We recently stayed for one night at Gateway in Varkala, and it was a delightful experience. The property has an old-world charm, with antique features that have been beautifully maintained, giving it a unique and welcoming atmosphere. Our stay was peaceful, with stunning views of the beach, making it the perfect spot for relaxation. The staff truly made our visit special. Shruthy, Reji, and Hari were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch that we greatly appreciated. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and are already looking forward to our next visit. Gateway, Varkala is a gem, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene and charming getaway.

We have enjoyed the stay at this resort with good facilities like a pool and a good area outside for spending time. At this price range it's very budget friendly as well. Of course the staff there was so friendly and the service provided by them was good. Suggestions: provide extra water bottles, min one bottle for each person. And towels also provide each person. We have received only one bottle of water and one towel for three guests.

In one word, Excellent. The service provided was excellent. You would feel it was a 4 star hotel. The best stay we've had while visiting India. Very clean and the deco is so pleasing to the eye.
The ***ager was excellent, so were the staff. The ***ager was very accommodating of our needs. Did everything to make our stay comfortable. No wonder the staff were so good. As for the chef! what can I say. Excellent. Meals were delicious and cheaper than eating out of the hotel. Wish I could have brought him back with me!!!
No hesitation to recommend. As I said, equivalent to a 4 star hotel

The welcome was not ageable. While they handed us the room, they invited us to have a drink in the hotel restaurant, we asked if smoking was allowed and they told us there was no problem. Another English guest sitting at the other end of the restaurant got up and complained about the bad taste of the tobacco. A blonde lady (not Indian) came and asked us to go outside, later we discovered that she was the owner but she never introduced herself, she welcomed us, she never even said good morning and she was never interested in how the stay was. The rooms are nice and clean mini villas but the mattress is so hard that you prefer to sleep on the floor. The restaurant food is good, the restaurant service when they are not on the cell phone are friendly. It is close to the cliff but the roads to get there are very narrow and full of mud. They don't have lighting so you have to use your cell phone flashlight. The general space of the villas is nice but it lacks maintenance. There are ***y cheaper accommodation options on the cliff that I think may be a better option.

I stayed in this beautiful resort which is right by the beach. One can get the best of the beach view sitting in their rooms. Mr. Anoop was so kind enough a person who did all arrangements for us there. I met the GM there who was so nice in guiding us about places to see around. The most interesting part of this place is their southindian thali meal that they serve during lunch. It was much more than awesome. A great place for someone to be there to relax and go stress free. I will defenitely recommend this place to all my friends and relatives.

very nice rooms, comfortable, neat and clean. room and bathroom are very specious. for family, solo,and for friends it is a best option if you are looking hotel on budget. beaches are nearby. staffs are very friendly and helpful. they will arrange scooty,taxi and auto as per your ask.

ВВладимир БорисенкоOverall everything was nice. In particular, the hotel parks cars right on the approaches to the room. For the rooms with sea view, it is not worth paying over, as it is not a sea view. From Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday to be ready for a very loud music until 2 nights, in 15 metres of night club and it is not regulated anyway.

GGuest UserIn one word, Excellent. The service provided was excellent. You would feel it was a 4 star hotel. The best stay we've had while visiting India. Very clean and the deco is so pleasing to the eye.
The ***ager was excellent, so were the staff. The ***ager was very accommodating of our needs. Did everything to make our stay comfortable. No wonder the staff were so good. As for the chef! what can I say. Excellent. Meals were delicious and cheaper than eating out of the hotel. Wish I could have brought him back with me!!!
No hesitation to recommend. As I said, equivalent to a 4 star hotel

GGuest User😍How should I start when my first solo trip for 7 days was made osm with zostel Varkala, the vibe, the place and from the day 1 wowww also 😍do u even get bored when u have cute volunteers like Vishaka and Shailendra, the activities and efforts they make and how i can miss to say the cafeteria in charge Manu who making me special teas every morning...Zostel Varkala literally become my second home cant wait to Visit again!! Guys!!!!

The property has an old-world charm, with antique features that have been beautifully maintained, giving it a unique and welcoming atmosphere. Our stay was peaceful, with stunning views of the beach, making it the perfect spot for relaxation. The staff truly made our visit special. Shruthy, Reji, and Hari were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch that we greatly appreciated. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and are already looking forward to our next visit. Gateway, Varkala is a gem, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene and charming getaway.

GGuest UserThe place was good, pocket-friendly and neat. It is a km away from varkala helipad. The walk is not tiresome. On the way, we had options to choose between food spots. The room is pretty spacious. The staff were not annoying or disturbing. Good place.
