"We found the location excellent. The pick up and drop off for travellers a very good service. Our room was comfortable and clean, all the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu has a wide range of options. We used Swiss Belinn each time we passed through Surabaya and that would indicate that we found it excellent value."

"There's a lot that's right with this hotel. Room is clean, bright and modern looking. If there is such a thing as a super king size bed then this would be it. Comfortable firmness with 4 pillows. Bedroom slippers, hand towels and usual toiletries provided. Water pressure and temperature control is good. I really appreciate having usb/electrical outlets next to each side of the bed. There are smoking and non-smoking rooms available. I have to say their breakfast spread is the most varied that I have ever seen. Loads of choices and it came with a nice view as the restaurant is on the 17th floor. Service was a bit slow when it came to clearing the used plates if you're not near the service station but still acceptable. All the staff that we encountered were very polite and friendly, from front desk to housekeeping. Location wise it's quite central. Lots of cafes and a few mini marts around the hotel area. Can use grab if you need to go further."

"The room and facilities were good. However, it's a shame the hotel seemed severely understaffed. Upon entering the lobby, there was no one to assist except for a single X-ray security officer. Guests had to carry their own luggage and bags onto the X-ray machine. During check-in, only one staff member was available. Furthermore, the restaurant staff at breakfast were neither welcoming nor particularly friendly."

"Booked the hotel for one night as a stop over place when arriving in Indonesia. I arrived by taxi, and the next day caught the train. I chose this hotel due to the location near the train station. It was easy for me to walk to the train station, though the traffic is very busy and not always stable footpaths - it was ok for me as I had a backpack though would not be very walkable for someone with bigger luggage. I stayed again for one night when returning by train, then flying out of the country. Hotel was nice, staff friendly. On my first night I arrived late in the evening and was able to get vegetarian food from room service. On my 2nd night I ate out in the shopping mall that is located next to the hotel. The room is clean and comfortable. I appreciated the fact that there was a bath tub. Also, I liked that there were no plastic bottles of water; each room has a jug and you get water from the dispenser in the corridor. I did not have time to try out the swimming pool. The restaurant has a morning breakfast buffet with a selection of Asian and Western style food options, including having some items made to order...you can fill up for the day."

"Super good location. 5min walk to Tunjungan Mall, the best n biggest mall in Surabaya. Near to many good restaurant. Stuff was friendly. Everything looks new n clean. Bed is comfy n not too soft. Just to my liking. Breakfast serve mostly traditional local food n some international selections, not too many varieties but ok for my 2 night stay."

"Old hotel but well maintained. Rooms r huge n clean n the ac is very cold n i like it. The only minus thing is that the tv channel , no Hbo/Cinemax. Breakfast not much variety but taste ok. Staff r very helpful. Recommend fr this hotel."

"Hotel staff not so warm and friendly. Some do not understand basic english. I was left standing for no reason. Only when i asked what am i waiting for, someone “jumped” in and served me. Room was ok. Comfy bed. I slept well. But towels are were old with frayed ends. Gross. Location is less than 10 mins to Tunjungan Plaza, a popular mall. Traffic is mad so crossing the road is challenging. No bottled water but rooms have pitchers to fill up water from Dispensers outside rooms. Good initiative."

"We had a good stay at Grand Whiz Praxis. The views from our room were great but although being on the 18th floor it was very noisy, be it the streets, the neighbours or some workers drilling and hammering at 11:30 pm. Also the rooms was quite illuminated at night from the windows and hallway. Breakfast was good. The hotel seems quite new and is partly still under construction but is not really well maintained as many appliances show signs of usage. Our stay was good but I would probably choose a different hotel the next time."

"The location is excellent, providing easy access to Surabaya city center. I was particularly impressed by the wide variety of sauces offered at breakfast. Regarding cleanliness, I'd suggest they implement more thorough pest control, as I did notice some small insects in certain areas."
