Wonderful hotel in an idyllic, serene location with a spectacular view. Easy access to the monastaries. Exceptional aspects include the garden seating, buffet breakfast, and kind service. The breakfast is all made in house, most with fresh fruit and olives from their grounds. Loved the home made yogurt and spanakopita. No elevator and somewhat smaller room as minor negatives. Overall love the kindness of the staff, beautiful grounds, outstanding breakfast, and location near the monasteries. Highest recommendation.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. For us this was a disappointment. On the plus side this hotel is very close to the Meteora monasteries and also a 5 minute walk from the centre of Kastraki. On the pictures this hotel looks great but in real it’s very basic. We booked a Meteora view room with it’s own balcony overlooking the rocks but the only thing we were able to see were very high trees (see pictures). The room itself was small en very basic also. The bathroom was extremely small (see picture). The remote control of the air-conditioning was broken so we changed it with the one from the next door room which worked better. The breakfast offered in the hallway was very poor. Terrible coffee, some slices of bread with some cheese and sausage. The staff was OK but not very friendly or helpful. There was no information available about the Meteora monasteries. No maps, no information, nothing. This was very disappointing for an hotel which main business is hosting visitors from all over the world who are here for visiting these monasteries. This hotel was not worth the money we paid for the room (about 95 Euro per night).

I would recommend this place very much! It is immaculate as far as the cleanliness is concerned. The views are astonishing and the owner is very kind and nice and has always a smile on her face. Her husband is also very nice. They prepare your food (be it breakfast or lunch, for instance) precisely when you are about to have it. The food is home-made and delicious. So is the bread. ;) Besides, it is very clear the monasteries. A very big thank you from Northern Spain! :)

I rate it 5 plus! We had the best time here! Free street parking. The views from the hotel of the tall geological rock formations are beyond belief! Christina, the receptionist, is marvelous! She was helpful and very caring and genuinely interested in our tour of the monasteries and happy we enjoyed it all. The breakfast buffet is exceptional; the hotel is located near some local tavernas and the hotel itself has an excellent European restaurant. The rooms are large and immaculate. You can walk to orthodox churches and then drive to the six rock top monasteries which began to be built in the 12th century. It is a privilege to climb the steps to each monastery. THIS hotel is the best choice!
This B&B is situated right amongst the Meteora Rocks, providing a spot of color to the stark, awesome landscape with its red and yellow building, its green lawn and its owner’s lovely flowers. We enjoyed our spacious apartments with comfortable beds, ensuite bathrooms and kitchenettes. Our suite had a small balcony but you don’t need one as the garden, with seats and tables have the best view. The host family is friendly and hospitable, we really enjoyed their good services and delicious breakfast. We got this accommodation through VisitMeteora but it can be booked independently or through ***********. Also recommend a walk up from Kalambaka town as the views are astounding, although the walk is steep.
To all Israelis: I booked a night at the hotel for the 25th of October, without the possibility of cancellation, and the money was paid....for understandable reasons in light of what is happening in Israel these days, I contacted the hotel and asked, in light of the situation, to cancel the reservation and give me the money...I immediately received an encouraging and supportive reply from the hotel A clear statement that the hotel will cancel the reservation and reward me.....for me the hotel is recommended without having been there for the simple reason that we all learned that first of all we need to be human beings...Thank you to the hotel management and there is no doubt that in the near future I will get to stay with you.
Hotel Kastraki has the old charm. We had a nice and comfortable stay there. The staff gave us Meteora map and described each monastery and viewpoint, how to get there, etc. Everybody at Hotel Kastraki were friendly and always smiling. We booked a triple room. It’s got a balcony. The bed was comfortable. Towels and pillows were fresh and clean all the time. The bathroom is a little bit old and needing an upgrade though. I have never seen a hotel where floor is carefully washed each time. The cleaning lady did an amazing job. My husband walked with white socks in the hotel room, bathroom and balcony and socks had no trace of dirt at all, still very white. The breakfast was good. Everything we needed to start the day. We’re satisfied. There’s free parking in front of the hotel.

GGuest UserDuring DANA Daniel, we were en route through Greece and our destination was Meteora. The weather conditions to reach our destination forced us to make a detour of approximately 500 km, so we were delayed about 8 hours. We arrived at the hotel very tired and the attention we received was exquisite. I explain this to justify my opinion, which may be a bit subjective, even though I write it a month after the fact. The rooms are correct, the breakfast abundant and varied, and the reception staff fantastic. Their help when returning to Athens allowed us to shorten the return trip by more than 4 hours. I think it is a good hotel to get closer to appreciating the beauty of Meteora.

燃燃烧生命的小胖妞The idiom "Sky Pavilion" is probably known to everyone, but witnessing the sky church with your own eyes may not be possible, even for tourists who have been to Greece. Chinese tourists are more likely to board the island of Creek or hang on the Aegean Sea, and the Meteora Monastery in the central hinterland of Greece. Few Chinese tourists visit. "Meteora" in Greek means "hanging in the air", which is the difference between many of Meteora's monasteries.
乖乖小咪Medeliola's viewing platform is condescending and can be recaptured, and the beauty of the entire Medeliola. The view here is very wide. Several monasteries on the top of Medeliola are clearly visible. It is an excellent viewing location and is very suitable for taking pictures.
1137***66The monastery was named after its founder, the ascetic monastery Varam, and is famous. It was abandoned for two hundred years, and it was preserved until two wealthy monastery refinanced its transformation. A suspension bridge between two boulders was erected to enter the monastery. Before entering, the lady had to surround the square cloth provided by the monastery and make the skirt. The small courtyard was exquisite and beautiful, and the sun changed its dreamy color on the simple window glass. Here I saw the monk for the first time. It happened that the craftsman was working, and you could see that the walls of the Byzantine building were built like this.
帅帅气的好孩Located on the top of the cliff, the view from a distance is very spectacular. But it feels normal to go in and see. It is said that the mural is very valuable, but we feel that the color is dim, the expression is dull, and the feeling is very depressing.
