GGuest UserOuf, what a hidden gem! The bungalows at Purwa Ijen are top-notch, offering an amazing value for money. It is located in a super authentic, small and peaceful village with beautiful views and lush vegetation (besides all the rice fields). Our highlight was the breakfast, where we got the best smoothie bowl on our whole trip through Indonesia. The Ijen tour (500K) was also an unbeatable price. Transfer to the Bali ferry for 200K was also affordable. We especially loved the spacious bathroom and the comfy terrace with jungle and ricefield view. IMHO Purwa Ijen is one of the best value accommodation you can find in the Ijen area, highly recommended. WiFi also worked like a breeze.
JJoyjourney_88When i planned to go to Banyuwangi…:i am eyeing this hotel so much….it is always full booked….till I got chance to have stayxation here
.
I love this hotel…..the surrounding is very nice and has lots of facility….the staff is kind and friendly….all we need are provided fast and the information is very clear….
.
Thank dialoog….will come back here again….
SSteven DowsonGood location halfway between the port/train station and the centre of Banyuwangi, however, if you arrive on the ferry like us Grab taxi drivers won't pick up from this area, we had to walk 200-300 metres from the port to meet our driver. Hotel is new, well-designed, very clean, with nice pool, gym, top floor lounge & bar. Room and bed were huge, very comfortable, with views towards Bali, and we enjoyed our two-night stay very much. Staff were charming and professional, we particularly appreciated Moza (I think that was her name, apologies if not correct) who checked us in & out, and also arranged the Ijen Crater tour for us including the medical check with a local doctor. Another young lady at reception also helped us book train tickets for our onward journey to Probolinggo using the tiket app. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of freshly cooked western and asian options, however, food at other times was average such as the salad & pizza in the photographs, and drinks in the lounge bar very expensive. We recommend taking a short taxi ride to the small restaurants on the coast near the fish market where you can get excellent fresh fish grilled for the same price as the hotel pizza, with a better atmosphere and local colour. We would definitely stay here again, an excellent hotel, great value for money including the breakfast, and we also appreciated the filtered water dispensers on every floor that removed the need for plastic bottles in the room - why don't more hotels offer such a simple way of reducing plastic? Highly recommend.
AAnton tsUnfortunately, my experience with this hotel was negative due to a booking error. I accidentally selected the wrong date, and when I tried to change the reservation, it turned out that there were no available rooms on the day I needed. The cancellation policy was too strict, resulting in me losing money even though I didn't physically use the hotel's services.
Despite not being able to evaluate the hotel myself, my friends who had previously stayed there spoke very highly of it. They noted the comfort and convenience of the accommodation, and also mentioned that the hotel offers trips to Mount Ijen, which is a significant advantage for travelers.
Overall, although my impression was marred by an unfortunate booking experience, I hope other guests can avoid such situations and enjoy their stay at this hotel.
JJoyjourney_88This is the first time for me to go to banyuwangi…..at 1 st….i didnt know where to stay and when I browse, I found this hotel and the location is in the main road….
.
The staffs there are friendly and helpful…. And it’s easy to find food there….there’s a cafe and chinese food restaurant there….the place is very cozy and the price is very affordable….if you are lazy to go out….just order food from them and they will send it to your room
.
Will be back to here again …..thank you aston banyuwangi for the hospitality
GGuest UserBecause we arrived late and got up early the next day, we asked the hotel to pack breakfast and take it away in the morning. The front desk agreed, but when we came to pick it up the next morning, there was nothing. Fortunately, after communication, several people made it for us to take away, and there were omelettes, etc., which was quite satisfactory. The resort is large and the environment is good, but unfortunately I only slept there. The room and bedding are quite comfortable and I slept soundly.
GGuest UserStrategic location, near a public space, Blambangan Park. Not a crowded public space, so it's not so noisy.
Check in exactly at 2 pm. No elevator, but no worries, they help us bringing our luggage to 2nd floor.
Interesting architecture, like classic Javanese. Swimming pool is not too large but clean & nice.
Clean & comfort room. They have view units (less than 40 rooms, if I'm not wrong). Really good if you want to avoid crowd situation during your stay.
No coffee maker available in the room. If you need a hot drink, they provide hot coffee & tea for free, in the corner of the restaurant. So, no issue for me.
IIvan PranovichOne of surf camps located near G land surf spot. Recently renovated and looks nice.
If you need internet for work G Land area is not good. In all surf camps nearby and wifi for video calling or stable sockets. Mobile network is the same. Closest village with good internet is located in 1 hour road from g land. We left this place 1 day before than our booking is expired because of bad internet.
If you on your own transport you have to show your reservation in alas purwo national park. Otherwise it’s forbidden to enter park on your own transport.
The food is good for surfers. You accumulate it during your stay and pay at the end. The dormitory room looks simple and clean (you have to go to toilet outside in 30 seconds). There are loads of monkeys in the area: be careful during your breakfast, they could easily catch your milkshake or so. Staff spend some time to deal with monkeys.
They have transfer with boat to surf spots. If you want to paddle in beach is just 100 meters away.
Many animals are nearby: I saw deers, boars, monkeys. There are some gossips about tigers.
