Fantastic location for all the bars, yet quiet
our room was spacious with a corner window , for some reason an extra bed, a small settee type chair, full tea and coffee and kettle, a small but perfect fridge , large bathroom with shower
tbh we were very impressed as we'd only paid £65 which was almost 20 quid cheaper than booking.com and included breakfast
if we are ever in Wake again we would stay here for sure

My two sisters and I ( all of very mature years) spent an overnight spa break at this lovely hotel. Our room was excellent - lots of space with a roomy en suite . The beds were very comfortable. The views from the windows were amazing - over the lovely lakeside and park estate. The facilities are very good - swimming pool with sauna and steam-room plus jacuzzi. The spa treatments were good. Our evening meal was great ( particularly the fish pie) as was the full breakfast next morning. The final word is about the staff . Brilliant. Nothing too much trouble. Manager Chris ensured we were able to check in early and special thanks go to him . Other reception staff and those in Charlie’s bar were also excellent .

Excellent hotel the staff were helpful and attentive. Very clean room with air conditioning which was needed as it was a very hot day, with tea making facilities and even biscuits as a kind gesture. Would recommend staying here and will no doubt book in again. Bar had a range of beers and a good selection of draughts as well as spirits available to choose from. There was ample parking round the back of the hotel. Just don't forget to put your vehicle registration at check in.
All in all a good stay.

I Have stayed at this hotel and will not be making the mistake of going for a third time. The customers only care about themselves and no one else. There was shouting from the area outside used for people to drink. After that stopped when customers were walking to their rooms on floor 2 they were very loud indeed. I lost count of the times this happened and the number of times I was woken up. I am not sure but someone might have been sick on the carpet outside the rooms . They could not give a fig for anyone else not with them.
Although checking was good I asked for an alarm call at 6am I am still waiting.

On Friday 8th July, we were booked for three nights at the Campinile Wakefield. We have stayed at this hotel before & whilst it's not the best, it's handy for work stayovers. Arriving on the Friday night (8th), We immediately noticed that a lot of Motor bikes were parked up in the hotel car park, not an issue apart from the fact the bikes were all occupying car bays which I felt was totally inconsiderate & we were lucky to get a space. More annoyingly, the back end of the car park was closed off for no visible reason which was ridiculous when the hotel was so busy. We collected our keys which was after 2100hrs, taking the first flight of outdoor stairs, we noticed large groups of males all over the walk ways, talking loud, smoking & shouting. Once in our room, showered & unpacked , we could clearly hear the noise from outside on the walkway below. We rang reception twice this night, the noise was unacceptable, their security came over twice. So onto the saturday night, again returning from work after 2100hrs these groups of males again outside shouting, smoking & watching stuff on their laptops. Another of our friends who was staying over, went to reception to complain, the receptionist said Security would come over, the noise continued and when we went to see what was happening, unbelievably, the Security were stood with the males, all watching a boxing match on a laptop, laughing & carrying on, when asked why the house was still going on, we were told there was only a few rounds left, not acceptable from security. We've never experienced anything like it, absolutely disgusting and no consideration for anyone else in the hotel. Returning on the Sunday evening, we noticed the males were using the closed off area of the car park to play football. No idea what goes on at this hotel but it's a disgrace and I guarantee they have lost our custom. Would we recommend this hotel, 100% NO.

We stayed for two nights, but it was not an experience we will be repeating. The room had been renovated recently, by the look of it - it was well decorated with a nice carpet, although that had stains in several places. The beds were comfortable, but the room was very hot even with the heating off (in February). We couldn't open the window to help, though, as it is only about 20 meters from the M62. The bathroom had also been refurbed, but there was a patch in the ceiling where water had leaked through, leaving a big brown patch and some missing plaster. There was black mould in the shower cubicle - particularly in the corner, but also on the grouting where it had obviously not been cleaned properly. There was no working extractor fan - the vent was full of cobwebs, so it had not been working for some time. We arrived a few minutes early, but couldn't check in until reception opened at 3pm - it closed again at 6. We went to our room, to find that there was only one tiny (2cm high) bottle of shower gel in the bathroom, and no hand soap at all, so went to reception to ask. We were given two sachets of gel, and a small bar of soap. We enquired about breakfast (the website stated it was included) - and were told they didn't really do breakfast, but could provide a tray with pastries etc if we wanted it. We said we did, then left. On returning later that night, we found a tray containing milk, two portions of cornflakes, two wrapped, stale, croissants and two crumpets (there was nothing to heat them with). The second night, there was no breakfast left for us. When we arrived back, the room had been 'serviced'. The beds had been made and the bin emptied, but the bathroom was untouched (bin not emptied, no more shower gel). The dirty cups and glasses were left from breakfast. Reception was closed, and we didn't see anyone before we left the following morning to complain to. Looking around, we could have had a room in a Ramada nearby for a lot less - we wish we had.

Zzy5617jsjsandal castle Located in wakefield, it is the main battlefield in the north of the rose war in 1460. The broken and remnant walls left behind show the strength of the war in that year, and the sunset is not lost. Visited in April, it was just as rape blossomed, so beautiful ☀☁
MM43***62Travelled approx 10 miles to visit the park. Nice enough park to walk round and nice aviary and lakeside walk.Unfortunately had to leave because of lack of toilet facilities. The only toilets were in the cafe and were closed to the public but open for take away foodat over inflated prices (£4.50 for a toastie) couldn't afford anything else.I'm sure cafes etc use covid as an excuse to close toilets and save them the bother of cleaning them etc. I believe if the cafe is open the toilets should be open otherwise shut the cafe as well. My local park at Batley has a better value nicer cafe with excellent toilet facilities and is only take away. It's simply a cop out. Will be going back to Batley in future.
