Lovely hotel with attentive and friendly staff. Good price and a set price for a 2 course meal as well. We chose 3 courses and the food was well cooked and presented and plenty of it. Will use the hotel again and happy to recommend to our friends.

We stayed in one of your beautiful rooms - Whitley Neil - last night for a dinner, bed and breakfast getaway and what a brilliant time we had! The food was incredible (stunning flavour and presentation!) the room was warm and so well equipped (you've literally thought of everything from corkscrew to hairdryer!) but most of all we loved the incredible welcome. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived and only wish we could have stayed longer, we both said we're booking two nights next time! Alex there aren't many pub owners like yourself these days, who work so hard alongside the team of staff whilst still lighting up the room with banter and a smile. Hugh is also a huge credit to your pub and hotel. He greeted us with a lovely and friendly manner on arrival and later asked us after dinner, ”Have you been well looked after?” That question summed up our stay. No corny scripted service, just a beautifully genuine experience of great food, great service and a great sleep - what more can you want? Thanks guys, we'll be back!

For the price you pay The Renishaw is definitely value for money. Staff were friendly on arrival and allowed us to check in early. The rooms are a decent size and well equipped, they're a bit rough around the edges but are generally clean and comfortable and do look to have been renovated recently. The walls are quite thin so expect to hear if your neighbours snore loudly and if you're road facing you will hear it though it's not the loudest thing ever. The room was quite warm when I stayed, there is an AC unit but it seems non functioning, a fan was provided but mine was broken and we didn't return for the night till midnight so couldn't do much about it. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows and duvet, a black out blind on the window and a temperature solution would make this place 5/5, again, for the price you pay.
The room /bed great, Other guests the problem, family 5 arrived 12 midnight, back & forth BANGING CAR DOORS each time, then 3.15am their car alarm goes off, night staff phoned her and her reply ”its always doing that” My suggestion you have LARGE notice outside and in rooms (as they doo at airports) Please close you doors silently as others are sleeping 24 hours -- some travelers sleep in late so it applies in day light hours too. Receptionist Katie was very helpful re where we could have breakfast and about voucher, which we bought, good value
We had the most beautiful wedding here on the 28th March 2022. I would highly recommend this venue to any future brides, the day was absolutely perfect from start to finish! Me and my maid of honour checked into the hotel the evening before and all the staff were so helpful, helping us carry things down the reception room and answering the every question I had - there were a lot! We ordered room service the evening before and it arrived hot and fast and was of an excellent quality. I feel it was very reasonably priced for the quality and I was shocked that the portion sizes were so good. I stayed in the Tang both the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding, the room is so beautifully decorated and luxurious. The bed was so comfy I had the best nights sleep - even the night before the wedding which I was surprised at! The morning of the wedding staff checked on me which was very much appreciated to see if there was anything I needed. Special thanks to the receptionists who were absolutely lovely throughout our stay! The wedding ran so smoothly, Charlie who co-ordinated our day was honestly amazing and she always made sure I had everything I needed - including a drink in my hand at all times 😂 Everyone made sure every aspect of the day was taken care of and nothing was too much trouble! The food was absolutely incredible too. The ham hock terrine was of an excellent standard, I didn’t have the braised beef but everyone said it was absolutely incredible and they had never tasted anything like it. I didn’t have the opportunity to eat the buffet but all my guests loved it! We also had the cake of cheese which was a real showpiece - so beautifully presented. Overall, our day was incredible. I’m so glad I chose Aston Hall as our wedding venue and I really wish I could do it all over again!
Great stay. Clean, welcoming and a special thankyou to Clare on reception who was lovely and couldn’t do enough to help. Breakfast was lovely and very reasonably priced. Would recommend. Bed was comfy and mattresses were great, however seemed older and could do with a refresh maybe. Other than that can’t fault it
Although the location is a bit remote, driving and parking are very convenient, the key price is very high, the facilities in the room are ok, and the bed is more comfortable!
My recent stay at Ringwood Hall in Chesterfield was, unfortunately, an absolute disappointment from start to finish. The hotel suffered from poor communication and a noticeable lack of front-of-house staff. For the price, the experience was nowhere near acceptable, with glaringly poor customer service and a complete lack of attention to detail. One of the most misleading aspects was the so-called ”all-inclusive” package. The menu was dismal, with very few options and a steak priced at £30 that was incredibly chewy and unpleasant. Worse still, the menu didn’t change, so the same underwhelming choices were all that was offered. The restaurant staff were clearly overworked, with many of them appearing very young and inexperienced. Although they tried their best, they were simply not equipped to handle the demands of discerning guests. Cleanliness was another major issue. I found old wax earplugs on the floor in my room upon arrival, and despite room service coming in, they were still there afterward. That’s just unacceptable for any hotel, especially one that markets itself as a quality establishment. On top of that, the room itself was freezing cold, and the iron and hairdryer provided were outdated and barely functional. While the property might have a unique charm, the lack of modern facilities was inexcusable. I also experienced an unacceptable delay at dinner. I had booked a table for 6 pm, but wasn’t served until 7:30 pm, with little to no explanation or apology from the staff. All in all, Ringwood Hall fell far below even basic expectations. I would not stay here again and certainly do not recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant or professional experience.
