The hotel does not have any supporting facilities, and it is still under maintenance. In addition to sleeping, this hotel basically has no supporting facilities, not even basic dining, although the hotel environment is general but the scenery is good.
I've been stuck here a lot of times. I like the pool at Jazz 2, so I always choose a room here. Although it's a bit far if you want breakfast. But the pool has Japanese flowers that always bloom to make adem.
This hotel is incredibly poorly staffed from the general manager to the chamber staff. I had been travelling in the national park before arriving so I was dirty and dishevelled. When I arrived the manager was stood outside and stared rudely, as though we were scum. I assumed he was a customer ans stared back to challenge him. Eventually he smiled at me. When I went to reception, I was shocked to realise he was the manager. My guide was trying to check me in and to show him a copy of my identity card. He was refusing and rudely insisted on seeing my passport. I have Indonesian residency and my card is enough there is no reason under law for him to need my passport. It is not just that he did this, but how rude and superior he was when he did it. This is not the way to treat guests. I will admit to being rather scathing with him and after a little while he became obsequious, dropping his superiority. What is most ironic, about this is that the hotel room they gave me was dirty and exceedingly poorly maintained. I found hairs in the bed and insisted they change the sheets. The door of a cupboard fell off when they did this. The maintenance people's solution was to hold it in with a piece folded up paper so it fell out again an hour later. One of the plug sockets did not work. The chair in the room was so filthy the arms were black. I am afraid as the manager had been so snobby and rude, I took some delight in making him come and see everything and forcing him to fix it. If he had been nice I probably would have stopped at the sheets. Anyway, long story, but I would not stay here again if I could avoid it. And the owner should fire their incompetent manager who spends far more time making himself look good and standing around intimidating guests than doing his job and supervising his staff. In covid times in particular - it was not like he had many guests.

This is my first day staying in Aston Palu, and I still have 2 more days, and so far so good. I arranged an office event here, and the staffs are super helpful, shout out to Mbak Tasya, thank you very much, ya, Mbak. Hopefully the event runs well tonight! Just a lil inconvenient when we enter the lobby area, since the parking lot is quite small, but the surrounding area is kind of good (it's in the downtown, so pretty easy to go anywhere). My most favorite part so far is the Nasi Kuning in breakfast session. It was good. I also tried the food in their cafe, Malila, and most of them were delicious. I recommend you guys to try the tuna satay and garang asem! So yeah, need some improvement, but I am sure Aston Palu will improve better in the future. Uh, a little complaint, when they cleaned my room in the 2nd day, they did not throw away the trash, and they forgot to put the floor mat so it got so wet in the bathroom. :(

Thank you lucky hotel, I have stayed here a few times and have many memories in this hotel. The place is clean, the receptionist is friendly and kind, always successful ✨
Special thanks to restaurant team for the delicious and various breakfast menu and very good service. Also the FO team very much thank you for their fast action during check in. Regarding hotel building. As i have been done traveling and stayed Santika hotel Palu in 2018. But looks still the same. Just suggestion maybe Santika Palu needs to have little bit renovation and refreshness. To make it more modern especially for the rooms and bathroom design. Looks too old for Santika standard. It should be the same standard under the same management all over Indonesia.
