🙂Struttura a circa 1 km dalle cascatelle naturali. 🙂 camere pulite. In gruppo, abbiamo soggiornato in diverse sistemazioni. ☹️“Dependance”: consiste in una casetta indipendente con camera da letto, salotto e bagno, adiacente una cantina/magazzino agricolo. É senza riscaldamento, hanno messo un letto in salotto vicino ad una stufa a pellet (da accendere). Peccato che il pellet fornito fosse insufficiente per i due pernottamenti. Abbiamo richiesto che ce ne fosse fornito altro, ma non abbiamo ricevuto nulla. La temperatura esterna serale era di 3/8°, vi lascio immaginare com’era lavarsi nel bagno senza riscaldamento… Ovviamente non eravamo stati avvisati della mancanza del riscaldamento in questa sistemazione. 🙁 La camera standard aveva una unica finestra affacciata proprio a fianco della reception, lungo il vialetto di accesso alle altre camere della struttura: ovviamente non si potevano tenere le tende aperte per poter far passare un po’ di luce. Nella doccia c’è la tenda. 🙁 Wifi lento e connessione scarsa. ☹️ Scarsa cortesia della receptionist. 🙁 Avevamo prenotato 6 mesi fa, in occasione di un nostro soggiorno presso altra loro struttura, ora dismessa. Il giorno prima di partire riceviamo richiesta di pagamento con carta di credito per un importo maggiore di quanto avevamo pattuito. Telefoniamo e la risposta è: “sarà stata la mia collega”, “intanto inserite la carta, poi quando siete qua ci guardiamo”, “tanto pagherete quando siete qui”. Non c’è stato modo di verificare telefonicamente quanto effettivamente avremmo pagato, e ci è stato detto che se non inserivamo la carta di credito la prenotazione non sarebbe stata confermata. Comunque la fantomatica collega che non avrebbe portato il pellet e avrebbe inserito gli importi sbagliati, noi non l’abbiamo mai vista né sentita.

A wonderful place. The room was large, clean, with excellent bathroom and amenities. Comfortable bed and pillows. Well soundproofed. A stone's throw from the famous Molino waterfalls and the spa. Laura and Mr. Renato are two pearls! The owner is an exquisite person. They go out of their way to put you at ease and make your holiday as comfortable as possible. The abundant breakfast with homemade cakes, cured meats, croissants, bruschetta with oil. It is a small oasis of peace, where we will certainly return and it will always be our point of reference. The quality/price ratio is also excellent.

A great resort and a great place to stay. Although not the most family-friendly, it's meant for older couples (very old). It was a great place to stay. The staff was great, the facilities outstanding and overall a very relaxing place. We stayed two days and were very impressed with the facilities and the overall resort experience. This is definitely the better way to experience the springs rather than at a public place that was filled with people. The breakfast was exceptional, they even had their own juicer! Highly recommend.

If you search TripAdvisor for Saturnia, you will see several different ”properties”. And that's because there are. I would have thought that there were these hot springs with a resort built around it, but that is sort of the case and sort of not. In reality, the Saturnia hot springs have THREE different ”properties” all somewhat connected and all somewhat (confusingly) distinct. Here is my guide to them: PROPERTIES - 1. Saturnia Tuscany Hotel Resort 2. Saturnia Parco Thermal 3. Saturnal Thermal Springs PRICING - 1. Saturnia Tuscany Hotel Resort - pricey 2. Saturnia Parco Thermal - middle market 3. Saturnal Thermal Springs - FREE POOLS 1. Saturnia Tuscany Hotel Resort - Big swimming pool fed by original spring, with a natural (small rocks) bottom. Protected seating area around it. 2. Saturnia Parco Thermal - Multiple pools including an indoor one and one for children as well as a saune. All outdoors with no real protected seating. 3. Saturnal Thermal Springs - The Insta-iconic original. A public beach like place. Shallow, rocky and crowded. The Resort and the Parco are physically connected to each other and share a spa (with very weak massage treatments...no pressure, just slathering oil on you), but they are different commercial entities. So if you want a day in the ”thermal” (well, tepid) pools with ”magic algae”, then you have two choose between a package by one of these two different (but connected properties). Neither of these places are that near to the original and famous springs themselves (those are about a half mile drive down the road). In short, we don't regret visiting Saturnia. It was a good excuse and base from which to visit a bunch of lovely surrounding Tuscany sites (Pitigliano, Sovana, Montemerano), and we enjoyed playing a round of golf amidst the Tuscany countryside scenery (and the course is dog-friendly, so they get bonus points for that). But if you want to make a trip for some hot springs in Europe, Iceland and the Azores are miles better.
