"This is my first experience staying at a Japanese temple. The place is very clean and has the feel of nostalgia of a ancient temple located next to the okunoin cemetery. The room is spacious equipped with heater, tv and necessary amenity. The break is served at around 7:30am after the mediation which the guests are invited to join and the dinner is around 5:30pm. All vegetarian menus which are very delicious. You will be given a wooden stick to write your wish and name and use it during the fire ceremony at 1pm take place next to the temple. The place are ran by professional monks who speak good English. I highly recommend this place. The only downfall is there are only two restroom without bidet in the facility."
"Loved the vibe of this place. It felt very traditional and was a super unique experience. The included dinner and breakfast were alright, not quite my speed but I enjoyed it for the most part. The morning ceremony at 6:45am was cool, and we were given a quick tour and history lesson after. The room was warm and clean, even after it snowed quite a bit overnight. The bath was great too. I’d definitely stay here again."
"Very good experience, there is a private hot spring available in the room, no need to go to the big bath
Breakfast and dinner are arranged very well, and the staff is very polite 👍🏻 But the location is relatively remote and it will be more convenient to drive by car."
"Fabulous Japanese breakfast. Very delicious and stylish.
Quite and picturesque location. Nature, mountain road, deers in forest around here
Comfortable matres and soft pillow.
Traditional pajama yukata and beauty treatment set in room. Private small courtyard.
Great Japanese public bath onsen. Cozy, hot and beautiful. There was all you need- shampoo, soap etc.
Spacious parking.
You may buy beer, soft drink, ice-cream and some food on front desk.
In real life hotel looks much better than on photos.
Please, make new professional photo of you hotel for other future clients."
"I was the only one who used the whole hotel that day. The experience of one person is really superb. At night, the manager's grandfather didn't seem to live in the hotel but went straight home. There is no toilet and bathroom in the room, and there is a shared one in the hotel."
"When I opened the door, I was shocked. It was so beautiful. I stayed at the shukubo for two nights. I thought it was expensive when I booked it. I lost half of my iPhone in two nights. But I was shocked when I opened the door. 😄The shukubo is very close to Kongo Peak. The location is in the center of Koyasan. It is close to the bus stop. It is very convenient. I highly recommend it. I give it a thumbs up👍"
"It is said to be the imperial residence of Emperor Toba and Empress. It has a beautiful environment and the hardware is new and clean. The location is good, in the middle, you can walk to major attractions in ten minutes. There is a short uphill walk to get off the bus.
I booked a Japanese-style room with a bathroom. I stayed in a room on the second floor. There was a small entrance hall, a sink, and a small bathroom at the entrance. It's very cold in Mount Koya in winter. With the air conditioner and heating on, the room is very warm.
The breakfast and dinner of Shojin cuisine are very sumptuous. In the morning class, the master will lead the chanting of sutras and incense, as well as Azi Temple meditation. If you want to participate in the fire offering, you need to make reservations at other temples. There are dedicated people who come to the room to take meals and morning classes, and the service is very considerate. I’ll come back next time during the red leaf season."
"It's great. The room has a view of the courtyard, and it's beautiful to look out through the window. The staff is very friendly and there are staff who can speak Chinese. Nishizenin is on the side of the path, very quiet, especially in winter, there is no noise at all.
The food is good. The dinner is different for two days. The first day is vegetarian, with vegetarian eel and sashimi. The second meal should be pure vegetable. I personally like the second meal.
There are morning prayers, paid copying of sutras, drawing of Buddha statues, and Aji Kan meditation.
The location is convenient, not far from the gate of Rikoyasan, you can take a bus to Okunoin, and then walk all the way back, without going back."
"The hardware is unique and beautiful! There are two aspects to the software: 1. If you are a true Buddhist, you will feel that the commercial atmosphere is very strong, and the morning and evening classes are irregular. 2. The basic services are not up to standard, such as frozen food. It is disappointing that hot water or water boiling tools are not provided in snowy weather. of!"
"Excellent shukubo, real accommodation for pillies. Traditional Japanese style, comfortable accommodation, polite pleasant staff. Excellent Sento. Delicious vegetarian caiseki. In the yard a stylish garden and a pond with carp. In the morning, guests are invited to the Buddhist traditional procedures. Very recommended!"
