Hotel room is clean and comfortable. They even give one free entrance to the onsen next door. Staff are courteous and welcoming. Only shortcoming is it is located next to a railway crossing and sound proofing is not perfect. So be prepared to be awaken at 2am in the morning due to train crossing.

This is a public bath frequented by locals with accommodation. People come and go, so not lively. Health is definitely stronger than domestic, but as a short-term traveler, this kind of accommodation is not recommended. Most of the amenities are available, so it's not an inconvenience. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the nearby convenience store. The room does not lock automatically, so be careful when going out. Breakfast had a wide variety of bread and rice. I would like to use it again when I visit Odate.

Hotel is pretty far away from Odate Station about 30 mins by foot. There are buses from the Station to the Hotel if you do not want to walk. Overall the price is reasonable and it is a decent hotel to stay in Odate.
