We attended a celebration afternoon tea at Kilworth last week. It was fantastic; the staff really know their business. The hotel is smart and sophisticated but, at the same time, very warm and welcoming. The most beautiful loos are among the highlights of the gorgeous decor. Our hosts had kept a special surprise for their guests and no-one gave the game away. The afternoon tea was sumptuous, and service both relaxed and attentive. We have been to many country house hotels and this is far and away the nicest. We will be back for a short break soon. I highly recommend you visit Kilworth House Hotel. You won’t be disappointed.

Re Hotel provided for “a national company” the accommodation was unsafe, unfinished and unfit for purpose. To be clear; I have been in the construction industry for 33 years and I am currently the service delivery manager of 16 years with this company, accountable for the Responsive Repairs, maintenance and Voids properties for “a national housing provider”and “a national company” fire compliance work through our other FRA departments & Fire Safety work across the country. The hotel in question Blaby Westfield House Hotel is truly an appalling hotel provided by Agiito web site options. On entering the car park, the front entrance windows blinds were hanging down off the windows, after I parked, the reception was to the side of the building. On entering the reception, I could smell and feel the dust in the air. There were patches of bare plaster on the walls where the walls had been repaired, I understand thing need repairing so I walk to reception and gave my reservation. I was greeted by the reception person who took my reservation and informed there was no breakfast as the chief was on holiday (I was informed at the time of booking there was no breakfast) therefore I asked is the chief back next week? to which the recreationist stated, ”we don’t know he has been gone a long time”. So now I am thinking what?? I continued my booking and received room number 102 which is situated in the main house building above the front entrance. After walking up and around several corridors through several fire doors which I guarantee are not certified under fire regulations (I am fully versed in the requirements for fire doors and fire safety of buildings). As I walked to my room again around another small corridor the hard-wired fire alarm had a yellow empty tile grouting bucket on the floor as I focused on the bucket, I then realised water was running into the bucket as I looked up it was running out of the fire alarm sensor into the bucket!!! I returned downstairs and informed the receptionist who said, ” Yes it’s the water tank in the loft is leaking the man was meant to fix it last week but it’s still leak, and he hasn't returned yet.” Therefore, there has been no working fire alarm at this hotel for over a week!!! Another breach of Fire Regulations and hotel safety regulations. I asked so when is the Fire Alarms going to be fixed? and the receptionist shrugged his shoulders and stated “I don’t know”!!! The appalling condition and false advertising of this hotel doesn't stop at the complete failure of all Hotel fire Safety Regulations. I was sent to the bar while the receptionist went to get what I can only assume was the manager, I was asked could I go down the ground floor corridor to the bar / restraint area. I walked down the corridor as requested to find myself in the front reception bar/restaurant area, yes where the blind are hanging off the windows, once on the inside looked like a building site!!! Very good hotel, clean and tidy, free and convenient parking, not too far from the city center, just outside the city, breakfast in the morning is also very good, very worthy hotel

Visited a few of the pubs in Lutterworth during our brief stay. This was the best of the bunch . Called in after dinner on Tuesday 22/6 and was served by a really friendly guy (sorry, forgot name but it was Jack or Jane or similar maybe). He was very chatty and helpful and a credit to himself and the establishment. Best selection of ales, gins and scotch in the town without a doubt. Lovely outside space too. Wish it hadn't been our last night when we found it!

We were prepared for college dorm rooms. But this hotel has transitioned nicely from its beginnings. I'd recommend getting a room with 2 beds if you are a couple, as they are small. The bathroom is very sizable. The only, minor, downside is if you have a heavy bag (50+lbs), there is no elevator. So you will be hauling it up the stairs. We would definitely stay here again.

Well. After many years if enjoying a Sunday lunch at the three swans this is the 2nd disappointing visit in the last month .Can only comment on my recent as previous was my wife & her mother who were very annoyed at the slow service.Sadly this visit was the same.Firstly on arrival we had to wait for someone to notice we were waiting to be seated although staff walked by us. Ok not a big issue so we were shown to our table which had not been cleaned properly as i could see food crumbs on the table from previous customers. It took 15 minutes + to be offered a drink & the table next to us who sat after us were offered before . The food was nice however when you have a Sunday lunch you tend to expect a vegetable selection not just 3 tiny carrots. & 2 skinny parsnips not greens . Again food as good -but we then sat for 20 minutes will empty glasses & plates before eventually being offered desserts .Can only say that the fact staff walked past us many times & seemed more observant the people sitting outside - we decided wed probably wait way too long for desert so decided no further drink or desert . You have not enough staff & too much competition to let you standard go.

Most things about this apartment are great - easy access, right next to a supermarket, clean and spacious room. Nice communal area and kitchen with breakfast food and coffee machine. The person at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Wifi worked well. Was notified that housekeeping is every 4 days. Easy 10 minutes on the bus from Leicester station/city centre. I would recommend bringing noise-cancelling headphones if you are a light sleeper. It is next to a busy road and the walls are VERY thin. I was kept up on several nights by the person in the next room snoring, shouting over the phone at 6am, and listening to loud music throughout the night. Not the hotel’s fault and hopefully not a fixture, but given the other reviews, bring headphones!
