We were a group of 6 lads, 4 of which stayed at Happy Days, and the other two staying at a nearby hotel around a 5-10 minute walk away. Upon arriving, we were told we had to pay 72 euros each which was a mix of air conditioning fees, safe fees and a 20 euro deposit. This wasn't much of a surprise though as we had read the reviews before arriving. One of us did lose our deposit due to a nose bleed staining the bed sheets during the night, but since the bed sheets would need to be replaced we found this fair enough. We were then given a warm welcoming from the owners, with a few rules for our stay and some general advice as to how to make sure our holiday was the best it could be. We were told that during our stay at the hotel, we would be treated as part of the Happy Days family, and this was absolutely the case for us. I got the feeling as though if you treated the hotel, the owners and staff with respect, you would get along just fine and again, this was very much the case. The hotel was situated in the Malia Old Town where lots of locals lived, so it absolutely made sense to us that late at night, they would want noise to be kept to a minimum if possible. Up to around midnight, a good party and laugh was absolutely no problem, as the owners understood that most people were there for a party holiday. From early in our holiday, all of the staff at the hotel made a real effort to get to know us, and vice versa, making each day and night a great time. We were even invited to celebrate one of the bar staff (Princess's) birthday with her, which was a pleasure, and also a great laugh. We got involved in Karaoke on another night which was another great occasion. Out of all of the staff, Princess in particular was absolutely fantastic. As busy as she was each night, she had a great sense of humour and really made the effort with me and my mates to get along with us and ensured that we would have a good time. By the end of the holiday, I barely needed to ask for another drink, she made sure there was another beer ready! The owners were also always nearby and would join in having a laugh with us. Having two friends visiting from outside of the hotel was also not an issue during the day and evening. They made sure to introduce themselves to the hotel staff early on and explained that they would be spending most of their time here, and were also welcomed as if they were family. We were told no guests from outside the hotel at night time, but they stayed at their own hotel at night so this was no issue. The music playlist that was on by the pool during the day was great and the two swimming pools were both of a good size so there was plenty of space for everyone. The food at the hotel was also good, with plenty of other food options down the road if you fancied something different. The ***** itself was around a 10-15 minute walk away but we quickly got used to where to go. All in all, we had a fantastic time at Happy Days. The hotel owners made a po
