We have recently returned from our first stay at the Hotel Aenos, Argostoli, Kefalonia. What a wonderful experience!! We were warmly welcomed at reception by a charming and delightful Kate who explained all about the hotel services. Our room was spotlessly clean and well appointed with constant air conditioning available. Breakfast service was buffet style and offered a comprehensive range of cereal, fruit, bread and sweet and savoury pastry choices. In addition there were hot offerings of sausage, bacon and various egg options. Beverages were made by the lovely Maria who greeted us cheerily each morning. She was ably assisted by Marinela and Lefteris. No request was ever too much trouble and the aim was clearly to please and deliver a good experience. The location is ideal next to the town's main square that is bordered by a huge variety of restaurants , tavernas and shops. So much to see and do in easy walking distance around the town, we found the position ideal. All in all we felt valued and were well looked after. Rooms were serviced to an excellent standard every day. We loved our stay and shall return. We'll done Mr Metaxas and your wonderful team.

Fabulous adults only hotel with great views over the bay,we were upgraded to a premium room and it was lovely with a balcony, spacious room and a couple of bottles of water provided free every day.Breakfast was very good with a vast choice of fruit, yoghurt, toast and pastries as well as the old English favourites of bacon, eggs, tomatoes, beans etc, there was enough seats inside and out on the balcony and plenty of people serving to make breakfast a lovely experience. The pools and outside space are well cared for and clean. lots of sunbeds, even though you still got the people who put towels down and then went out for the day and didn't come back until about 4pm, made my blood boil !!!!!. There was not enough beds with shades over them (also you could not move the shades so some were useless and offered no shade at all) so this bed saving did annoy me, we managed to get beds with shade everyday but some people could not get a bed with shade. The outside bar and also the cocktail bar were pretty expensive for drinks compared to the cost of drinks on the main strip.The only negative is that there is a hill up to the main street where all the restaurants are, it wasn't an easy climb with the heat in August, this wouldn't put me off going again. All in all a fabulous hotel and look forward to going back in 2025. The one thing the hotel is missing is a shower room for when you have an afternoon or later flight home, you must vacate your room at 11am but there is nowhere to shower before leaving,and as the hotel was fully booked it was not good not being able to change/shower before leaving.
