The rooms are very small, and the garden is untidy and messy, which is a pity. The little girl at the counter is very kind and cute, the chef is very skilled, the breakfast is very sunny, but I have a good meal, there is a big supermarket nearby, freshly squeezed orange juice, meat, and cheese are very delicious. There is also McDonald's next to it🍔

Because we finally decided to go to the Geneva exhibition, we booked a room late. The hotel prices in Geneva have gone up and many of them are unavailable. We had no choice but to choose Annemasse, France, which is nearby, thinking of driving back and forth every day.
I chose Mercure from Ctrip, thinking that it is an Accor brand after all, but the actual living experience and service are really not worthy of a four-star rating (seeing that there are only two reviews below this hotel on Ctrip, I know how niche this place is. However, during my stay, I also met other colleagues who came to the exhibition at the hotel. It seems that everyone is in the same situation and came because there are not many choices)
Environment: It is close to the highway exit and the surroundings are relatively quiet. Even though the hotel room window is close to the road next to it, the sound insulation effect is very good when the window is closed, and almost no noise can be heard. There is an outdoor dining and rest area downstairs. The weather has been nice recently.
Facilities: It seems that European hotels generally do not provide bottled mineral water, but I haven't been abroad for several years. So when the front desk clerk handed us two large paper cups after checking in late at night and said that there was no mineral water in the room and we could get water from the water dispenser next to the elevator, I was still a little confused. So for the few days we stayed, if we wanted to drink room temperature water, we had to come downstairs and get water with a large cup. The key is that if everyone uses paper cups every day, it won't be very environmentally friendly (later we moved to the Marriott at Geneva Airport, where they put a stainless steel kettle in the room for you to get water yourself, and you can take the kettle away as a souvenir)
Facilities: The facilities should be considered quite simple. There were no toiletries and slippers in the room for the first two days, but there were toiletries after changing rooms. My colleague is said to have a bathrobe in the highest level
Service: The service is really average. The service attitude and level of the girls who changed shifts at the front desk during the few days of stay were very different. My colleague sent clothes for dry cleaning, but they were not delivered until a day later. When I asked him about it, he didn't know anything and asked me to pay in advance and not put it on the room account.
The plates left on the floor after meals in other rooms in the corridor were left overnight and sometimes not collected until the next morning.
Although the increase in room rates is understandable because of the exhibition, but think about the room rate of nearly 2,000 per night for such service... As soon as the exhibition ended, I decided to go to Marriott.
The only thing I thought was okay was the breakfast (compared to other facilities), and I also had a dinner in the hotel, which was very large.
I wrote so much, but I can't see the hotel anyway, so I'll leave it for you to avoid (generally, you probably won't go to this place)
The hotel has some good aspects and some less good aspects. First of all the good: The place is pretty clean and if you are travelling through, it's a bed for the night. Breakfast is a reasonable 7.50. Not really a 'fabulous' contiental breakfast, but an OK breakfast with croissants, demi-baguettes, butter, jam, yogurts, orange juice, and of course tea and coffee. And you can have as much as you want, which is obviously a good point if you are hungry in the morning. Check-out time here is etiher 11:30 am or noon, which is great if you arrive late and need to catch up on your sleep in the morning. You can also arrive as early as 1:30 pm, which is also very good. In that case you have to use the self-check-in machine and pay by credit card for your room. So kudos to Kyriad for making better than average check-in / check-out times. The less good: I have come to undetstand that this is a feature of Kyriad hotels, but the rooms are just too small in my view. There is just barely enough room to walk around the bed. And yes I know it's a budget hotel, but look at something like Travelodge, the lowest price chain in the UK. At least there you normally get a reasonably sized room. Of course this is not the individual hotel's fault. The location is possibly good for someone coming in by car, but if you are on foot like I was, then it is about 25 mins by foot. On the way back I discovered a bit of a short cut by taking the small unofficial path next to the overpass (to the right), which will lead you quickly to the big roundabout and to the road which you can follow back into town eventually turning right onto rue du saleve. If you're a budget traveler and looking for an overnight stop, and also taking the above into consideration, then the Kyriad definitely has it's good points. If you're in town to actually visit Annemasse then you might be happier in one of the hotels nearer to the centre.
