from the entrance to the underground parking lot. It is very convenient to travel, and there are places to eat nearby. The location did not say. The only problem, the hotel is very old, the wallpaper reminds me of Shining
Renting a car in Paris for an hour and a half to Fontainebleau, the hotel is still a little away from the Fontainebleau Palace. Fortunately, you can park for free, the hotel is clean, the breakfast is good, and there is a mini pool. The Fontainebleau Palace is really beautiful, and the Fontainebleau Forest and the Painter Village should not be missed.
So when we arrived by car we were insulted in the streets by other cars because there is no ”voiturier ” service despite at the reception the Ladies were chating without clients .. strange inpression for a 4 stars hotel .. may be some Customer care training to be needed .. then quite a cold welcome at the recoetion and a complicated way to go to the room with the luggage the Bar .. Also in the room no nespresso machine no shelves in the bathroom to put our stuff .. the Bar man ,friendly is helping to get so far a good impression .. lets see tomorrow

The rooms are relatively small, but very new and clean. The bed is also very comfortable. Although there is no kettle in the room, the hot water machine in the hotel restaurant can heat water at any time.
The front desk staff of the hotel are young and very warm and friendly.
A 3-minute walk from the Palace of Fontainebleau. We did not order breakfast. Breakfast was 9 Euros. We went to the additional bakery Paul to have breakfast. In fact, it's not expensive to eat in the hotel.
Self-driving parking at the hotel is 10 Euros a day, and additional public parking is also available. We parked in the public parking lot. It’s free on Sunday, but when we left on the last day (Monday), I originally paid the fare, but the toll payment machine suddenly crashed. Then I started to find that the parking ticket didn’t have any charging information. The solution had to be handed in again. Irritating. I strongly suspected that it was bullying foreigners, and I had no problem choosing the French interface after leaving the field once. This time I owed my hand and I chose English, and this was the result.
There is a Chinese restaurant nearby which makes very good beef noodles.
The hotel environment is very good, all kinds of room types are refreshing and distinctive, and the towns are not big, they can't arrive. There is a forest at the back door of the hotel.
My wife and I stayed here for one night to visit the Fontainebleau Palace. We arrived and checked-in via the automated system with no problems at all. A very nice gentelman came out to check up on us and showed us where the parking garage was. We really appreciated the hotel's parking and it was easy for us to unpack our luggage and go right up to our room via the elevator. Our room was big, clean and most importantly in August; cool! The bed was comfortable. The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the palace and this was great for our visit. We had breakfast in the morning, and found it good. The staff was very active and replenishing items for breakfast every few minutes. Highly recommended.
The room is too small, bad litter, earring not worthy of this name. Not isolated at all; all the noises of the street are heard. The bathroom is almost worse. Very demanding and in length. The room was very clean and the room was very clean and the room was very clean. For €9.50, there is nothing to eat, you're gonna take the risers to look at you if you ask another ... Really fly for such a price. You can hardly put the ridiculous piece of bread that you were given ”generously” ... Well located is its only advantage but if you can avoid going there, you will sleep better and eat better at breakfast. The hotel is very good, and it is very good to get the room free for 11H30 at the latest ... And as soon as you arrive, pay ... When you leave without paying ...
I had never stayed at the Ibis before, and the check in experience was quite positive. The room was a bit small but it was quiet and modern and felt nice. However, I discovered early on that there is no kettle in the room and so if you want a cup of tea of coffee you have to go downstairs. The machine is in the dining room but you are not allowed to enter unless it is for breakfast. The door is not locked and there are no signs, but if you enter you rate told off rudely by the very officious staff. Apparently only they can use the machine. I dutifully did what I was told and queued at reception every every to get some hot water for tea. One evening the staff member was not there. I made the mistake of entering the open dining room to get water myself. Suddenly he appeared and demanded rudely that I leave the room immediately. He told me that I had to go to reception. I suggested that he wasn’t there and he told me rudely that he was. In a country of poor customer service, this interaction was special! I have cancelled my next booking and will stay in the Mercure instead. They are really quite nice there. So if you want to sleep in a small room and be watched in case you steal some hot water in a paper cup….best avoided.
The Petite Chateau de Barbizon was amazing! The restored chateau is both modern while retaining its grandeur. Our sleeping room was outstanding, comfortable and quiet. The antique furnishings add to the charm of the chateau. It’s the perfect location if visiting. @chateaufontainebleau or @chateauvlv.
We would like to give more stars because the place is charming, the hotel outdoor (a old hunting cabin) is really nice, but owners should ask some questions about the care and maintenance of the room details. We stayed in the only junior suite. Beautiful. Spacious. Traves with views. Clean room and bathroom. But then... Lamp on the workable comfort, second not working. Coffee machine and sugar-free boiler, inexisting tea bags, only two coffee bags. The boxes were in the box! The outer rollers do not close well. The curtesy sets in the bathroom? Inexisting. The shower is in a pious state, dominates the calcarea. Skies and towels? We had to ask for them. The air conditioning that doesn't work with so much notification on the screen 'necessity of cleaning'. And then, to close the window tent in the roof you must climb on a trailing Louis XV style seat. The tent is not in good condition that must be kept closed with a hook made do it yourself! Breakfast served in the room : a chair and a basket of bread without any kind of center/slaughter... We really travel very much. 4 and 5* are in the standard but we also have 3*. But a care for the unexisting detail as we have never seen it here! It is really a sin because I repeat: the place is charming and it is worth staying there too because Barbizon is delicious and it is worth visiting it. We were disappointed and we will not return!

Fontainebleau Palace
3300***62This place is a distance from the city ~ It takes about an hour to drive, but it is quite quiet. There are few people going, there is no need to queue up, it is very easy to find, we can rest assured to stroll around. 😄
Forest of Fontainebleau
莲莲子99The Fontainebleau Forest is completely open. It is the first place you arrive when you walk out of the train station. There is no one here at all. It feels great to explore it by yourself. The colors are outstanding and the green is very beautiful.
Diana Garden
莲莲子99This is the back garden of the Palace of Fontainebleau. There is a large pond, a bit like Versailles, but more natural. There are fish and geese in the lake. They are very human and will come close to people. It is very beautiful here.
Museum National des Prisons
淼淼淼0301This is the only prison-themed museum in France, and it is great to visit here, mainly showing the 17th to 19th century prison style of France, with a lot of well-preserved prison equipment, prisoners' daily life items, etc. It’s also fun to visit here.
