This hotel is the only hotel in town, so the tourist season is very hot and the price is not cheap. We arrived early in the morning, in the hope we could leave our cases while going to explore! We were welcomed straight away when we walked through the door with a big smile! We instantly felt relaxed. The attention to detail doesn't not go unnoticed from the decor inside and outside to customer care. The staff are a total asset, They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and enjoy our stay. Breakfast had a fab selection of cold or hot options and was delicious 😋 . Dinner at the Crown was divine. (Did not want to share the apple crumble with my partner🤣) Our room had the same cosy wow factor as the rest of the hotel. Little touches like having the pantry and getting fresh milk delivered every morning, all add to charm of Wild Thyme and Honey. Thank you for such a lovely stay. We hope to visit again. Would recommend this hotel to anybody. We stayed in room 23, Watermill!

What can we say, from start to finish it was an absolute experience, upon arrival we where kindly greeted by Steven the General Manager and welcomed warmly, we where taken through a few details of the room and was told to enjoy the mini bar ( not mini will get to that later) he then called over a colleague to assist us to our room, it’s was my husbands birthday and we had a had written note in the room and some other bits to celebrate, the room itself was stunning very large and comfortable bed and very spacious, the bathroom with two sinks for yourself and your partner, a full roll top bathtub, excellent shower and lots of fresh towels, creams, soaps and more, now the “mini bar” it had everything you could want, 6 different spirits, champagne, white wine, rose, soft drinks the low gos on, we had everything, we booked dinner for the evening and had the twice baked soufflé (insane) the mussels for starters and wiped the plates clean, we followed this with two steak dinners, the meat was tender and cooked to perfection can not fault it, our server a young lady was polite, knowledgeable and very friendly, we also had the cocktails peacocks and where fantastic (strawberry cosmos), breakfast in the morning was delicious and that’s when we departed (sadly) we could have stayed a few more nights and will in the future this was a first class treat with first class staff, thank you all for making it a treat and I will highly recommend this to all of my friends if in the area.
