Very friendly staff. Eating very good in the restaurant. Rooms large and tasteful. We were on the trip to home from Spain

A lovely small boutique hotel with friendly staff. We parked in their private garage facility down the road and were brought to the hotel via their golf cart along with Petrus the Cocker Spaniel. The rooms are lovely and stylish as is the hotel overall. We slept fantastically well. Lovely pillows and bedding and excellent air conditioning. Very quiet. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and wonderfully presented. There is a wonderful ambience about the place and it smells great too. The gentleman (sorry I didn’t get his name) was helpful in booking a restaurant he recommended. Unfortunately it wasn’t a good meal at Le Dit Vin so maybe they’d like to reconsider recommending here in the future. Shower controls are at the back of the shower which is a bit annoying as you get wet with cold water before getting in but nothing major to complain about. Lovely terrace in the evening to enjoy a glass of wine with a nice vibe and upbeat music. Not keen however on the religious crypt church style music in the morning at breakfast. It was monotonous. A comfortable stay. Thank you.

Conveniently located in the heart of the walled town, just a few metres from the lively square full of bars and restaurants, the Saint-Louis has old-school charm and helpful, friendly staff. It's quiet at night, and there's a very pleasant, shady courtyard garden in which to relax or eat breakfast. Our room was a 'superieure' - not that large but very clean with a modern en suite (with great shower!) and plenty of hanging space. The bed was huge - king-size and comfy, with nice linen and lots of pillows. Air con system could have been more up-to-date and controllable but it did the job. Buffet breakfast is definitely worth the supplement - lots of choice including different cold meats and cheeses, cereals, fruit, freshly squeezed juice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and would readily book again. We got a special direct booking rate; three nights with breakfast and taxe de sejour came in at 450 euros. One small down-side: the centre of this medieval town is pedestrianised (and all the better for it...) so you have to lug cases to and from your car, parked in one of the public car parks outside the walls. However the management reserves a number of car park passes for guests, so parking is free. A small point but worth bearing in mind if frail or with mobility issues.

My stay at this hotel was my gift to myself after receiving a promotion at work, and it was everything I wished for. First of all, it's in a 17th-century building on a quiet street inside the city walls of this extraordinary town. I was lucky to be given a spacious room in the historic part of the hotel. The whole stay was a dream come true. Just a few highlights: the heated pool all to myself, the garden/courtyard with tables and lounging chairs, the special touches like a little bag of cookies and a hand-written note to welcome me, the kind and helpful staff especially Jean-Pierre, the local rosé wine, the expensive soaps, the baroque sitting room with the massive fireplace... I will definitely be back!

Abbiamo soggiornato in camera family per una notte, per spezzare il viaggio di ritorno tra Spagna e Italia. I pro della struttura che mi hanno particolarmente colpito sono la posizione comoda all’autostrada, il parcheggio comodo e gratuito, il personale super accogliente e presente h24 in reception, e le dimensioni generose della camera, arredata in modo moderno e casual. Non ho poi potuto fruire (poiché siamo stati qui solo per la notte) di servizi come il bar/ristorante interno, la piscina e la palestra, che sicuramente avrebbero reso ancor migliore il soggiorno. Tuttavia, a prescindere dall’utilizzo o meno di questi servizi, non posso dare più di 4/5 in quanto la camera Family non è a mio parere del tutto adatta a 4 persone: le poltrone letto sono estremamente scomode (i materassi non risultano pienamente dritti probabilmente perché rimangono piegati per molto tempo, e di conseguenza sono deformati e si finisce per dormire con i piedi più in alto della testa) e rumorose ad ogni minimo movimento e per di più la stanzetta in cui si trovano non è dotata di un reale sistema di condizionamento come presente nella stanza matrimoniale. Insomma questa camera ibrida sfruttabile come suite o come camera quadrupla dall’hotel, finisce per essere certamente inadeguata per questo secondo ruolo. Eppure basterebbe poco, perché già sostituire le scomode poltrone con due veri letti singoli renderebbe la camera decisamente più piacevole, e decisamente più degna della nomea di ”camera family”. Spero che queste considerazioni vengano seriamente considerate dalla direzione, perché per il resto la struttura è veramente strategica e ben gestita. DC
